All you trolls, go home

Some of us actually remember Ronald Ray-gun's policies and how we got switched from our parents retirement plans into the 401Ks that were 'better' for us.

Yeah, it looked good in the '90s for a while, so we didn't protest. Then Dubya hit. And we started paying attention.

We realized we were screwed. Our retirements WERE the stock markets, and we had zero control and zero input. In fact, we had no say in those CEOs and others flying off with zillions of our retirement.

So, let's get this straight: The Republican deregulators (Phil Gramm is one of the worst, IMHO) pawned this stock market on us, even as a parents and grandparents said "Don't let them do this!" but we were helpless.

Now we are stuck. Screw you Republican fools. Go eat your investment returns. Why should I be so concerned about the market now? You have already took everything from my 401K. I will be working at 90.

At least President Obama is trying, which is more than I can say for any of these friggin' obstructionists.

Don't trust these Republican who have suddenly got the religion of 'fiscal responsability.' They took all of our money and now they are damn liars.

Sliding taxes

Big business already gets more tax incentives than anyone. As for giving special tax cuts to those that own stock, the company directors 'own' most of the stock.

And Michelle Bachmann is just an idiot. (Don't worry Minnesota, looks like you did good with Senators. Some states have all idiots.)

I have watched while our job poor area has out bid (translated: out tax cut, gave away tax dollars, gave tax 'rebates' etc.etc.) to get big companies to move to our poor area rather than some other poor area that is just as desperate for the 'good' $9.00 per hour jobs.

This job bid stuff should be made illegal. It is bad for small businesses (I have personally seen several go under when our area gave a huge chain money and put small businesses out of business)all for 'the businesses that create jobs!

Bachmann--taking care of business, and she doesn't give a damn if you work over time....

How much does it pay?

What is the salary for those who come and post on these boards with right wing messages? Does the Republican Party or some 'think group' fund them? What idiot votes Republican, now?

News flash: Republicans discover--after they wrecked the economy and crammed theocracy at us-- they are supposed to be about fiscal responsability, please ignore their actions since the Ronnie Ray-gun years. Also, in a breaking story, Michael Steele discovers his skin color is darker than the average Republican's.

Now, one more time for the group that is really s-l-o-w. Republicans discover.....

Ok let me get this straight....

Now you are mad. You are mad because you can put a face to it, somebody who is getting something you aren't.

Someone getting a dollar or two you didn't.

Didn't matter when Madoff got billions or Cheney's friends got trillions. Didn't matter when Blackwater killed people for money.

Didn't matter then when somebody took that zillions in money. Now it matters when some poor soul gets rescued and yes, some people WILL take advantage of this program. A few thousand dollars pissed you off because you are jealous, a few billion you could care less.

Why aren't you pissed off at the Repub-la-greed?

You are fools for putting up with this propaganda. BTW, my mortgage is paid up, and I don't qualify for a refi. The only person I can think of that might is a lady that is pinching pennies to make ends meet. I would rather her get a refi that a Wall Street firm any day. So, piss off whiners. You are the losers.

Deminted

Let Demint present his bill. And afterwards, with a little fan fare, will someone like, oh, maybe new Senator Al Franken get up and ad an amendment that says "Republicans fiddle while America burns." Another Senator could add "Republicans want America to eat cake!"

You get the idea....

Reality Check

I know what it is like to be dirt, food-stamp, poor, I grew up that way. I also went to college on student loans, Pell Grants and scholarships and, yes, WORK. I made my own way, and paid back my loans. No help from parents, they didn't have a dime.

But I know now kids who can't get loans. Who don't qualify any scholarship. Who are just stuck, working in a Wally world, working just to get by.

Compassion is gone, in a couple of decades. Good grief America. WAKE UP! We have been robbed by Wall Street.

I know this much: If I were in the same situation I was in when I got out of High School, I would never make it today. And that is just freakin' sad. Pathetic. Horrible. And even if I got the same degree some how, what job would I get this year?

Get some compassion and quit whining about how somebody got something you didn't. Help your neighbor. This country is big time trouble.

@Jim Montague

Thank you for your explanation of taxes. I have been harping about capital gains for years. I can't tell you how many Republican legislators I have asked why there should be no tax on capital gains but the average persons measly savings account is taxed as ordinary income. Many of these legislators are so out of it, they don't know the difference.

As for the whole article, Glenn Greenwald, as usual hits the ball out of the park. These nutty people are out here, especially in red America. Funny thing is, the very same people hated what Tim McVeigh did, yet they cannot see that they are doing the same damn thing.

If you try to talk to them about it, they offer to show you their AK47s. I know. Some of these nuts are my relatives.
