Thank you

Thanks for this story. These days there are very few writers I rely on but Glenn Greenwald is one of them.

Now I am sick at the thought of Daschle in charge of anything. I am surprised he didn't turn Republican, he certainly acts like one.

And, BTW, why can't we have a law that says close family members of Senators and Congress members cannot be lobbyists? This has got to be as rotten as any system in any banana republic.

Well, well

In the interest of so called 'bipartisanship' what would Dubya do? What would McCain do? Appoint a Democrat?

I am laughing so hard I almost wet my pants....

Hey Republicans!

Fix your state governments with tax cuts! Isn't that your answer for everything?

Will someone explain

What is the attraction of this woman? For the life of me, I don't understand it.

The Republicans have a few educated women, even if I disagree with them on almost every issue, for example Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson or the Governor of Hawaii. Or, god forbid, a moderate like Christine Todd Whitman. Why do they pick a stupid woman like Palin?

Must be these damn fools are wishing for Armeggedon and know Palin will nuke the hell out of the Middle East. They want the religious pseudo Christian taliban in charge in America.

Stupid is as stupid does. And go ahead, steal their money. I truly believe now there are many poor Republicans who are so pigheaded they refuse to believe they have been robbed blind by this Gang of Professional thieves.

These people just make me sick any more. I am tired of trying to reason with them.

The Real Brains

Jon Stewart is the brains of the TV media. He makes more since than any of the talking heads. And if this country ever elects Palin as President, I will believe in 'end times.' We are frickin' doomed.

Ok....

I know nothing about NH, but why would a Democratic governor appoint a Republican to the Senate? That is political suicide. This stinks to high heaven.

And I am a big fan of our President. But this back dealing isn't pretty.

Anti Stupid

I am not rich, and I only have a Bachelor's Degree from a state school in this very red state.

But, damn, I can't help but say the rank and file Republicans that support Palin and the Plumber ARE STUPID!!!!

I guess that makes me a liberal elite. I prefer to think I am just an average person who doesn't want total idiots in charge of my country. And I didn't think they could get more stupid than Bush. Guess I was wrong.

@Lyta Zon

Who says the Republicans aren't 'tax cheats?' Setting up a tax code that favors the rich is tax cheating.

Loop holes set up for billionaires is tax cheats.

And, no Sarah Palin isn't hot. As a straight female even I can sense which women are 'hot.' Angelina Jolie is hot. Sarah Palin is stupid.

Big difference.

Screw 'em

Personally, I am sick of these faux Christians who don't give a damn about what Jesus said.

They have done nothing but spread hate for years.

Karma is gonna bite them in the butt one day. Hopefully, really, really soon.

Inhofe --The Worst U S Senator

James Inhofe, if his mouth is moving he is saying something idiotic and probably an out and out lie.

Many Okies believe he is the worst of all of the Senators. Quite a feat, considering he has some tough competition.

Socialism

Since any form of government is technially a form of socialism because it does something for the community of people, rather than just the individual:

If the firetrucks don't come when Glenn Beck's mansion is on fire, maybe he will want a little socialism.

If Rush's remains of oxycotin won't flush because the sewers no longer work, maybe he will stop screaming about the evils of socialism.

If O'Reilly's garbage doesn't get hauled away because there is no public dump, maybe he will suddenly 'get it' about what socialism means.

If Hannity doesn't have a decent highway on which to drive his fast car, maybe he will want a little socialism.

Of course, the meanest, rudest bastards with the biggest guns would rule. Maybe that is what these blowhards want.

Most people want a little socialism. These idiots just don't get that we all use a little socialism every day.

Of course, if there was no socialism, there would be no money to pay the police. I guess pot would be legal then, wouldn't it?

So frigin what?

These ding bat Senators threw out the funding for science. So, cry, whiners, cry.

I hope the funding for any religion and superstition is removed. Screw all of you idiots who don't get it that WE DON'T WANT YOUR RELIGION!!

BTW, Read your Bibles. Jesus would spew you out of his mouth, too.

Learn the lessons early

Well, Obama is learning early that the Republicans, with a few exceptions, are a bunch of whiny, cry baby obstructionists. Unfortunately, so are a few of the Democrats.

Now he knows who he can count on. And who he can invite over for discussions on how to really get things done.

Inhofe --The Idiot

That jackass Inhofe needs to look at the state he supposedly represents. The average salary of the working people in Oklahoma is one of the lowest in the country. Rural people here in many cases barely scrape by. Kids go hungry every night.

Now if the stupid people in this state would just WAKE UP and realize Inhofe doesn't give a damn about them, he just leads them around at election time by scaring them about the boogey men of abortion and gays and terrorists.

Inhofe: The worst Senator. Bottom of the pile of crap.

Such a fine distinction.
