And yet again..

Where have these naysayers been on all the white male appointments?

If Caroline's brother JKF Jr. had lived and been up for the same appointment, would anyone be saying these things?

Did anyone say anything when any of the male Kennedy's entered politics? Did anyone say anything when any of the Bush family men entered politics?

Why is it only when the women such as Hillary and Caroline enter the ring that suddenly they are not qualified? Even (puke) Palin--who clearly was not qualified--was critized over too many wrong issues. What male would have been received such flak over his clothing?

This country is prejudiced against anyone except white males. I hope Caroline gets the appointment. And I hope she kicks some white male ass.

If this is the 'left leaning press' no wonder there have been so few women and minority leaders in this country.

What if?

What if JFK, Jr had survived? Would these same questions be asked? Why are these questions only asked of women and minorities?

It seems nepotism is evident in politics everywhere because of the magic of name recognition. Let Caroline have her chance. Besides, she has to run in a couple of years. If she is that bad, throw her out.

Of course, that is always easier said than done. But Caroline may be just dandy in this position. It isn't as if she doesn't know people to call for help.

Who else?

The rest of the country really did not have a clue what was going on with Gov Blagojevich. Apparently, several of you in Illinois did.

OK, fess up. Who else has a corrupt governor out there? Who has a squeaky clean governor?

Our Governor is boring as hell, but not a sniff of corruption about him. (Gov Henry, Oklahoma)

Tuesday, December 9, 2008 10:18 AM

Yuck.....

Of course the idiot Blagojevich had to be from Illinois. Now we will never hear the last of the wild theories from the Republicans.

Somehow, they will twist it so being from the same state will make Obama guilty. Obama needs to get his people out their and clear his name, fast.

Maybe it is something else?

Let's see, Ted Stevens, a Republican, lost in Alaska because he stole money. Now, in Louisiana a Democrat loses a seat because he stole money.

Gee. a pattern is emerging. Voters sometimes vote out thieves.

Will somebody fund a think tank for me now?

Ok breathe

Let's swear President Obama in before we skewer him.

Besides, it seems to me most of the critics are in the media anyway. Most of the real people that I know that support him seem to be OK with what he is doing. They believe we should let him do what what we elected him for before we get upset.

Go have a Merry Christmas or what ever holiday everybody.

Republican gains?

Here is where Republicans will make gains: More seats in the Bible belt, where they won't quit until they have drummed every Democrat out of office.

The exception to that is this: If Obama proves to be so outstanding that he gives Democrats a good name.

But, nah, the Republicans will find something wrong with everything he does. And we will sink more and more into hard core red states and blue states with a fewer and fewer that switch back and forth.

So, please let us just enjoy the Democratic President for a while, and quit with these silly articles about who is doing what in 2010 or 2012.

Original article: Franken's camp claims lead

Go Al Go

For a moment, I thought it was 2000 and Al Gore was pushing for every vote that was his...

Anyway, if Al Franken wins we will get some kind of poetic justice. Maybe Karma will be laughing, out there in the universe somewhere, when the other Al wins in a close election...

Go Al, go, we KNOW you will win!!!

Oh horse hockey

In these uber red states, mine included, the Republicans would vote for a snake before they would vote for a Democrat. Come to think of it they just did.

These Republicans are all coiled up and ready for Obama to make any mistake. They are dripping in venom rapid and ready to strike.

Hatred hasn't gone anywhere except undercover for awhile. The Bushites are still pantin' over Palin.

Unfortunately we haven't seen the last of the idiots.

Sicko

Will somebody start screaming about the male part of birth control? It never ceases to amaze me that the same religious bigots that get their panties in a knot about birth control have no problem with the Viagra ads running 24/7 on television and in magazines.

Why not concentrate on telling the men to give up on sex? Where is the 'provider conscience' for the drug companies that produce the male enhancement drugs? Where are the preachers and pharmacy workers that should have a conscience about what all the men are doing with those drugs? Can't there be a double check to see if they need those pills?

How about ultrasound reviews of their penis before issuing viagra pills?

Obama's Choice

As a died in the wool Obama supporter, I think Hillary is a brilliant choice. She is exactly what Obama said she is: A challenge to his thinking, but he still makes the decisions.

And, suddenly the Republicans are reading the Constitution? Give me a break!

Thanks Glenn

Now, why is it that this is considered the 'left leaning' website? Is Stephen Colbert correct?

Does truth have a liberal bias?

Thank you Glenn, I really appreciate someone pointing out the obvious. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for this. The Nation, Amy Goodman, Bill Moyers, C-Span and you are my regular sources of truth these days.
