  • Huckabee Tax

[Read the article: Mike Huckabee wants to abolish the IRS]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

For all of his "ah, shucks" manners, Huckabee has obviously is faking his concern for the poor or is downright stupid. Anyone who has lived paycheck to paycheck sees this for "feed the rich" scheme it is.

What about the existing sales taxes that keep current cities running? Locally, it is pushing 10%. Let's add Huckabee's scheme and that makes it 40%.

Any idiot should be able to figure out that a flat tax or a sales tax is the most regressive and repressive on the people with the least money.

The best income in the world is passive income, where your money works for you. If you do not spend it all, it gets bigger.

Let me see, what would Jesus do, Pastor Governor wannabe President Huckabee? Would he let those living on the passive incomes just get richer and richer while the poor got poorer?

In Republican land, why, I guess he would.

  • Richardson Quits

[Read the article: Richardson quits the race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Maybe Richardson did not endorse anyone because he honestly wanted to be "a uniter, not a divider."

We just all got cynical because of eight years of Bush-it.

Proves that voting for a Democrat--any of them, is better than the years of Republican repression.

Why make the Democratic party look like we are fighting amongst ourselves? We really all want the same thing--no more Bush or Cheney or any other Republican war mongering, greedy pseudo Christian leader.

Even though he was not my choice, kudos to Richardson for being a class act.

  • Huckabee and God

[Read the article: Huckabee: Amend Constitution for God]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So what did ya'll expect the Huckster to say?

All along the guys with the fat cigars in the back rooms controlled everything and used the religion to get the flock to vote for them. Most of the Republican candidates really--in their gut--did not give two cents about God, gays and abortion. Ergo, all those friggin hyprocrites. It was really, really about money all along. Huckabee, however, is a true believer in his twisted brand of religion. What you see is what you get. Huckabee really believes what he is saying. He should scare everyone with a brain.

The evangelicals LOVE Huckabee. Want to bet which Republican carries the Bible Belt?

The fat cat, cigar smokin' Republican's worst nightmare: They got their own Frankenstein.

  • Bye Fred..

[Read the article: Fred Thompson drops out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Heck, he did not even act like he wanted the job. Just looking at him made most of us yawn.

Fred sucked as a candidate. All he did was read the Republican rule book. Did he ever have an original thought?

Maybe he is just everybody's boring uncle.

  • Panic?

[Read the article: Bernanke presses the panic button]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Am I missing something here? Wasn't a country that kept borrowing money to finance a war of choice bound to hit a problem? Is it not basic economics to bring in money, not cut taxes, in time of war? Didn't the Republicans understand why they had all those war bonds programs in WWII?

How many of us can continually borrow without repayment? Sooner or later, something is going to hit the wall.

These 'short term' goal (mostly) Republicans make me ill. They started a war to make money, and now are freaking out when they lose it. What the hell did they expect when they kept cutting taxes and spending more and more money?

Fools gold. And the American public will be left holding the bag. I just hope everyone has a job that is essential for society. Otherwise, consider yourself in for a ride. This may last a while.

  • On Buchanan

[Read the article: Clinton goes straight back to stumping after loss]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Isn't it fun to watch Pat Buchanan throw a fit? He so wants Hillary to win.

Why? Does he think the Republicans can beat her? Is he afraid of Obama?

  • Fox News is ill?

[Read the article: Republicans make Fox News sick]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I will believe they are really ill when the FAUX News is gone. Really gone. Like, six feet under.

Is America waking up? Let us know a year from now. Then I will send the clowns that made the so called "Fair and Balanced" disaster some dead flowers.

Until then, I won't hold my breath. Zombies have a way of sticking around to haunt us all.

  • About those delegates...

[Read the article: Where the presidential race goes from here]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

CNN, MSNBC, et. al. are posting and/or reporting the delegate count between Hillary and Obama all over the place. Some show Obama ahead, some show Hillary.

While I realize Super Delegates play an important part in this, does anyone know where we can find a list of the actual 'pledged' super delegates? As it is, trying to figure this thing out is like trying to grab a bowl of Jell-o.

I have been voting since 1972. Never have I heard super delegates even mentioned on the news. I knew they existed, but never knew they would be this important.

  • Good Bye Mitt?

[Read the article: Requiem for a right-wing dream]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As usual, these wingers have it figured out. Ask them. Those I work with know it all. They calculate that Hillary or Obama will take it for four years while the Republicans reveal the screw ups and lay the blame on the Democrats.

Then their Reagan reincarnate will rise again and save us all. Jesus will be his (definitely a white male) guidance, albeit if Christ hasn't came and raptured them all by then.

Let's just hope their Reagan President does not come with that well known mushroom cloud.

It really is hard not to despise these right wing nuts.

  • Money for nothing

[Read the article: What will YOU do with your fiscal stimulus check?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Spend half of it on new political candidates who have a heck of a time getting started.

The other half goes straight to my savings account.....

  • Only from FOX today

[Read the article: Chris Wallace: Probing, hard-nosed journalist]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

President Bush said: "Whatever we have done was legal, and whatever decision I will make will be reviewed by the Justice Department to determine whether or not the legality is there."

Yup. That covers it. If you don't like it, listen to his appointee, or the only news that President even bothers with anymore, FAUX.

How can anybody even listen to this guy? Oh, wait! A third of America still believes...
