Jon Stewart: American Voltaire

My, my Jon Stewart touched some nerves didn't he? For a comedian he sure is a thorn in the 'real news' guys butt!

Amazing how these so called 'real' journalists don't give a piss about what Leno or Letterman are saying. Amazing how they ignored all the lunacy of the Bush White House.

How in the heck did these brain trusts expect to throw a war and not pay for it? We are expected to pay our credit cards, student loans, mortgages, cars, etc. etc. etc. Notice how the money boys and girls never said anything about Bush's piss poor management of the country?

And when a comedian points our the money folks mistakes, well crap their panties!

Me doest think they do protest too much....

Thank you President Obama

Thank you President Obama for following science that benefits all of us, not ideology that benefits the followers only.

If they truly believed that stem cells were human, then they would turn down the cures.

My guess is the right wingers with money will be the first in line for the benefits of the research.

Bigger Picture

Well, did anyone take a picture of Malkin doing anything in service of her country? How about Limbaugh? Hannity? Bush? O'Reilly?

I never understood why none of the talking heads has questioned 'compassionate conservatives.' They never do anything to help out anyone in any community.

Heck of a job conservative hot air windbags....

Why Tom Coburn doesn't care about pig odor

In Oklahoma there is a big fight going on between the AG and the big CAFOs about polluting the water tables. Mainly chicken farms, but pig CAFOs are included.

Guess what? The Republicans support, literally, shit on the ground. They don't care that it is polluting the water table and nearby lakes and poisoning people with nitrates, arsenic and other such stuff. Just a coincidence to hear them tell it. Never mind that a hog puts out three times the waste of a human each day. Imagine if a city of 100,000 refused to treat its sewage properly, do you think the water might get polluted? Do you think people would care? Of course, this is a liberal conspiracy, just ask Tom Coburn and his pals.

Oh, did I mention that the Oklahoma AG is a Democrat? Even shit is literally political these days.

Final leap

Well, considering what unfettered capitalism did for all of us, maybe, just maybe that socialism like, oh, Sweden, isn't such a bad idea after all.

Bachmann, go lock yourself in a room with Rush Limbaugh. All the hot air would keep Minnesota warm next winter.

Oh, Rove

Most of us try not to eat fatty slime. Haven't you heard Karl? We are health food nuts.

All that crap you are made of would make us ill....

Kramer

I saw Kramer's rant yesterday, and it pissed me off.

You might as well be following advice from Seinfeld's Kramer. If you had invested the stocks Kramer had suggested, you would still have been in the tank at the end of Bush's term.

And no matter how you revisionists want to change it, this mess is Bush's baby. Just like that Great Depression belonged to Hoover.

Get over yourselves you unregulated markets, greed is good jerks.

Truth

The truth is, Rush Limbaugh IS the leader of the Republican Party. They might as well admit it.

Their mean, nasty, drug-addicted, hateful dictator lives. And not one of them dare challenge him for fear of their heads being taken off.

Don't pick on just Colorado

While Colorado has some nutty people, it has some really wonderful towns too. Don't knock Telluride or Durango or Vail or Boulder or any other number of progressive towns in that state.

Lord knows we have plenty of red states with stupid legislators. But Colorado does have a few mecca areas. And don't forget Colorado hosted the DNC last summer. Denver has a lot of progressive people as well as a wonderful downtown.

And even in Colorado Springs, home of the mega churches, there are some good liberals. And the truth is, Colorado voted BLUE last year.

It is a hopeful place. And it is changing. Pick on another state, where there are many more wing nuts than there. Unfortunately a few wing nuts exist everywhere.

They even are in New York and California.

Tsk Tsk

Tax cuts for everyone making less than $250 are not tax cuts in Republican think.

The only time that tax cuts count are when they are for people that make over $250K.

I used to think Jindal might be reasonable. This week, he has demonstrated he doesn't give a damn about people running out of job benefits but is (gasp!) worried that someone making big bucks might have to pay a little.

BTW, has anyone seen Jindal's birth certificate? He looks a little foreign. My grandmother's maiden aunts cousin's best friends sister was there, I tell you she was there! on a missionary trip when Jindal was born in India.

Now, Jindal, prove it. Prove it ain't so.

Some of our idiot Oklahoma State Legislators have a pending resolution that states President Obama isn't legitimate because 'they have not touched the birth certificate,' even though President Obama has great grandparents buried in this state.

Oh, yeah, the main proponent of this one is a doctor in real life. Please, understand there are liberals in this state, but Republicans are not only fools they are dangerous.
