  • Cook-ies!

[Read the article: Cindy McCain, cookie thief?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How silly! Does anyone really believe Ms. Size Zero Billionaire Stepford Cindy ever bakes cookies?

Of course, if Cindy admitted she didn't have a cookie recipe of her own, she would be kicked out of the Republican submissive little woman club! Gasp! We cannot have a Republican first lady that has a thought outside a kitchen.

Cindy looks like the perfect Republican wife. Of course, she fails on the cookies, and other historical issues but details, details. She fills the part of the "I really don't have a thought of my own, John does that for both of us."

She just makes thinking women want to puke.

  • Thanks Koppelman

Now I do not have to tune in to FOX to see what they are spinning today on their "bash Obama, play something on the floods, bash any Democrat, bash Obama, praise Bush or McCain, repeat" pretend to be news channel.

Salon did their work for them. Now I am sure FAUX will be quoting Salon.

  • For those born in 1952

[Read the article: The self-aware Bill Kristol]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

One of my good friends from High School was born in 1952. His name has long been on the black wall in Washington DC.

I have a strong hunch that friend would now oppose any and all wars. He certainly was not to pleased about his all expense paid trip to Vietnam.

It is really hard not to hate people like Kristol. But I know my friend was a gentle soul that would not want me to do so. This friend would want us to focus our energy on changing the world.

But, even after all these years, it is still so very hard not to hate neo-con chicken hawks.

  • What if....

[Read the article: Who's afraid of Michelle Obama?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Wonder what if a candidate's wife had been found guilty of stealing drugs from a charity she ran. Wonder what if that candidate's wife had been black and poor instead of rich and white.

Does anyone in this country actually believe Obama would have a chance now if his wife had the background of issues of Cindy McCain? Can anyone imagine the FAUX news channel attacks? Who should be having an "image problem" here, but is not? Can anyone actually say there is not a double or triple standard here?

To prove herself half as good, Michelle has to be twice as strong. Luckily, she is one smart lady. She is an asset to her husband, and she will be a great First Lady.

I, too, hope she follows in Hillary's footsteps and starts her own political career. It is America's loss that Eleanor Roosevelt could not.

  • Of course Bill will help

[Read the article: Bill Clinton says he'll help Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bill Clinton loves the crowds, loves the crowds loving him back. That is why he was so popular with so many. If he cannot do this for Hillary, he will do it for Obama.

Bill is a born politician. He will be back. This is in his blood, this is his life. Just wait until Chelsea runs!

  • Arrogant Martini Drinker

[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There are only a few people that I would laugh when they died. Rove is one of them.

Then I would make myself a martini with FRENCH Grey Goose and toast the gods for cleansing the earth of the scum.

Oh, karma, forgive me. Sometimes I just can't help myself.....

Did you read the scientist signature link you posted? The signatures were from 1998. Read the whole article.

It is clear that the scientific evidence--along with scientific thinking--has changed.

Are you a troll for James Inhofe or something?

  • Here is a game when you are bored

[Read the article: An "ominous trend" for Fox News' ratings]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Challenge your TV watching mate: Which will be first when you switch the station to FAUX: A McCain praise or an Obama slur and how long until it happens?

For example, someone could pick an Obama slur, and 5 minutes. Or a McCain praise in 2 minutes. (Note: The Obama slurs happen more frequently.)

The one who most closely matches the FAUX News in actual time is the winner of a free beer, courtesy of the other person.

Be careful, you can get drunk pretty quick. And use an old TV. You find your self throwing the empty cans.

  • So why are you talking about it?

[Read the article: Your prissy mainstream media at work]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why indeed are we subjected to the same trash we can get on FAUX News?

Why do we continue to hear about the non-story of Bernie Mac? And we all love Wanda Sykes, but what the hell does that have to do with anything? What is your point?

Joan, I hope you go back read these columns, after you have got over your love of you-know-who. I think you will understand why some of us are not renewing our Premium service.

No, we are not just Obama-bots. Glen Greenwald has done an exellent job, and has made his point without twittering off somewhere with his personal choice of President and wearing a big chip on his shoulder.

Critisism like Glen Greenwald's is good. MSM crap is just crap. Your column has become mainstream icky. Do you really like Chris Matthews that much? How much does MSNBC pay anyway?

  • Low Information Voters

[Read the article: The Obama cover kerfuffle]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Just thought I would let you know I have already received an email from a Republican with a picture of the cover.

They love it. Yes, some of them even know it is satire, but they are forwarding it to those low information voters who don't understand satire. They don't get it. All they see is that all the stereotypes from all the emails has been reinforced by a magazine from New York.

Of course the New Yorker has the right to publish whatever they want. They think their readers are saavy enough to get it. Most people do. But, they just stirred up shit.

And try to explain satire to someone who doesn't read anything, except the pick and choose verses from the Bible to justify the Republican Party.

It is just annoying to listen to the blowhards. Thanks for nothing New Yorker. You just made life more miserable for those of us in the red states who listen to or see this type of hatred every day.

This just gave the bigots something else to laugh and point at. Believe me, it will be stuck in our face for a long time. Hope you sold a lot of magazines.
