Hillary's good bye

Ok, there are plenty of people who feel Hillary was a victim of sexism. But she did not, repeat did not get mistreated by Barack Obama.

Do not confuse what the media says with what Obama says.

If you respect Hillary then listen to her. She told you NOT to vote for McCain. She told you to support Obama.

McCain is AGAINST women's rights. If McCain wins, it will be a long time before women will progress any more. I predict McCain will pick a female running mate, one of those self serving anti-women women. A Clarence Thomas of women. (Kay Bailey Hutchensen? Condi Rice? A Republican female Governor?) Unfortunately, some Hillary supporters will fall for it and, if McCain wins, this will set women's rights back for YEARS. The Republican woman will never have any real power and, in a general election, the Republicans will never let that woman run as President on her own.

Right now, Obama and McCain are in a staring match. They are both waiting to see who the other picks as Veep. Unfortunately, Obama has to pick first. If Obama picks a man, McCain will pick a woman. If Obama picks Hillary, McCain will pick a alpha male Governor to run against two Senators.

So please! We need to pull together!

Sorry, I should have been clearer in my letter. But you get the idea.

Original article: Obama's vetting problem

Really?

Is this all the Republicans can find on Obama? Salon, why are you printing not one, but two trivial articles today? Why aren't you printing something about Hillary campaigning for Obama?

How about that speech in North Carolina? Why aren't you 'vetting' that?

This guy is really so far down the totem pole in significance. Bush's BROTHER was directly involved in the savings and loan crisis.

McCain was involving in all kinds of stuff with the Keating Five.

This guy isn't even appointed to nose wiper. He is an temporary advisor. Really. REALLY.

What is next, the paper delivery guy?

Yeah, I know her

I am a bit older, but I have grown up with *that* girl, and watched my daughters grow up with *that* girl. And when *that* girl got married, she pulled *that* crap.

Every damn one of those *that* girls are now divorced. They are not getting married to be with a person they love, they are putting on a freak show.

And with maturity and reflection, the rest of us knew exactly what they were doing all along.

For the rest of you, do what some of us did as soon as we figured it out: Find new friends. If they are your relatives, just laugh when they pull their stunts.

They need you so very much more than you need them. Standing your ground works too.

@jebldmm

So, are you voting for McCain? The guy who left his disabled wife for the rich Barbie doll? The guy who opposes women's rights?

Yeah, that really will show those Obama backers, won't it?

We've won?

Obviously, the author has a very limited few of America. I will believe we have won when:

1) Someone finally, openly and completely admits that the War in Iraq is what is causing our inflation and runaway gas prices.

2)The current Republican administation is truly accountable for being totally corrupt and responsible for driving America in the ditch.

3) That we all must PAY for the disaster allowed to happen in Iraq to balance our budget. We also are allowed to put the bastards on trial who did it and take every penny they took back.

5. When Blackwater and Halliburtion get no more no-bid contracts.

4) That our children all receive equal access to education.

5) That we actually have a media that follows true journalism.

......

1000. When all those 200 foot Jesus crosses are no longer being erected by churches whose main mission is to hate gays, call for war and support Republicans.

Delegates Won't Go?

I understand Hillary's reluctance to release her delegates. Who knows? There could be a big blow out and Obama could be smeared or drop out for some reason. There is always that chance, no matter how small. It was true for the delegates for Kerry, Gore, Edwards, Dean, etc. etc.

But to say the Hillary delegates would not show up for the convention is, well, silly. The elected delegates that I have met, whether they be for Obama or Hillary, would not give up their tickets to this convention except for dire emergency.

The Obama delegates would have still shown up if Hillary had won, just as Edwards few delegates will show up. Most of those ordinary delegates worked hard, and were elected to go to the convention. These are contested slots, there are alternates waiting if the delegates cannot go.

No matter who won the primary, when it was evident that it was between Hillary and Obama everyone knew this was going to a convention for the history books.

Heck, wouldn't YOU go? This is the best ticket for a political junkie in YEARS. Better than a Super Bowl ticket, anytime!
