Say what you want, but Obama has been a class act compared to Hillary. Obama is praising her now, she and Bill still are attacking him. Obama has implored his supporters not to protest in Washington at the DNC rules committee. He goes after people who attack HER.
What has Hillary done? Asked people to protest the rules committee. She does not even know the outcome, and she is already protesting.
Rachel Maddow is probably right. Hillary is planning on taking this to the convention. When do you HIllary supporters wake up? This isn't about anything but Hillary any more. I now believe she could care less about anything but her own Presidency.
And still, if she won the nomination, I would vote for her over McCain. I cannot stomach what that man will do to our country.
Can you Hillary supporters say you will vote for Obama? Or, are you so mad you will never get over it? If so, are you really interested in the country or in the idea of something else?
Joan, if a biased Obama editor was writing something that was about a comment he made, this is just what it would sound like. See how this looks?
"Having said that, I want to make clear that I don't believe that everyone who was horrified by Obama's remark was manipulated by the media or the Clinton campaign. The only thing I regret in my debate with Madison is that I didn't make the point that I made in my blog post: Given this nation's tragic history of sexism, and given the disappointments of many people, especially women, have about Hillary Clinton's winning, I understand why there is extra sensitivity on this point. I don't believe that sensitivity is what made his remarks a five-day political story. I think that was the result of the Clinton campaign lighting a match, and its friends in the media fanning the flames."
Now, can we agree that maybe, just maybe you are a bit over the top? And what the hell does this have to do with Scott McClellan?
Now, do us a favor and stay away from all church issues.
Go to funerals. Go to weddings. Just do what the rest of us have to do.
But leave the the God stuff, at least the public displays alone. It will always, in one form or another, prove wrong.
BTW, where does Hillary go to church? And McCain? Most of us really don't give a damn, unless it is in one of those really over the top fruitcake places. (Which maybe all of them, but that is another issue....)
Of course, those anti-Muslim fanatics care, but they will never vote for any Democrat anyway.
Why is the media honing in on Hillary's point on this? All the caucus states do not have popular vote totals. So, Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Colorado, etc. suddenly do not count? Here is a clue: Obama can take Colorado. He can take several other states. That is a big move. Hillary is pissing off the caucus voters I know there. She is telling them they don't count. Not exactly a smart move.
And, by her math, Obama had ZERO voters in Michigan. ENOUGH!! What about the write ins the state refused to count? And, just because Hillary won a state, or Obama won a state, does not mean the other would or would not win it in November. (Hint: Hillary won my state. Neither Democrat has a snowballs chance in hell in this Republican la-la land.)
But now, this is really, really pissing me off. Not Hillary so much--who can blame her for twisting the stats her way? But the MEDIA for spewing it out!
Now, who is the media favoring now? They all know this popular vote is pure HOGWASH!! The irony is she is going to try to us this farce to win the super DELEGATES. How is that not being a bit, oh, two-faced? Hell-o?
Hillary said it her self, over and over, when she was the assumed nominee: It is the delegate count, stupid! So, is it delegates or popular votes? Hmmm.
Her best hope that Senator Obama selects her for a unity ticket. But if he did, he better leave her at the Naval Observatory. She and Bill will still want to run everything.
Another bragging right vote? Is that what this is? What about all the states Obama won?
Hillary: It really, really, really is over this week. And don't you dare take it to the convention. If you disrupt the convention, we will never forgive you.
Never. Not now, and not in 2012, 2016, 2020. We will vote for other Democratic candidates in the primaries. And, sooner or later, we will get a woman who runs an election by the rules.
That is, of course, after President Obama's eight years.
"There is nothing Obama can do to win. White women will not vote for a black male, in whom they subconsciously if not consciously see the rapist of their fear/fantasy.Why Democratic leaders did not head him off at the pass remains a mystery -- to them as well as to me."
WTF?????????????????????????
Seriously, are you off your meds?
Hillary will suspend, but not end, her campaign.
You never know what might happen between now and November. Those 2,116 delegates might get hit by a laser or something.
