Original article: And the Buffy goes to ...

teen soap, my eye

but i do hope that tyra falls hard for the sweet, un-nerd that is landry. his is the most endearing crush on TV.

bless her heart

i didn't think a press secretary could get worse than ari fleisher .. damn, do i stand corrected. she's painfully bad at that job, poor thing. one of monica goodling's homegirls, i presume?

obama/biden in 08

loved last night's debate, even the ufo question -- though i hated how chris matthews ground it into the dirt in the post-debate coverage.

obama shined. biden rocked, as usual. edwards too. but since it's doubtful he'd take a v.p. pick, i think it'll end up being obama/biden as the final team. i sure hope so.

"It would be sort of foolish of him, since we've all agreed that he isn't black."

sorry, zandru, but the sighted among us would "all agree" that obama's a black man. if that bothers you, the repubs have a lovely white robe for your adornment. and hordes of supporters should you decide to make a run for office.

Friday, November 2, 2007 03:22 PM

oh, no ...

now, if you wanna talk sexual jealousy, let's talk about michelle obama. her man's got my vote, and lord knows if he weren't a married man, he could have anything else of mine!

Wednesday, November 7, 2007 08:02 AM

sigh. whatever.

it never ceases to amaze me how the same ilk who are still pissy about bill clinton's indiscretion with monica lewinsky have no problem supporting a two-time adulterer, particularly one who was toting his then-mistress, now-corpse bride judith nathan around on the public dime as part of his city hall "entourage." what nerve! the reason he talks about sept. 11 so much is 'cause on sept. 10, his ass was getting vilified in new york papers for being a ruthless cad. i bet miss judi won't be participating in any "candidates' spouses" forums. cheaters, the both of 'em.

rudy & judi: our nation's "first couple?" don't make me gag.

9/11 drinking game -- great idea!

i'll wait 'til the next republican debate to play, since playing during a rudy guiliani interview/speech/etc. is likely to sicken me before lunch. now, if he got more play in the evening hours, we'd be in business -- and drunker'n sailors in 15 minutes flat, if that.

when is the next republican gagfest, anyway? wanna make sure to have some patron on hand.

bless his evil, rotten heart

won't it just be nice to have a president in the white house who speaks fluent english, for crissakes?! good lord, i wish the election were tomorrow.

Original article: Obama at the Apollo

you were kidding in your lil' closing salvo, right?

please tell me, dear alex, that you weren't really upset that there was no "amateur hour." you were totally joking in your complaint about "no big-name" people, right? surely cornel west, chris rock and whoever else was there -- oh, yeah, barack mufuckin' obama, who's filling more seats than most of those big names you wish were there -- were enough to impress even you, mr. koppelman.

pick a lane, sir: either be snarky or go for straight, objective journalism. your lil' bit at the end effectively missed the mark on both.

Original article: "Oh, Dana"

amen, cosmique

i'm missing jon stewart and stephen colbert like nobody's business. damn, i wish i could wish everybody on the sidewalks a check simply to get those voices in the mix/mess of the last few weeks. i mean days. or is it minutes?

Wednesday, December 12, 2007 12:54 AM

call me crazy, but ...

i desperately want to see an obama/biden ticket. ooh, just the thought of it gives me chills.

hypocrisy, my foot

the better question is why so many former bill clinton administration staffers would rather work with barack than hillary!

and i loved the zinger. that's what she gets for not being polite ...

chris matthews' show

it's taped on either thursday or friday, folks, not live like the other sunday shows. and i think tweedy's actually rather fair -- he's an equal opportunity blowhard on "hardball." i like that in my pundits. it makes for great yelling at the t.v., which entertains my kids to no end.

Monday, December 17, 2007 07:52 AM

great

take him over the cliff with you. it's SO not gonna happen for mccain, so the more stains that can be slapped on lieberman, the better.

ugh. i can't believe that clown was thisclose to being a democratic v.p., bless his heart ...

Sunday, January 13, 2008 08:23 PM

i'm done.

with the clintons. and with salon 'til the election's over. i really can't take anymore.

leave him alone already

from cnn.com friday:

Speaking Thursday to CNN's Drew Griffin and Kathleen Johnston, Wooten gave his account of the Taser incident but denied ever drinking while driving.

He said that he was a new Taser instructor, and his stepson was asking him about the equipment. "I didn't shoot him with live, you know, actual live cartridge," Wooten said.

Instead, he said, he hooked his stepson up to a training aid "with little clips. And, you know, the Taser was activated for less than a second, which would be less than what you would get if you touched an electric fence. ... It was as safe as I could possibly make it."

He said his stepson was on the living room floor surrounded by pillows, that he "was bragging about it," and that the family laughed about it.

Asked whether it was a dumb decision, Wooten told CNN, "absolutely."

---

he got suspended for five days; case closed. the fact that palin went after him even after the divorce -- and AT ALL -- is abuse of power, period.

"It is imperative that the Democratic party shows that they can be empathetic to the multiple cultures of America?"

what?! the democratic party is a rainbow, for crissakes. and anybody who doesn't know "who barack obama is" either isn't paying attention or clearly doesn't want to. and the whole idea that these "working-class people" -- said through clenched teeth -- aren't familiar with any blacks like obama because he doesn't fall into their abnormally narrow stereotypes of us is gotdamn RACISM. call it what is.

ugh, i'm sick.

Wednesday, September 17, 2008 09:38 AM

whatever

elitist, eh? hmmm, a hair's breath from uppity. i guess with senator obama not holding a broom or a door for miz de rothschild, perhaps he doesn't know his place?

screw you, lady. and by lady, i mean bitch.
