  • Kill you television

[Read the article: I Like to Watch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I want a bumper sticker that reads "don't go Hi-Def, Kill your television", Where do I go to get this made? (My last idea was "Rudy, he's no altar boy" but he taknked anyway).

  • New Yorker cover is fine

[Read the article: The livin' is easy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    I get it.

    Really folks...

  • Can we all just get along...

[Read the article: Happy days are here again!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Either Hillary or Barak would make a fine President. McCain would be dreadful. The next step is clear. (By the way...Dowd is increasingly a pain in the ass.)

  • A lesser sin

    [Read the article: Get Rielle]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Oh john E. You let so many people down, but for this piece of work? You are guilty of bad taste as well.

  • He had to

[Read the article: Are we now officially a Christian nation?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

We are, alas, still officially a christian nation.

  • Rudy in drag?

    [Read the article: Palin watch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How about Ann Coulter with body fat. (But dumber)

  • It looks bad...

[Read the article: Alaska legislators sue to stop Troopergate investigation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

but entirely within character (what we know of it). This could be a big deal. I think we do care.

  • It looks bad...

[Read the article: Alaska legislators sue to stop Troopergate investigation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

but entirely within character (what we know of it). This could be a big deal. I think we do care.

  • Running out the clock

[Read the article: Rift between Bush administration and congressional GOP?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When you have nothing to say, sometimes it's better to say nothing. Decider no more.

  • Execrable

[Read the article: Limbaugh: Obama "stoking racial antagonism"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It really chaps my ass when racist hate talkers accuse their opponents of playing the race card. Its a rhetorical trick which should confuse no one. All's fair against Rush and his gaggle.

  • So it's 9-11 inside job all over again

[Read the article: Inside the vaccine-and-autism scare]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Ive heard only by word of mouth about the vaccine-autism link. So it turns out to be complete wacko crap. Amazing.

  • Why are so many of us idiots?

[Read the article: What small-town America thinks of Sarah Palin]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So willing to vote for someone with awful positions we don't agree with for some dumb-ass stylistic quirks. And no, I would NEVER have a beer with W. Remember that noise machine's talking point? These are the same people who fell for it.

  • Keep him on the ropes

[Read the article: McCain's crazy debate gambit]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

McCain has the habit of returning from the dead. Obama has to keep pounding away until election night. We can't be complacent.

  • Obama should show up...

[Read the article: Obama: "This is exactly the time" for a debate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

and debate a life-size cardboard cutout of McCain. Might present better than the real thing.

  • There's still time to reverse...

[Read the article: The debate is on]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

the "suspension" error and try to recover. But it's too late to fix the Palin decision.

  • McCain has a back up carrer plan.

[Read the article: John McCain's unprecedentedly ugly speech today]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When he loses this election, JM has a demonstrated aptitude as a conservative radio talk show host.

  • Ayers not news!

[Read the article: Palin's Ayers attack hurts both Obama and McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Does anyone recognize that the Ayers story has been around for months? Has everyone forgotten? Why would repeating it now have any effect?

  • PMDD

[Read the article: FDA: Stop the birth control lies!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

My understanding is that PMDD is an industry construct in order to expand the market for antidepressants. Has anyone else heard this?

  • Take a rational approach

[Read the article: I believe in UFOs. Am I crazy?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The best available evidence is that most (probably all) interpretations of UFO's as alien spacecraft are mistaken. People who don't know the sky very well can easily misjudge planets, bright stars, the moon, clouds, comets, meteors, human aircraft, missile tests, bird flocks etc. etc.

Another important fact about possible space travel by aliens is the enormous distances between star systems. It would simply take too long.

We should ask if alien visitation is real. The best answer at this time is no. (Possible, just extremely unlikely)

  • If the voter suppression doesn't work....

[Read the article: Polls: Obama wins again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

From McSames' talk about voter registration "fraud" subverting democracy, seems he's bracing for a defeat followed by a legal challenge.

  • Sounds like asshole syndrome

[Read the article: My brother is brilliant -- and wildly inappropriate!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Really, some people are just fucking assholes, without having a particular syndrome.

  • Peggy can be right.....

[Read the article: Noonan: Palin is new vulgarian]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

in the sense that a broken clock can be right twice a day.

  • Sarah will be a trivia question by January.

    [Read the article: Palinpalooza!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Not even Bill Kristol's pathetic crush on her will help. He's off in the wilderness too.

  • Time to leave the Church

[Read the article: S.C. priest: No communion if you voted Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    I did.

I could never stay in a church with such teachings. (And the mythology seems pretty unlikely too). Join another church, or better, none at all.

  • Dobbs is a jackass

[Read the article: Inside the mind of Lou Dobbs]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And people who watch him are morons.

    He's pure schtick.

  • I want to believe

[Read the article: Axelrod: Obama, Blagojevich didn't discuss Senate seat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Obama and the governor were not close...right?

(since the gov. refers to BHO as "motherfucker", I think Obama would sense that kind of hostility... wouldn't he?)

  • Sadly, the mouth-breathers...

[Read the article: Powell: "Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh?"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

who listen to dick-wads like Rush already consider Powell a RINO (rebublican in name only) and are unlikely to heed his advice and reset their pre-sets.

  • Holy shit!

[Read the article: Illinois attorney general moves to throw Blagojevich out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He thinks he's done nothing wrong! He's not going down without a fight! (and the praying.... my ass).

  • It's "Don't taze me Bro"

[Read the article: Lionizing the shoe thrower]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Not dude.

  • It's "Don't taze me Bro"

[Read the article: Lionizing the shoe thrower]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Not dude.

  • To May in FL

[Read the article: Jeb Bush won't run for Senate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Great comment, but just to be completely accurate....

its the "cee-ment pond" Jeb would swim in.

  • Groan....

[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It's just a comic book. And the Iranian prez is Hitler. Too much.

  • Seems like the world would be better off...

[Read the article: Bush holds final press conference]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

if W had kept drinking. At least until 2000.

  • Does anyone care...

[Read the article: Will third time be the charm at Commerce?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

who's secretary of commerce? Is it just me? It seems pretty inconsequential?

  • Time to leave the Church.

[Read the article: Saved a child's life? Bad Catholic!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

For all you Catholics who wonder why you stay in a church with absurd and outrageous teachings, this should be the tipping point. Join another, or better yet, no church.

  • "Sellout" is a strong word...

[Read the article: Michael Steele: Tick, tick, tick, tick]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

but really, it must be hard to navigate the contradictions of being a black Republican.

  • Michelle Malkin is a...

[Read the article: On the right, ACORN paranoia never dies]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    skinny little idiot.

  • Fountainhead's a piece of shit too

[Read the article: Enough about John Galt, already]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I struggled though that book in college. The I found out it had some kind of philosophical message. I just though it was a really crappy novel. Big waste of time.

  • I like "Social Democrats"

[Read the article: RNC members to Dems: Change your name to "Democrat Socialist"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That's what like-minded parties are called in Europe.

  • Just goes to show...

[Read the article: Barack Hussein Obama's un-American mustard choice]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The media wingnuts will throw anything at BHO, no matter how meaningless. (Although yellow mustard has its place, a bright taste when in the mood for that).

  • Well, on the plus side....

    [Read the article: Radio rage]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Camille does allow that some of the radio wingnuts go to far. She fails to explain listening to them in the first place. (I personally think most people who listen to them are pretty stupid and/or highly impressionable).

The guy who shot up the Tenn. Unitarian church some months back had a copy of Michael (Weiner) Savage's latest crap book in his pick-up, so it's hard to argue these guys are harmless.

Finally, the cultural commentary is not interesting, seems rambling and unconnected to the bulk of the column.

(I do like the letters though).

  • Ohhhh the lameness....

[Read the article: Tea bagging by teleconference]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Isn't a tea party something 3 your old girls (and 90 year old women) have?

Teabags and torture, those are the big ideas in the GOP today?

  • Michelle Malkin....

[Read the article: Are the new fuel standards worth the cost?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Has never said anything of value. Just a snarky attack dog for Fox. Does she really have a following?

  • I think its OK

[Read the article: Head of pro-life group gets job at HHS]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The group is not actively anti-abortion rights. She's a catholic active in charity work. Let her have the job without your belly-aching.

  • If you ignore him....

[Read the article: Rush Limbaugh's new low]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

he won't go away. But you will feel much better. (If you must know what he's saying, check Media Matters... but never, never listen to Rush's show). Works for me.
