Another Option

What about hypnosis? Has anyone who posts here had success with hypnosis? For quitting smoking, overeating, etc.?

Tell His Wife??!!

Sorry, but I have to disagree with mlacabe...you don't have to tell your spouse EVERYTHING. I don't want to know all my husband's fantasies, just like he doesn't have to know all of mine. I don't get the "bare all of your soul all of the time" school of thought...really, what's up with that?

Cary's advice was fine. Cherish the memory, and get on with your life.

Miscarriage or Abortion?

As far as I'm concerned, men have absolutely NO RIGHT or say as to what a woman wants to do with her body. LW is an asshole--if he wants to breed, he needs to get with someone who wants to breed now, as is his wish. Quit tormenting that woman. She knows what she can, or cannot, handle. All his f'ing detective work is BS...I'm SO SICK of men trying to tell women what THEY WANT, in that regard. Who cares what you want? Do YOU have to carry the child, undergo the physical demands, nurture the child, etc. etc.?

I know that men can be caring parents, do their duty, etc. That's not the point. The very fact that you wrote this letter to Cary, with all of your f'ing "deductions" regarding the "facts", proves to me that you are more concerned with having your way vs. the right way, for BOTH parents. It truly does take two to raise a child properly, and if your wife wasn't ready, then it WASN'T the right time. Quit with the "detective work". PUNK.

This issue really pisses me off. Can you tell?

Dear Godmonkey...

I am of the firm belief that if a woman wants to have a baby and the man doesn't want it, it's HER responsibility to take care of that kid, and explain her choice later to the kid. I don't feel that men should bear the financial, or emotional responsibility if they have not consented to having the baby.

That's just my belief, and basically, I can be just as SHRILL about that, and have been, to women I know who have hijacked men in this manner.

Polite & Civilized

Everyone is offering very polite and civilized ways to deal with the bully, but the bully is not polite and civilized. Cary came closer to what I would do when he offered up a "Fuck you". Frankly, sometimes bullies need a stronger incentive to quit bullying.

I think I'd take the woman off to the side and (very politely) tell her if she continued to speak in such demeaning and obviously insecure fashion, the next time I took her off to the side it would be to WHIP HER ASS. And, I'd follow through.

Now, before everyone says that intelligent adults shouldn't have to resort to violence to solve problems, let me say that generally I agree with that premise. However, sometimes violence in a mild fashion is quite appropriate, and I think this is one of those situations. I might further add that I think this particular bully is a coward, and probably would not require any further inducement to stop her mean and jealous remarks.

Will Smith's Response RE: Scientology

Uh...I am surmising that Will Smith was being HUMOURUS in his response as to why he's not converting to Scientology. We already know that he's not "moonbat stupid"...or whatever.

No Surprise

I just wonder what took her so long to declare. I'll say here what I've said on other sites...If she runs, and is supported by the "democratic establishment" (i.e., money people) they will never see ANOTHER CENT of my money.

She's unelectable. Period. Too many people HATE her, and it's throwing good money after bad. Frankly, I wasn't in love with Bill. I thought he was totally selfish by putting the American people and the Democratic party through that fiasco of impeachment. He should have resigned. Maybe we would've had a President Gore in the White House right now.

I'm a Democrat, and I am saddened by how off-track and fractured the Democratic Party has become.

We need to pick someone who can win. Who can WIN. I don't know about you folks, but I'm sick of the Republican madness, and I think a lot of other Americans, Republican and otherwise, are, too. We need a winner now, and Hillary ain't it.

Discussion and Debate

I guess these articles detailing what right-wing jerks are thinking are good for discussion, but really---any thinking, compassionate, and caring person knows that right-wingers are sub-human, so who really cares what they think? I know what they think. It doesn't advance humanity one bit, and thinking caring people already know what they think. I guess it gives us all a chance to develop opposing arguments, but...I don't know. I'm tired of all of 'em, including Dinesh. What a waste of human flesh.

What's the Problem?

I don't know why anyone bothers to read anything Debra Dickerson writes. She's just pitiful. Really.
