Retroactive Immunity
[Read the article: Jay Rockefeller channels Dick Cheney's fear-mongering to urge telecom amnesty]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We have been waiting for Senator Rockefeller to implement congressional oversight in regard to the false pre-war intelligence. Where is the complete Phase II of the Senate Select Committee on INtelligence?
When will Senator Rockefeller hold Douglas Feith and all others who created, cherry picked and disseminated false pre-war intelligence? Hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost, injured and millions have been displaced due to the mis-use of this false intelligence. Holding those responsible accountable is the very least that our Reps (Republican, Democrats and Independents) is the very least that our reps can do for those who have needleslly lost their lives in this war based on a "pack of lives"
Now Senator Rockefeller is going to roll over on "retroactive immunity" for telecom companies (both US and Israeli based communication companies) that "allegedly" wiretapped and datamined Americans and others phone calls before the invasion. Some of these telecoms (AmDocs and Comverse Insofys) have "allegedly" been infiltrated by foreign countries. This is far more serious than just US telecoms following the Bush administrations orders.
Will Senator Rockefeller and other Reps implement their congressional responsibiitires and hold all individuals and companies who have broken the law in very serious ways?
We are writing, calling and watching. The whole world is watching.

Glenn over at Jewish Telegraphic Agency there is an article in the Breaking news section on the Judge in the Aipac case approving subpoenas in the Aipa case for top Bush administration officials

Unclog the so called "progressive" blogs on the I/P issue
[Read the article: Jay Rockefeller channels Dick Cheney's fear-mongering to urge telecom amnesty]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Many of the so-called "progressive" blogs are clogged on the Israeli Palestinian conflict. When this issue does come up the "off topic" police show up. We are witnessing a present time example of how honest debate in regard to the I/P conflict is being shut down in the so called "progressive" blogsphere as it has over the last 50 years in the MSM. The topic gets shut down via attacks and claims of "anti semitism" etc. Many progressive blogs will barely touch this critical issue.(firedoglake and others) The progressive blogs have blog clogs when it comes to the I/P conflict just the I-lobby likes it.

Carter’s Efforts To Mend Ties With Community Get Cold Shoulder
Foxman: ‘I Didn’t Want To Be Used’
Nathan Guttman | Wed. Oct 31, 2007
Washington - Jimmy Carter’s newest efforts to repair relations with the Jewish community were rebuffed not once but twice last week — and at the very highest levels.
Carter’s first outreach effort came in an invitation to Jewish groups to discuss ways that the former president could help make the upcoming Middle East peace conference a success. While Carter invited most of the major Jewish organizations, the event was only attended by representatives of the Reform movement and by several smaller dovish Jewish groups.

Record breaking oil profits
[Read the article: Should Bush open up the oil spigot?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I would like to see a list of all of the multinationals and oil companies that have made bundles the last six years.
Billionaires for Bush they have never had it so good!

Mukassey and the I-Lobby one just has to ask
[Read the article: Mukasey's nomination and the sudden opposition to "waterboarding"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What hypocrites. Feinstein and Schumer played hardball with Gonzales on torture and other serious issues and then they roll over on Mukassey. One has to wonder if they are hoping that Mukassey will dismiss or undermine the upcoming espionage trial.
I have heard the JDL (Jewish Defense League) was applying pressure for the Mukassey nomination.
Will Mukassey do the I-Lobbies bidding?

Over Due Process for Journalist
[Read the article: Only America-hating traitors believe in due process for journalists]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Great article Glen. Your spotlight is needed on this very serious issue. I had no idea.
I also want to witness Journalist like Robert Novak and Judy Miller who have used their journalistic privileges to undermine National Security by outing an Undercover agent and using false intelligence to promote an illegal war....prosecuted. I want these type of journalist who are drowning in blood to be held accountable.

I like Romney
[Read the article: "A vote for Romney is a vote for Satan"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When I watched the Republican debate, Romney was by far the most impressive "real" contenders. I like a great deal of what Ron Paul and Mike Gravel had to say, but Romney stood out.
What he said made me realize why he had won in Massachusetts. I do not like his stand on Iran and Iraq ,but I agreed with him more often that I thought.
He does not seem to inflict his religious beliefs on anyone.
Romney and his wife seem to walk their religious beliefs more than talk about them. Well I wonder how much of their big dough they give away?
