  • Was that really Bush?

[Read the article: The things he said today]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I couldn't tell if that was George Bush speaking or a poorly written episode of Beavis and Butthead

  • Hypocrisy

[Read the article: Herding the flock through troubled waters]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A note the folks over at World Harvest Church in Canal Winchester, Ohio:

Claiming to be Pro-Life while supporting an administration that has the blood of hundreds of thousands on its hands is hypocrisy of the worst kind.

    Pro-Life = All-Life

    or at least it should.

  • Goes both ways

[Read the article: Election Day on Fox: Threats from terrorists and the transgendered]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Just because you wear a brassiere doesn't mean that you're a woman."

Just because you read a script doesn't mean that you're a journalist.

More news, less opinions from the talking heads please. Otherwise just put a sock in it.

  • Hey Hewitt:

[Read the article: Hewitt: Santorum's going to need lots of lawyers!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If you're reading this, you'd better start saving your own dollars...

cause I gotta feeling whole bunches of you's are gonna be doing your own lawyering up fairly soon.

    Just sayin'

  • Showing his ignorance

[Read the article: Comics fans, grow up!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Dismissing Crumb's work is to ignore an entire segment of the comix genre. Bad, bad man you are Douglas.

The author, in so doing shows his ignorance and bias and the entire piece has a decidedly negative tone to it.

Grow up? I think Mr. Wolk needs to lighten up.

  • Thank You Mr. Olbermann

[Read the article: "Even Richard Nixon knew it was time to resign"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Your's is the only newscast that I will watch with any degree of regularity, I prefer to read my news - from sources around the globe.

Needless to say, it is my opinion that tonight you spoke what a great majority of this nation's citizens, indeed this planet's citizens are thinking right now.

Having grown up in the era of Cronkite and Huntley & Brinkley I can honestly say that your's is one of the last true voices of journalism left on US television.

Thank you for your efforts sir.

  • All these comments

    [Read the article: Opus]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

and not a word about Bill's ass sticking out of the pond.

    It's a travesty I tell you.

  • Speaking of...

[Read the article: Playing hardball: The Clinton campaign vs. GQ]

Remember that story about George W. Bush's drunk driving arrest? Oh, you didn't read it? Well...

  • Two Words, One Name

  • Dogs may rule

    [Read the article: Opus]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    but cats plot.

  • The Men Leaning Against the Car Murmuring archetype

[Read the article: Why Iowa matters]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

For me, growing up in suburban Cleveland, Ohio during the Sixties it was the Grandfathers Puttering in Workshops Murmuring archetype. Sights, smells and sounds I can still recall today.

I miss my Grandfather. And his workshop.

  • Damage aleardy done?

[Read the article: The Chicago Tribune vs. Time magazine]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So, the Trib prints the Klein piece verbatim then issues a correction the next day. My question - how many Trib readers saw flawed article and how many will see the "correction". I say that the damage has already been done. The seeds of false information have already been planted.

  • Let me know when someone can ID the body cause this thing's dead

[Read the article: Kansas O'Flaherty ... Secret Agent]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    A suitable replacement?

    Crumb

  • The Missing Chapter

[Read the article: Panic in the pages]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The comics code gave us one great gift. Underground comics. The underground movement was a direct result of those self imposed restrictions and gave us the great works of artists like Crumb. I find it interesting that this is not mentioned or discussed here.

  • Can't stand Hillary?!?

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"A lot of guys just can't stand Hillary, and it's the intensity of their irritation with her that disturbs me more than their devotion to Obama."

With all due respect to Ms Traister...

How shallow do you think we are? I have nothing against Hillary. It has nothing to do with not being able to "stand her". It's her campaign style and apparent double talk that turn folks away.

Such a broad brush you paint with. Ma'am.

And I take offense to the remarks about men being "devoted" to Mr. Obama. Devoted? Mr. Obama is charismatic and has a powerful, positive message. I'm attracted to that. He's sincere. He talks to me, not down to me. THAT is what I'm devoted to. You're mistaking respect for "devotion" Ms Traister.

  • The problem facing the Democrats...

[Read the article: Obama and Clinton fizzle in Philly]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The problem facing the Democrats is that nobody in the mainstream media wants to talk about the past 14 years of Republican failure, and would rather focus on mundane sh!t like flag pins and words your pastor once spoke.

Sen. Obama has proven time and again that he is more than able to stand up for himself when attacked. The upcoming Republican onslaught will be no different. Sen. Obama will put them in their place while showing the rest of the world how a real leader takes care of business.

  • Confusing "tough" with "asinine"

[Read the article: Will Obama's debate stumble hurt him?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Those questions weren't tough, they were asinine and irrelevant to the real issues that need to be addressed. Our country is a mess and ABC wants to talk about pins and preachers?!?

    Good grief.
