  • For the love of god......

[Read the article: If Britney Spears shouldn't be naked in front of her kids, what about me?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Really??? ALL the time? Is dad naked too? Is there a dad involved? Would it be OK for dad to be naked in front of a 10-year old daughter? Should a 10-year old son and a 10-year old daughter see each other naked ALL THE TME? I'm just trying to figure out the geography of this house such that it's necessary for mom to be constantly naked in front of her tween son...methinks she doth protest too much.

Anyway, this is all way too Running with Scissors for me....Why don't we just let Britney's gift to the human race be a hard-earned lesson to moms like this one ... BUY A DAMN BATHROBE!!!

  • Grammar police court martial...

[Read the article: A bizarre, unsolicited e-mail from Gen. Petraeus' spokesman ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I was unable to read beyond the first sentence of the quoted email, in which a high ranking military officer exhibited unforgivably bad sentence structure. Was anything else of importance said?

  • Democrats defeating Democrats

[Read the article: The Democratic duel of the race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And what, pray tell, would be so bad if some of these side-show candidates backed out and got behind the frontrunner? I mean, Chris Dodd stands as much chance of becoming president as I have of visting Mars. What possible good comes of his continuing to stand up there pointing out Hilary's negative poll numbers? Why doesn't he make better use of his bully pulpit (I'd say he's got about a minute and a half left on his 15-minute clock) and say something nice about her, instead of feeding sound bites to Fox News?

  • Tomorrow's column: Nice Naked Nuns

[Read the article: My girlfriend's daughter is dressing like a stripper for Halloween!]

After Cary's responses to yesterday's naked mom and today's near-naked teenage girls, one thing is clear -- Cary likes naked women. Now, can we move on to something with a little more relevance? There's a war on and an election coming up...

  • Geez...

[Read the article: How Oprah ruined the marathon]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Lighten up Ed...

If ever there were a trend that DOESN'T deserve this kind of bemoaning and badmouthing, it's the increased popularity of marathon running. I personally coudn't complete a marathon in 5 days, much less 5 hours...but I am deeply admiring of those who run and finish, even in non-competitive time frames. To say nothing of the handicapped folks who "run" in walkers and weelchairs. Or have they ruined the sport for you too?

And, while we're at it, until you've risen above humble beginnings as a black female, earned a couple of billion dollars, and run a marathon for good measure, shut the $%&* up about Oprah too.

  • Cary's right...

[Read the article: My boss wants me to apologize to his wife]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The LW's story seems just a little too pat for me. She paints herself as absolutely perfect in her dealings with this ex-boss -- no physical contact, pulling out just when things got TOO intimate, changing her career in part to isolate herself from him, maintaining contact but only in the most professional and limited ways. And now there's this networking event at which, golly gee, they're just going to happen to be in each other's company again.

If the LW has been really been this perfect in her dealings, she certainly knows the answer to her own question. My guess is that she is still in love with this guy and is using this "dilemma" about a request for an apology as a pretext to continue the relationship. We've all been there in one context or another. Still hanging on to the drama of the winding up of a relationship because licking wounds feels better than doing what we know we're supposed to do -- end it once and for all.

Cary's advice is right on the money.

  • Brilliant!

[Read the article: America's next top spouse]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Boy, if the person one picks to be one's life mate (or in the case of -- well -- ALL of the Republican candidates, the second or third person one picks for the job) doesn't speak volumes about the candidate, I don't know what does. I can think of few other issues more relevant to my vote, save maybe the candidates' hairdos and what they pay for them.

Thanks for this absolutely hilarious piece!

My money's on Judith Giuliani as the spouse most likely to drag her husband into political oblivion once the mud slinging starts with gusto. Divorcing your wife in a news conference....you just can't make this stuff up!

  • Enough focus on the hocus-pocus....

[Read the article: On the fake campaign trail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There is a difference, seemingly lost in this article and most of the posts, between various interest groups packing a meeting with ringers who ask difficult, albeit scripted, questions of a candidate, on the one hand, and a candidate's own organization getting questioners to pitch softballs, on the other.

But, really, I'd care a whole lot more about this if we weren't at the 1,547th debate and the 4,372nd town meeting. This process is endless. Enough already with the trying to make news cycles out of molehills.

  • Options...

[Read the article: Should I take my husband's name?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What I always find amusing about feminism is that it's largely about acquiring new choices and options, and rarely about accepting responsibilities and obligations. In my mind, what feminists should have been fighting for all these years is not the OPTION to take their husband's name or not, but a prohibition on the practice of changing your name when you marry. Or how about a requirement that both partners in a marriage either keep their own names or choose a neutral third name? Instead, it's just been about women having more options (at least culturally, if not legally) than men.

  • Here we go again.....

[Read the article: My wife keeps cheating but we have two kids. Should I leave her?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

More straight people making a mockery out of marriage. Sorry, but as a gay man I just have to say -- these folks are ruining the institution and should be forced to divorce and be deprived of the right to ever marry again.

  • Good grief...

[Read the article: For Giuliani, Thanksgiving is 9/11, too]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If your life doesn't already suck enough having lost a loved one in 9/11, here's a real downer -- having breakfast with Rudy on Thanksgiving. Oh, yeah, and being used as a political photo-op in addition. What sane person, even a supporter of Guiliani, would attend such an event?
