Mr. Greenwald, you're using "which" where you should use "that." For example, "In other words, Obama's plan allows religious organizations which discriminate to receive federal funds."
"Which" is preceded by a comma and introduces a nonessential clause. "That" introduces an essential clause. There are at least two instances in the "Obama's two weeks" piece where you improperly used "which" instead of "that."
Your thinking is straight and incisive. Your "whiches" are just a little flaw in the presentation.
McCain's house, which is habitually identified as being a "cabin in Sedona, Arizona," is neither a cabin nor in Sedona.
The house is in Cottonwood, which is a small town with a Wal-Mart between Sedona and Jerome, southwest of Flagstaff. Cottonwood is about 20 miles from Sedona. And calling the house "a cabin" makes it sound like Abe Lincoln's birthplace in Kentucky. Does anybody think Cindy McCain would live in a "cabin"?
The place is a full-on, nicely appointed house with a lot of ground around it.
GK,
The PCH fatality you wrote about happened at about 10 p.m.:

Did you merge night and day for effect?
Your friend,

Dear GK,
Evidently, you can't get away with conflating night and day when there are Net sleuths who live in Santa Monica checking up on you.
This is what one wrote to me:
"Alma was killed on Tuesday evening. Unless they left the body there all night, the dude's story was a lie. The farmers' market is on Wednesday. Did he make the whole thing up after he heard about it?"
Perhaps a little timeline clarification is in order?
Your friend,
Early
TV news had it wrong, LA Times has it right.

Mr. Keillor's timeline was correct and his article was deeply touching. Every day is a treasure.
