  • We Can't Be OutFoxed!

[Read the article: Team Clinton: Obama's now the establishment candidate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Let's be real here. Rupert Murdoch, czar of Fox Network, has contributed money to the Clintons. Fox is a Republican propaganda machine and very interested in seeing that Clinton, not Obama faces the opposing candidate in the fall. I think Obama woud be an idiot to fall into this trap. Fox will give her a shoulder massage and hot tea during this debate to assist her in becoming the Democratic pick. Then they will feast on her bones with every nasty thing the Clintons have ever done. This is so transparent! So using rhetoric that suggests that Obama is afraid to face Fox is just plain silly.

  • Are you kidding me?

[Read the article: David Shuster, scapegoat?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Of course the Obamas would raise a fuss if derogatory terms were applied to their children! After all they are under 10 years old. Chelsea is a grown assed woman! She should be able to take care of herself. Besides, I find it strange that the Clintons would get upset with Shuster while readily agreeing to go on Roger Ailes network for a debate, where they have been denigrated for years. And lets not forget the campaign contributions from the owner of a network that regularly calls the them everything but children of God! So methinks thou protests too much!!

Thank you for saying so clearly what obviously needed to be said. I'm tap dancing with joy!

  • Racisim

[Read the article: Ferraro resigns from Clinton campaign]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As a Black female over 50, I can tell you that this is not racism. It is political opportunism. Gerry allowed herself to be a lightning rod for those statements in order to get the message out that Obama is just "The Black Candidate". She even goes so far as to demean herself by saying she was just the "Woman Candidate". This is shrewd, smart, insidious and Machiavelian in the worst way. They knew what they were doing and make no mistake this was no slip, nor an accident. That is the horror! The party will be destroyed by her hand if she does not get the nomination and will be destroyed by everyone else if she does. Pray for us all!

Thank you Sista! Beautifully said. I have been schooled.

  • Not Quite!

"....I frankly think she's irrelevant, most people recognize that, and she's just a crusty old lady with a right to her own "ridiculous" opinions. She's Ann Richards without the sense of humor."

    -- heyjude

While I respect your view it is not accurate. Gerry said the same thing 20 years ago regarding Jesse Jackson. Her viewpoint cannot be passed off as "old lady chic". This is who she is and this is the viewpoint the Clinton Campaign wanted expressed to the voters. They do nothing by accident.

  • Racism

[Read the article: Geraldine Ferraro still needs to apologize]

  • You've Got To Be Kidding Red Snapper!

[Read the article: On Wright, Bill Kristol's wrong again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"If a white minister had said the things that Wright had said, that 9/11 was chickens coming home to roost, that Israel is a dirty word, that the U.S. government launched the AIDS virus on the country, wouldn't we be pretty appalled or at least raise questions about a white candidate who had made that minister one of his closest advisors and confidants over the last 15 or 20 years?"

Prominent white ministers say this all the time and still get invited to the White House and endorse campaigns. Please recall Falwell, Robertson, Dobson and countless others saying that 9-11 and Katrina are the fault of unrepentent citizens and Gays. Yet they are still called upon to be spokesman for conservative society and welcome at political functions. As per John Mccain he actively sought the endorsement of these people dispite knowing what they have said in the very recent past. So please, get real! The outrage of all people who have their panties in a twist over Obama's pastor while giving the others a pass is ludicrous.

  • WOW!

[Read the article: Lee Hamilton is backing Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

One of the most respected minds in this country has chosen Obama. The question of the moment is how will the Clinton camp downplay the significance of this endorsement?

  • Rumours

[Read the article: Elizabeth Edwards: "Obama was charming"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So does this mean Joan that you will stop parroting unsubstantiated rumours? Or are we to expect more of the same?

  • Oh Well

[Read the article: "Richardson has never questioned Senator Obama's electability"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

She misunderstands questions. She misinterprets the meaning of statements. She mispeaks. She lies and still the Hillary Clinton is considered a viable canditadt to lead this country. Unbelievable!
