Interviews

If Sarah Palin is not ready to be interviewed by the mainstream media, then how can she possibly be ready to be president?

A Pig In a Poke

The McCain Campaign is doing a masterful job of keeping Sarah Palin away from any big-time probing interviews with the adult media, after her one tentative foray with Charles Gibson. Does the GOP expect the American people to buy "a pig in a poke" -- with or without lipstick?

The Keating Five Bridge

If anyone truly believes that John McCain, a political opportunist who owns seven homes and thirteen cars, who took pride in calling himself "Senator Deregulation", who was involved neck-deep in the Keating Five Savings and Loan corruption scandal, and who divorced his first wife after she'd had a crippling, disfiguring auto accident so he could marry a beautiful beer heiress fifteen years his junior, is running for president because he wants to protect the interests of Blue Collar workers -- then, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you. It's called The Bridge to Nowhere.

The Nuclear Option

It's frightening to think of impulsive, impatient, fly off the handle, quick on the trigger, shoot from the hip John McCain with his finger on the nuclear button. The only thing more scary is the thought of our nuclear arsenal under the control of a Pit-Bull in Lipstick.

More Lipstick On a Pig

As the saying goes, "You can put Lipstick on a Pig", but it's still gonna grunt and oink -- you betcha. There you go, Sarah, piggin' out all over yourself again, by golly.

Mama Obama

Hillary Clinton showed in the 1990's, in the White House, how it is possible for a First Lady to beat a strategic retreat into motherhood and baking cookies for a few months, while the Right-Wing attack dogs are snarling their loudest, and then re-emerge a few years later as a political and social leader, as a Senator from our most important state, and -- almost -- as America's president. Hillary Clinton provides a valuable precedent for Michelle Obama. Yes, Michelle will play the motherhood and clothes-model game for awhile. However, from the moment the Rabid Right began quoting out of context a few controversial lines from Michelle's graduate thesis, I knew that one day Michelle Obama would be a Senator from Illinois -- occupying her husband's old seat. Talk about a filibuster-proof Democratic majority in the Senate.

Mama Obama will one day help provide that majority.

America's Trojan Horse: The Brain Dead Megaphone

The Brain Dead Megaphone should be destroyed -- whether through the Fairness Doctrine or by any other legal means. First of all, this particular Megaphone preaches by the Brain Dead, for the Brain Dead, and to the Brain Dead. Who is getting hurt most by this insidious Megaphone: the Brain Dead listeners. When Rush Limbaugh rants to his Dittoheads (a new and improved word for Brain Dead) against unions and higher minimum wages, it is Dittoheads who are getting hurt the most since they are among America's lowest paid workers and they are voting against their own best interests by opposing higher wages. When Sean Hannity calls Obama a "Socialist" -- well, our real Socialist president is George W. Bush -- since his policies are destroying capitalism. We would not be turning to "Socialism" or government relief right now if the Right-Wing Conservative policies of de-regulation and laissez-faire capitalism had worked in the real world. When Bush first entered office, he immediately changed our income and estate tax laws to create the most massive "re-distribution of wealth" in American history -- like a reverse Robin Hood -- taking from the poor and the middle class, and giving to the rich. Talk about Class Warfare: Bush's "Conservative" policies have wrecked the Middle Class and the Consumer Class. It's up to Obama now to try to save Capitalism -- as FDR did in the 1930's. Obama is coming into office in the footsteps of the Second Hoover, and -- like FDR -- Obama's challenge is to clean up this new Hoover's mess. Earlier this week, a leader of Al Quaida called Obama a "House Negro". That was very good. It's exactly the kind of comment one might hear from Rush Limbaugh, America's favorite media racist. That comment made clear that, from now on, Al Quaida, Limbaugh, Hannity and the Brain Dead Megaphone are all in bed together. They are allies, trying to destroy the Obama administration and trying to finish off America. Frankly, Al Quaida is not nearly as dangerous to this country as the Brain Dead Megaphone. That is out Enemy Within. That is America's Trojan Horse. Over the past 8 years, the Brain Dead Megaphone has inflicted huge damage on our country. Let's not just sit still and allow them to finish us off over the next four years. It really has become a case of Us or Them.

The Clinton Restoration

Bill Clinton governed as a Centrist. What's so bad about that? Which president ever gave this country a better eight years than Bill Clinton did? Why shouldn't Progressives and Liberals welcome a Clinton Restoration -- whether it's headed by Hillary or by Barack? By the way, the word "Liberal" is back in fashion again. It's the "C" word that's became a term of shame.

Klu Klux Klan's Song of the Week

The video of "Barack, The Magic Negro" should be seen by every African-American voter in America. In 2008, the GOP received 10% of the African-American vote. This video should reduce that total in 2012 to less than 1%. This video belongs at Klu Klux Klan rallies, along with "educational" lectures by Grand Dragon Rush Limbaugh. In the category of "Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest", Chip Saltzman wins the Gold, the Silver and the Bronze.
