Spellcheck? Anyone?
[Read the article: Sex sells, but not to women?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]women are irritated by poor spelling:
M-A-N-N-E-Q-U-I-N

Woman embarrassed by incorrect spelling edit
[Read the article: Sex sells, but not to women?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]apparently "manikin" is an accepted variation of "mannequin." My apologies.

Christopher asked him to?
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: Uncomfortably numb]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]sorry if this has been posted already, but didn't Christopher ask Tony to finish him off? He said to Tony "call me a taxi"--i took that to mean, bring Death to me.

i was wrong
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: Uncomfortably numb]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]after posting and discussing with a friend, i watched the scene again [HBO OnDemand, fantastic], i was wrong. Chris clearly wasn't asking for it, he asked for help. Tony saw an opportunity and took it. Sad stuff.
-
Is anyone else finding this incredibly stressful?
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: Hide-and-seek]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]i was doubled over during the train store scene from start to finish. I was tensed until the credits rolled, waiting for violence to jump out from anywhere at any moment.
Pretty effective TV, i'd say. I don't know how i'm going to make it through the finale.

"simple insecurity?"
[Read the article: It has been 10 months and he still won't say "I love you"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]i had a dear friend who's beloved mother died very abruptly of a cerebral hemorhage. Literally there one minute and dead the next. She told me to always tell my loved ones that i loved them as often as possible, since they could be gone anytime.
i tell my family and close friends i love them every time we say goodbye. Insecure about guarantees of mortality, maybe. But it makes me feel good.
-
What are the special occasions?
[Read the article: It has been 10 months and he still won't say "I love you"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Please elaborate, Cosmic Mojo.
Birthdays? Christmas? Anniversaries?
someone who thought i was needy, manipulative, insecure, and childish drama queen for expressing a feeling that was so apparently obvious to both of us mature adults wouldn't become a close friend.
I hug people i love, too. I'm scary!

Jeff Bowles, reread
[Read the article: We had a secret online affair ... and then he killed himself]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]she had self-esteem issues in her teens and twenties. She started up with the guy when she was 30.

Bloomsbury
[Read the article: "The Sopranos" goes dark]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]funny you mention the Kennedys, i've been thinking all day about Janice saying to Uncle June:
"Bobby was killed"
"at the Ambassador?"

Come on
[Read the article: Bad news dad]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]there has to be something else on the spectrum between Child as Second Coming and Child as Pain in my Ass. I'm very disappointed this was Salon's choice for Father's Day.
-
Sorry, imperfect here
[Read the article: My boyfriend is nice, but I fantasize about wilder times]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm a little dismayed by all the people telling the LW to "Grow Up!" as though mistakes should simply stop being made by a certain age. I'm a few years older than she, absolutely a grown up, and yet i'm still bumbling down the path--i simply haven't gotten it all figured out. I'm trying to be OK with that and tell myself there's no rush, despite pressure from the world at large to Know It All By Now.
Ease up.

Holy load of projection!
[Read the article: A 19-year-old wants my husband]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]this girl "recently discovered partying" and suddenly she's on her way to STDS, multiple baby daddies, synthetic self-esteem and painful hard choices?
Is no one else thinking that this girl could be exaggerating to get the attention of someone she likes? I mean, if we're discussing BDSM with the boss at work, she could be just trying to hang with the cool kids.
LW, you already have children. Be THEIR mother. Your feelings seem very misplaced: I imagine this girl would be of little interest to you if she wasn't cruising your man.

I'm missing the part about emotional abuse
[Read the article: My Southern grandmother is dying, and I don't want to go back]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]she describes a large, close family--just that she doesn't like them. She feels like an outcast because she's different from them. They're to blame for her hating herself, which means she was misunderstood--but not necessarily abused.
-
try thinking about this when you close your eyes at night
[Read the article: I have the hots for my stepson]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]how much therapy this kid will need to sort out his blurred trust and boundary issues. How the future women in his life will respond when he tells them he had an affair with his stepmother. Any acting out of your fantasies are dooming him, ultimately.
Masturbate more, or find a safer, adult lover. Please.

oh please
[Read the article: "40 Reasons Not to Have Children"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]i have no desire whatsoever to be a parent, and i've made my choices accordingly. But yet i MUST care about the children! And the parents! Because they're all so so very important and speical and precious and without them them population will die! And if i don't, please heap your judgement on me!
And *I'm* selfish?
Pythia22 has me wishing i grew up in France.

Thanks, anonymous
[Read the article: Are men spoiled rotten?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Men are spoiled by women willing to get way too friendly with them before finding out who they are and whether they care."
This is the only thought here i found at all relevant--and timely, for me. Thank you.
