huh?

Have any of these 'Pumas" ever LIVED through a presidential election? (I AM a middle aged white woman, feminist since 11th grade.) You sound so naive and unrealistic about presidential elections in the US. Did you pay attention 4 years ago? 8? 12? It's hard to believe you really are of voting age, democrats, women, feminist, etc. with any expereince in any of those subjects. That is why I think many people think you're republican trolls, you don't appear to know anything about reproductive rights, the supreme court, elections, the candidates' positions. Also, the language is very immature, like what a rude 15 year old girl would use. "snotty Obamatons" ? Really from middleaged women with years in the trenches fighting sexism? Doubt it. Sounds more like bored school kids (oh, sigh, school is out) wanted to stir something up.

Lets move on to intellectual dialogue.

The attack of the PUMAs, or a dozen reasons why Clinton voters are still too angry to come home.

REbecca, "reasons why" is redundant sloppy grammar.

There can be a dozens reasons Clinton voters are still angrey, or

we can discuss why Clinton voters are still angry.

But reasons why? bad form

Thursday, June 26, 2008 09:26 AM

bad bad acting

"I'm a African American, and I do not trust Barack Hussein Obama, as far as I can throw him."

your whole letter rings of a young white College Republican laughing as he sees himself throwing the election by posing in chats.

another word for puma is drama queen

angry or self-centered?

My observation is that Senator Clinton, for reasons I do not understand, is a very divisive figure. She is loved and adored by at least the 18 million who voted for her, but she is also hated with white-hot hate by members of both parties.

And then there's most of us: we don't hate her, we don't love her, we just prefer Obama over her. And that's one of many problems with these so called pumas, they think if we don't love Hillary, we hate her. No. We just preferred a differenct Democrat.

Happens every 4 years, lots of good democrats diagree over who should be the nominee. Nothing new here folks, move along. That's why I know this puma movement is rightwing plants and idiots. No real feminist or democrat would prefer McCain over Obama. Period. no real actively involved citizen would not get that process of moving from primary season to the general election and see in a greater context.

There has never been a call by "leaders" within the political party or the press to have a candidate step down even when the election was not as close as this.

sure there have, plenty of times.

Do some reading, your lack of knowledge, history, and perspective is showing.

This is now I KNOW Lindalc is a rightwing plant:

"the trashing of the only successful two term democrat president"

Only a republican would say "democrat president".

All Democrats rightly word it: "Democratic president."

and guess she never heard of FDR

Thursday, June 26, 2008 01:14 PM

a little past knowledge

It was the Clintons, both Bill and Hillary, who were instrumental in buidling the DLC, so how can Clinton supporters criticize Obama for being more conservative! Do your research people! It was Bill and Hillary who ushered in the Age of The New Moderate Democrat.

Hambone, you keep proving my point that there is loads of lightweight judgment going on regarding the support of Obama when you write the dribble you write.

That's DRIVEL.

Get a dictoionary if you want to try to debate with the big boys.

(*) = Obama was born in late 1961. Even though the demographic bulge known as the Baby Boom went from approximately 1946 to 1964, most sociologists and pollsters, Boom generation started and ended a few years before those dates

I agree. I was born in 1961 and DO NOT identify with the boomer generation. I don't feel like I fit in with the Gen Xers either, I truely think there's a few years (1960-1964?) of folks who fall between the cracks, don't identify with either the boomers or Genxers. Someone who could coin a phrase to represent us could get a few articles out of it.

Original article: Is Ralph Nader losing it?

nader

already threw one election.

someone stop him before he does it again

Thursday, July 3, 2008 07:54 AM

The article quotes Jane Hamsher, Markos Moulitsas and MYSELF (emphasis added)

you did go to college, right? Why can't a national journalist grasp basic grammar?

Thursday, July 3, 2008 01:05 PM

sorry but

when you pose for the National Enquirer, you lose the right to ask for respect.

And, if I am lucky enough to be granted this new documentation, it will never be completely separated from an old identity that does not reflect me, so that my body and medical history can be speculated on by all

all of us feel our body does not reflect us, who we really are. All of use don't want people prying, making judgements. We don't get special treatment or demand people ignore facts and follow our feelings rather than facts.

Thursday, July 3, 2008 01:16 PM

there is only a confused and unsettled woman who proclaims that surgery, hormones and clothing made her a man, and is clinging to that fiction even as the baby growing in her womb announces her womanhood to the world

I have to agree. If someone told us he'd only feel 'right' if he cut off his arm, we'd say he's mentally ill and get him therapy to fix that. We would NOT cut off his arm.

I think we need to live the hand we were dealth with our bodies and define ourselve by our acts rather than by our dissatifaction with our bodies.

A simple trip to Wikipedia would clear up many of their prejudiced misconceptions about trans people, but they are apparently too intellectually lazy to bother.

no, you're stupid for using Wiki and intellectual in the same sentence

Thursday, July 3, 2008 01:28 PM

You know that guy that got whisker implants, a fur graft, runs around on all fours, and thinks he's a tiger in a human's body?

yes. I am very liberal, but I have to use consistent logical protocals for this sort of thing.

Thursday, July 3, 2008 01:31 PM

just because someone somewhere in this world was born female but has a male mind and personality

That's one thing that really bothers me, this traditional belief that there's only one way a male mind can be and only one way a female mind can be. And if you have a "male" mind (like's cars?) you must be a male trapped in a female body.

Why not expand what a male and female mind is, or rather STOP defning it. And let each person's mind be thier mind, without having to categorize is as exclusivly male or female.

then people who are differnt don't have to cut off body parts to feel right. YOu're right just as you're born.

If you checked out my mind, parts of it would be labeled 'male' by your rigid definitiosn.

sometimes it IS as simple as

dude, she's just not that into you

Wednesday, July 9, 2008 01:30 PM

enough about you

you make me think of a lot of superficial drama queens who's constant complaining is really a way of saying "look at me!"

So you're thinner than most aging women and they make envious comments.

what's your problem again?

sounds like the ole poor little rich girl cry "I'm so rich and pretty, everyone is envious of me, poor poor me!!!"

Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful! what torment!

give it a rest honey. we get it. You're thinner than us.

Thursday, July 10, 2008 06:44 AM

"maybe even asking them about how they manage to look so round"

MEOW!

Friday, July 11, 2008 09:47 AM

LIfe is pretty good if they only comment people make about your appearance is that you're thin. OUCH--zing! Jeepers, sounds like your skin is pretty thin too.

No, her skin isn't thin. She LOVES getting the comments and she LOVES ranting about them because that's another way of saying "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME"

iT'S all about princess and ways to get people's attention. Remember WHY Drama Queens are Drama Queens: FOR THE ATTENTION.

Friday, July 11, 2008 12:14 PM

IT'S NOT ABOUT WHO'S THIN OR FAT.

IT'S ALL ABOUT ATTENTION ADDICTS WHO NEED EVERYTHING TO BE ABOUT THEM. IT'S ABOUT KNOWING THAT RAVING GETS ATTENTION AND MORE ATTENTION.

So everyone else stop fighting about being fat or thin. She even feeds off knowing she started so many emotional disagreemetns here.
