what kind of crazy places do y'all live?

"no overnight parking on any city streets"

what? That's crazy. You need to lobby your council rep and get that changed and send your reps back to planning school. You're creating your own nightmare with such a counterproductive regulation.

what kind of crazy places do y'all live? redux

oh yeah, 2 parking spaces per dwelling unit is standard, every locality uses that ratio, it's not even 'discriminatory'.

I was asking about the "no parking on the streets overnight" thing. THAT is crazy. sure, no parking on limited access highways, service roads, etc. But local streets that serve residential neighborhoods? Crazy, I say. Crazy.

re: I would be pretty damn annoyed if I had to park several blocks away and walk home late at night in the rain when my neighbor had an unused parking space 10 yards from the front door of the building.

if you had a baby would be be angry that neighbor has a spare bedroom you need, and expect her to let you break through the wall?

Original article: Hillary at twilight

her mask is slipping

the worst was this week when HIllary was asked for her Tax returns (like all the other candidates released) and she snarked "I'm a little busy right now." Oh, scuse me. The other presidential candidates aren't busy? Just call your aide and have her call your accountant and it's done in 30 seconds. What she showed was her horrible personality and her fear. I know I"m not running for president, but that condescending tone was a huge turn off. bu bye Hillary

she absolutely can't get a fair hearing, simply because she is a Clinton (well, by marriage)?

that's not why entirely. That may be some of it, but she sealed her own fate when she made the snide suprior "well I wasn't sitting at home making cookies" comments. SHE did that, not her husband. She showed her true mean mean mean self then. and People remember, they won't forget. THAT is who HIllary is and we don't need that holding a hand over the red button.

take charge of your own life!

Everything in your letter is someone else's fault and now you want someone else to make a major decision for you. Take charge of your own life. Really, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you choose school #63 or school #90, your persuits will be what YOU make of them. Accept responsibility for YOUR life and go forward. You're using the choice between two schools as a red herring for your desire to AVOID making decisions about your own life. This isn't about school #63 and school #90. It's about you stepping up to the plate and taking deliberate proactive action towards your OWN life. Just do it.

"Maybe in time you will come to appreciate this neighbor's brazenness and gall"

huh? Why would we admire her trespassing and sondescending disrespect?

Thursday, March 27, 2008 05:53 AM

I'm a huge tree hugger, but

destruction of property is destruction of property. Risking people's lives is risking people's lives. Trespassing is Trespassing. It doesn't matter if you're a sweet pretty woman with a baby or a scary dark skinned terrorist, the actions are voilent, controlling, antidemocratic and ILLEGAL. Be sure that terrorist feels just as rightous as the eco lady.

Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong. And burning down someone else's property, trespassing, controlling other's freedom, risking firefighters' lifes is WRONG, wrong, wrong. Anyone who does that, regardless of their claim of rightousness, should be punished as severelay as a terrorist who does the same thing.

"There's a question of whether burning property is really the equivalent of flying a plane into a building and killing humans."

Yes, because both are a deliberate attempt to control MY American rights. Both are attempts to eliminate my democratic freedom and control me, force me to follow their rigid beliefs. Equally terroristic and AntiAmerican.

Can you not see that a person may take action upon the dictates of conscience, and that conscience may not always dovetail with the law

be that as it may, but when that act is an effort to rob me of my American rights (rather than give more people equal rights like the civil disobedience of the Civil Rights movement) and force me to follow her beliefs, it's UNDEMOCRATIC, illegal and punishable.

Don't try to paint this as an honorable act of civil disobedience. IT was an effort to intimidate me from exercising my Constitutional rights. And that is dispicable, regardles of it it "dovetails with the law."

"sondescending disrespect?"

oh, yeah, I meant to say Condescending disrespect

The bank receipt alone, showing that Waters was 60 miles away from Seattle just 45 minutes before the explosion

It wasn't 45 minutes before the explosion, it was 45 minutes before the speculated meeting time. The explosion came later.

ANYONE can draw money from an ATM if they know the PIN, like Brianna's "partner." IF she was really at the ATM, there would be a tape of her: all bank ATMs have tapes now. Since her lawyers didn't produce that tape of her going to the ATM, I'd say she didn't, her baby daddy did it to provide an insufficient alibi.

How is blowing up a building that engages in acts against nature robbing you of your "american rights"?

I have the right to study genetics as long as it isn't prohibited by law. I have the right to move freely on campus without being blown up for having different views.

You know the old saying: "your right to protest ends at my nose." It means you may protest all you want and I'll support your right to protest, but when your acts start to limit my own rights, you're breaking the law and limiting my rights, not simply protesting. You're using violence to rob me of my rights: that is terrorism. And as a very liberal socialistic pinko, I"ll stop you. We all have rights and I support the preservation of everyone's right to have their OWN views, Not the use of violence to force everyone to follow one view.

You know a sick boy killed 32 students and professors at Virginia Tech almost a year ago and it's agreed he was a sick killer. This beautiful blonde risks people live by buring down a campus killer and she's made into a Pop Hero. Bull. She's a sicko who uses violence to make people obey her, just like the TEch killer.
