Feel sorry for her?

ha ha ha ha ha - it is to laugh.

Honestly? I thought I was a bigger person, but I delight in each fresh trauma folks like Harris and Limbaugh-the-Viagra-user, etc. suffer. Still waiting for something big to bring down Hannity and Coulter, to name a couple who have so far remained unscathed. Suffer, you fools, suffer. Payback's a bitch.

Yeah, what Nita said

R.I.P. Ann. She was a really great woman.

Do like me...

Hope for the best, but expect absolutely nothing to change in November. I've been -- like everyone else I know -- too disappointed and disillusioned before to count on anything, no matter how things seem to be shaping up. Republicans are too ruthless and crooked and the Dems are too spineless to expect anything for sure. But here's to hoping.

Oh. My. God.

Is this for real? Is he for real?

I'm dying over here!

Wednesday, November 29, 2006 08:24 AM

I'm actually disappointed...

...As Frist is so utterly charisma-free (as well as ethics-free) that it was going to be very entertaining seeing his delusions of White House residency quickly deflated. Would anyone seriously have been enthusiastic about a Frist campaign?

The president's crocodile tears

Let's call 'em what they are.

Original article: Bush roars into the 20s

MSM = Shame

"You've got to hand it to the mainstream press for getting Bush this far. Their meekness and docility buoyed a flagging presidency early in the game: he couldn't have done it without them. A shame the mainstream press can't be voted out of office -- then again, their ever-dropping circulation rates sounds like people are voting against them, after all. Do better, mass media, or we'll put you all out of business."

I couldn't have said it better myself, Capitalist Prig. Bravo!

A man who deserves respect

Despite his occasional gaffes, Kerry is a fine statesman and he definitely has gotten a raw deal from the press in general these past several years. He deserve props for his decency and for his fine service to his country. He would have made a good president, but alas, didn't play certain crucial aspects of the game well enough. Hats off to you, Mr. Kerry.

What a tool

Doesn't look any better or more authentic than McCain did on his visit a while back. Does anyone take this man seriously anymore?

"Did Gonzales lie to Congress?"

Like, Duh!

I think he should go into rehab first

and THEN he can "spend more time with his family." Cover himself real good that way.

What a shocker

I can't remember ever feeling so completely down about the state of the Democratic party. It's like they're TRYING to disillusion everyone, including themselves. I don't blame folks like the person who posted above who are throwing in the towel. I'm nearing that state of mind myself.

Enough Already

That man has milked the 9/11 teat dry. Give it a rest, for gosh sake. Run on your record. Oh. Wait a minute...

I just ponied up

And It was a pleasure to do so. I'm really, truly grateful for all you do, Glen. Keep going, like, forever.

Funny

There's that sick part of me that is enjoying more the thought of all those right-wing nut jobs going off the deep end over this news than the fact that Gore actually won the prize and deserves it. Hannity, Limbaugh, et. al. ought to be squawking about it for weeks. Which is actually not enjoyable to contemplate, come to think of it...

This just gets more and more bizarre

I mean, c'mon, didn't you all think this story would just sort of slink away after a bit, ala the Foley scandal, etcetera, etcetera? Most people cave under all that scrutiny, all that humiliation. But not Craig, nope, we just keep seeing his name in the headlines and keep hearing his goofy rationalizations over and over, culminating in that ridiculous interview with Matt Lauer the other week. The man is just truly, unclassifiably shameless. But he's got chutzpah, I'll give him that.

Original article: It's not just Giuliani

The well is dry

Does anyone beyond the Beltway seriously give the "It was all 9/11's fault" any credence anymore? Does anyone in the GOP realize it is time to move on from that topic, that the shelf date has long since expired on it? Just wondering.

"The Democratic Party is an absolute joke."

And no one is laughing.

Relax - it's all in fun

To all of you complainers, Salon can publish fluffy-type things like this too. Geez, do you really need to have every. single. last. article be hard-hitting/deep-think/political pieces? You all must be such a treat at parties.

Straight guys: also relax, okay? It's no big deal to admit you find another guy attractive/hot/sexy. And you don't have to keep apologizing and telling us you're straight either. Your choices usually telegraph that anyway.

Finally: yes, Jon Stewart should be on the list. And Peter Sarsgaard and Tony Leung are indeed very sexy.

Tuesday, November 27, 2007 07:27 AM

Let's move on

Seriously? You're bitching about Clinton saying she'll absolutely be the Dems nominee? ALL presidential candidates say stuff like that. They kind of have to (to show supreme their confidence in their abilities and electability, etc.). Even good ol' Dennis Kuchinich has been heard to to say, "When I am president..." - and we all know there's no way in hell that's going to come to fruition. He knows it too (at least I hope he does). But he has to project that confidence, that image. Hilary at least has a very, very good shot at the nomination and everyone knows it.

Fox Bunny Funny by Andy Hartzell

Is brilliant and should have made this list. I loved it. It was published by Top Shelf.

Original article: Quote of the Day

I will be very glad when January 2009 is here

Then I can stop reading paranoid sentences such as these:

"Iowa is of no concern to him because he has no plans to leave office." !!!

Do you people really believe Bush would actually be able to function in office at all in such a scenario? I know they've gotten away with murder for the past 7 years, but c'mon - find a new fantasy conpiracy theory or something to get yourself all upset about. This one has gotten really old hat.

Rudy

He used to scare me, especially when he was looking like the GOP front runner for '08 several months ago. Now I just feel a kind of bemused contempt for him. Of course, that could revert back to fear should he somehow, someway manage to nab the nomination.
