What have we accomplished.

I sometimes wonder if at this point if real change for the better is even possible, I for a while now have feared that we on the Left are fighting a loosing battle, hell maybe even fighting a battle long lost.

What the hell is wrong with Satan

I hate to bring this up again but this bothers the hell out of me, have you Satan (Im talking directly to you for this brief moment) Have you even even been to the City of New York? You do know that there are at the very least 8 million people living there, most likely that number is higher with another million or so illegal immigrants trying to scrape out a living, millions of visitors on any given day in my city. There are more people in any given Borough in this city than in most states for Gods sake. I hope you choke on something. Im done talking to you now.

I saw Colbert interview Frank the other night on his show and I thought it was really good. Hell the Colbert Report and the Daily Show are the only names in news I trust anymore. Does anyone think thats kind of sad thats this is the shape of our media?

Really? Not again

God this country just doesn't fucking learn its lesson does it, I don't want to believe that were doing this all over again and expecting it NOT to blow up in our faces (or into our tall buildings) again.

Question?

Since every one says Obama isn't ready, qualified, has enough experience, et al I just have one simple question that I hope someone can help me with. What qualifies someone to be president? In my mind only someone who has been president of a country before can have experience as president since it doesn't matter if you have been a Senator for 6 years or 60 years you still haven't been president and there by can't know what it is like to be president. So also how does one become qualified in being president?

Also just as an aside, it is the Congress (both the Senate and The House I mean by Congress) are the ones that are suppose to make things like foreign policy, when did everyone in this country start seeing the president as a "King" figure who has to make all the decisions. Or am I reading the Constitution wrong in seeing that Senate and House are suppose to make the laws, and the President is suppose to enforce those laws, not the President makes and enforces the laws that he likes?

Pencil necked geeks?

Yup that right there is why this country is screwed anti-intellectual morons. You go all have fun being stupid, the rest of us should go over here and enjoy the fruits of these "pencil-necked geeks" like the light bulb, the computer, oh and modern medicine yeah I think I enjoy that one the most.

So the rest of you idiots can go have fun with out all of the advancements of the modern world, and continue living out your roles that you played in High School. Have fun with the scurvy.

Why do

people keep hitting on the Obama telling people to inflate their tires to the right pressure. Jesus did anyone even watch that speech that was one of several things that he mentioned. Stop obscuring the facts and move on.

correction

people keep hitting on the *fact that* Obama *told* people to inflate their tires to the right pressure. Jesus did anyone even watch that speech that was one of several things that he mentioned. Stop obscuring the facts and move on.

Correction for grammar, sorry I caught it too late.

FDR was no saint!

Stop it! Stop it right now, I refuse to see FDR canonized by the Democrats the way Regan has been by the Republicans because well "down that way madness lies". FDR was a human being with all of its faults, we got the New Deal not because he was a The Giver, no we got the New Deal because he knew if we didn't there would have been a revolution, many may scoff at that idea but its true. Remember it was Eleanor who defended blacks to FDR, ok. So stop it, FDR was a good, maybe even a great man, but he was still a MAN lets not forget that, its something we have to remember about all of our 'hero's" that they were flawed human beings, except Regan who was the devil incarnate.

Also what ever happened to the idea of an "Injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere"? Remember freedom, equality? This nation was born with those words while keeping fellow human beings in bondage, I refuse to be part of any movement that would seek to return to this hypocrisy be denying the rights of anyone. And yes these things need to be a Federal law, not because its my pet project, but with out it those rights would be taken away, remember we needed two Civil Rights Laws to finally allow blacks to vote, the one passed during Reconstruction which was dismantled by Ol' Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Bill of 1964, so yes these things need to be an enforced Federal law.
