Original article: Bill Ayers talks back

Juan Enrique

1) I don't listen to Farrakhan or care what he has to say.

2) "And the episode about the nails bomb is very relevant to whom Ayers is: a terrorist and a wanna be murderer." - Are you suggesting that Ayers is still up to these things? Once again, nobody is denying his involvement.

3) "Now Shapiro did not ask him about that because Shapiro wanted to present mellow and nostalgic Ayers who has become a “distinguished professor” and a friend of The Messiah." - Are you saying that this is not what Ayers has become. One more time; the interview was about today, not 35/40 years ago. The 60's are OVER.

4) "My point is that people tend to associate with, be friends with other people that are likewise minded." - So, by your logic, McCain is a terrorist (Contras, G. Gordon Liddy) or a crook (Keating 5) and Palin is a secessionist (pals around with/sleeps in same bed with one). So, what's your point? Guilt-by-association is a slippery slope.

5) "Obama had too many “associations” that are questionable." - Apparently not. Did you catch the election results?

One more time, you lost.

Happier than ever that I voted for Obama

With the Republican stupidity on display throughout this thread, I am happier than ever that I voted for Obama.

Juan, Lotus, et al, you don't realize it, but you're not doing your cause any favors. One misinformed self-righteous post after another isn't going to win you any followers here. You're wasting your time.

Hey, Republicans - YOU LOST! YOU LOST! YOU LOST!

I'm tired of being nice...

Little Juan,

"If the so called Messiah proves to be what many are afraid he is you will find yourself in a place you would not want to be." - How the fuck would you know? Maybe I'd be elated.

"And this is precisely where the liberal media and articles like this have failed miserably: we do not know who the real Obama is." - You know what, Juan, we don't know the real John McCain either. We don't know the real Sarah Palin. We don't know the real George Bush. We don't know the real Juan Enrique. You're upset that the media didn't report something that you wished was true, truth be damned. Newsflash, dipshit, the media's job isn't to play to your paranoia. YOu have FOX News for that. You will never know everything about anybody.

"Could you tell me what you know about him, his accomplishments, his shortcomings, his graduation thesis, what hospital he was born in, whether he was an Indonesian citizen, whether he had a foreign passport, what he did in Pakistan, etc., etc.?" - Sure. Just as soon as you tell me every single thing every Republican, living or dead, has ever done from the cradle to the grave. - See, you don't know them either, do you?

I must give you credit, Juan,

You have got to be one of the most thick-headed wingnuts to come along here in a while. I guess that's something to be proud of...

"Were you ever nice?" - No. Not to you.

"That is another liberal delusion." - How do you know I'm a liberal?

"I made my point about the article that is a disgrace." - Believe me, you should have stopped there.

"A personal argument with you will get us nowhere." - Then go away, please.

"After all for there to be somebody called The Messiah there must be believers; obviously you are one of them." - This is the sort of stupid shit that disqualifies everything else you say.

One last question for you, because you're getting to be quite a bore:

Since we don't know who you are, can you prove to us that you are not a terrorist? I don't care if you have no record of criminal or terrorist activity - that doesn't prove that you will not ever in the future commit a terrorist act. What proof do you have that you will never become a terrorist? Since you cannot prove that you will never commit a terrorist act, is it then safe to assume that you are a terrorist - you know, to allow us to take necessary pre-emptive measures?

Cheers.

Juan,

I'm very interested in what thinking people have to say, hence my boredom with you.

Like a typical conservative, you dodged my question: Can you prove that you are not or will never become a terrorist?

Looks like we've come full-circle...

"If you go to the voting booth with the choice of a Democrat and someone who's acting like a Democrat but claiming to be a Republican, you'd go with the Democrat," quoth a Republican.

Funny thing: When Bush was selected, the pundit class was all a-twitter with statements like, "If you go to the voting booth with the choice of a Republican and someone who's acting like a Republican but claiming to be a Democrat, you'd go with the Republican."

@ timothyhulsey

What, exactly, makes you think Obama's presedency will be a disaster? Can you be specific? You are aware that Obama is not the President yet, aren't you?

Obama has always been anti-stupid-war, not strictly anti-war.

Anybody who actually paid attention over the last few years knows that Obama never said that he was aginst any and all war for the sake of being "anti-war." The only people who believe that he was always anti-war just for the sake of being so are the far right wingnuts who want to believe that he is a weak-kneed peacenik and maybe a few ultra-lefties who habitually project thier visions of world peas onto their candidates of choice.

Obama has always said that Iraq was a mistake and that he was aginst what he called "stupid war." He has also always said that Afghanistan has been neglected by the Bushies. That he has talked about reducing our presence in Iraq and beefing up our presence elswhere in the ME (like where the people who attacked us live) should surprise nobody.
