If by successful, you mean that Palin didn't run screaming from the stage with shit streaming down her legs, then yes, Palin was a smashing success. Perhaps this really speaks to the core of how intellectually hollow Republicanism/conservatism has really become. The dumb cunt proudly and smugly announced that she simply might not feel like giving answers to the questions put to her. The woman has no answers. Can you imagine going to a job interview and telling the prospective employer, "Oh, you can ask me whatever you want, I just might not give you the answer you're looking for." I'm betting you don't get the job. Such is modern conservatism.

I would also argue that there has been no end to Palin's troublesome moments for the campaign. Witness the recent accusations among McCain's staff that Palin is "going rogue" with her own agenda, not to mention her stellar performances in super-softball interviews with really mean journalists like Katie Couric.

Of course, Palin probably thinks Jeebus is due to return any day now, so none of this is really that important anyway.

After debate #3, I flipped over to FOX just to see what they were saying. It was great fun to watch their post-debate round-table acknowledge that McCain delivered his best debate performance, but that it wasn't enough to match the cool and calm of Obama.

Now, what would really be fun is if FOX simply reported made-up results that showed McCain narrowly winning. Enough people would by FOX's reporting, completely convinced that the Liberal Media cooked the results, that you would have some serious rioting in the streets.

Obama's supporters have invested in his candidacy by supporting it with their own money. Hence, the American people who support Obama bought the infomercial.

By contrast, McCain took public financing, which is really socialism! Why? Because he knew that otherwise, he wouldn't be able to COMPETE. (To this extent, the American peopl have also been buying McCain's advertising, whether as individuals they support him or not.)

If McCain had chosen to, he could have used his public money differently and produced and infomercial himself. Fortunately for him, he has FOX News to do that for him.
