Keep Laughing,

"You little liberals are so cute."

So, those who defend the Constitution are liberal? If that's the case, then I'm proud to call myself liberal. Oh, and I'm gigantic.

"To assume conservatives are all bible thumping, gun-toating (sic) uneducated war mongers is narrow minded but then again, I expect nothing less from the left. A study at Georgetown University? Spare me the studies from your pothead anarchists who read a few marxist books, burn flags, spread lies about global warming, protest everything government and dream of a utopian world."

Comedy gold! Unfortunately, the assumption that conservatives are bible-thumping, gun-toting (correct spelling), and war mongers is a fairly safe assumption.

BTW, how do you know that I'm a leftist? Is it because I think that the Constitution of the United States is important? Or did you just assume?

"You may quote all of your left-wing sources to prove your twisted views but you still cannot provide one objective source to verify your claims."

Oddly, you haven't cited one single source upon which you base your charges.

"If you hate it hear so much then move to Russia, China, North Korea or Cuba where you can come out of the closet and live like the true communists you yearn to be."

Funny thing: The commie countries that you list were/are countries that detain people on frivolous charges and torture or execute people at will. You seem to be a big fan of such practices. Perhaps you should think about relocating to one of those countries, since you apparently share their values.

When did I ever say I hated it here? Please find the quote and feel free to use these complimentary quotation marks (""). I really just hate assholes like you who want to turn Amreica into a nation, like those you listed, where the government operates in secrecy and individuals' rights (AKA freedom) are shit on.

Again, you're out of your legue here. Did you check out Don Surber's site. I think you'll love it. Really, discussions about important issues are not your strong suit. Please, just vote Republican and move along...

Little boy,

"You're a defender of the Constituion are you?"

Yes. What the fuck are you?

"What about those 2nd amendment rights you liberals hate so much." (?)

Frankly, I think that should be up to local governments to sort out. The gun that is arguably a necessity in rural South Dakota is a arguably major problem on the south side of Chicago. I don't expect someone with limited faculties to understand this. Clearly, conservatives favor defending gangs' and terrorists' rights to purchase any weapon they can pay for.

"You cry about the 1st and 4th, but where is the consistency in your defense." (?)

Where is the consistency in yours? (Question mark indicates an interrogative statement.) You cry about the 2nd Amendment, but you hate the 1st and the 4th.

"Truth is, you want guns banned and this country completely disarmed."

Talk about making an assumption. Truth is, I want to do whatever is necessary to deter the wrong people from acquiring guns. The Right has always fought common-sense measures like background checks. Please explain why you think criminals and terrorists should be able to purchase guns freely. I'd love to hear your explanation.

"How ironic."

Ironic? Please refrain from using words you don't understand.

Oh Come On,

Real Americans don't earn money. They inherit it. It isn't Phil's fault that the average citizen didn't pick wealthy parents.

One last note...

This will be my final response to you. Feel free to follow up with multiple posts assailing my character.

"You cannot be a defender of the liberties of your choosing, there sparky. You either support them all or you don't."

Apparently, one can pick and choose. FISA vote, anyone???

"You don't want the government to control your free speech or your privacy, but you do want them to control your rights to bare arms or practice religion."

This is so stupid I don't even know where to begin. 1) Did you mean "bear" arms? 2) Who said anything about controlling religion? I'll offer you those quotation marks again so you can point out where I specifically said government should control religion. ("") You're welcome.

"If we leave it up to local governments..."

Isn't that a core value of the conservative movement?

"I recognize it is on the strong to defend the weak, which is I why I defend the Constitution every day of my life for my country and, believe it or not, people like you."

Actually, it is often the gullible who defend the powerful. It has been fun watching people line up to serve the Bush Administration, which is composed of people like Dick Cheney who "had other things to do" than serve while the average joe shipped off to VietNam. Bush, of course, bravely defended the skies over Texas from the VietCong threat. His unit was dubbed the "Champagne Club" because it was where rich boys went to honorably avoid endangering themselves in a war that they promoted.

"I am all for background checks and I question the motives of anyone, including the NRA, that suggests they are unnecessary and/or violates the 2nd amendment."

Good for you. That's the smartest thing you've said so far.

@ cabdriver

You get an A for effort. Unfortunately, little boy bucks probably won't understand your arguments. He thinks that if he calls everyone leftist radicals often enough it will follow that his points, such as they are, will be vindicated.

Did I read that correctly?

If prices are trending up, why would that be an incentive for the power companies to increase capacity that would ultimately cause prices to level off? I'd be inclined to think that they would leave things as they are and rake in the dough.

Never mind...

...that the Iraq war itself was created for political gain. W couldn't have had the political capital of a war-time president without a war.
