  • Hillary is Not Vetted and Not Presidential

[Read the article: She won't go easy]

Camille is correct. That "Iron my shirt" skit in NH was obviously staged. The teardrop in New Hampshire now looks staged as well.

Can we add up these events? Her "working whites" comment in West Virginia was a pander to her 95% white audience. Her re-telling of the sniper fire incident in Bosnia that never happened was another lie. Her "I am fully vetted" comment flies in the face of the May 2008 NY Times editorial titled 'Missing Records' asking the Clintons and McCain to come clean. Her pander to voters on an 18 cent summer gas tax placed her in McCain's neighborhood again. Her vote in favor of the Iraq War Authorization without even reading the 2002 NIE puts her again in McCain's class. Odd but both the Clintons and the McCains are very rich and not forthcoming with their financial information.

Barack Obama bests both Hillary Clinton and John McCain on not pandering, truthfulness, financial disclosure and Iraq War foresight. Barack is 14 years younger than Hillary and 25 years younger than McCain.

I say this to emphasize that the ability to inspire is still alive in Barack Obama.

  • FDR Acted For These Folks and Obama Can as Well

[Read the article: Why don't those hillbillies like Obama?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There are two policy areas where Obama is much better than McCain. One is the export of manufacturing jobs and the other is energy policy, spelled 'lower gas prices' .

There are good reasons to give tax breaks to companies that keep manufacturing plants here in America. Millions of those $12-$15 per hour jobs are being shipped overseas. Barack Obama and most Democrats support this policy. Most Republicans do not.

On energy policy Barack Obama is black and white (parents) and green all over. He wants to develope solar and wind power in big ways. He wants much more fuel-efficient cars than most Republicans. He is well aware that global warming is a real threat to this planet. McCain is just waking up to this fact and the Republican party is snoring.

There is one sleeper issue in this election. It is silver spoon versus wooden spoon.

Obama grew up with a measure of poverty when compared to the privileged McCain. When a child of poverty gets his chance at the American dream as Obama did, he applies himself. Obama was elected by his peers to President of the Harvard Law Review. When McCain was appointed to the United States Naval Academy through the influence of four star Admiral father, he graduated 894th out of 898 midshipmen.

We are told that people can change. But McCain is still 'weak' in economics. He could be informed on economics if he cared about the economy's impact on others.

FDR reached out to these mountain people with programs that directly affected them. Barack Obama is cut from this same cloth of caring and of doing for others.

  • Many McCain Republicans Have Been Voting Hillary Since February

[Read the article: A split Democratic decision]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Republicans follow orders well. They are urged to do this on the radio and indirectly on Fox News. We understand why the Republicans want to damage our candidate and make us spend our time and money on the nomination process.

What I hope to understand is why Hillary Clinton wants our candidate damaged as well.

Yes, those lines could very well come from the "noise machine" we know so well.

Also, I used your link to Egan's "White on White" article in today's NY Times. It is a good one. Thanks!

  • Shawn, a GOP Troll, Calls Others by That Name

I picked this joker out of the lineup a long time ago. See his name, stop reading.

  • Republican Orders: Elect Hillary

[Read the article: She's in it to spin it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Since February when McCain locked up the Republican nomination, orders to Republicans have gone out by radio and TV. The orders are simple: Vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Make the Democrats spend their money, their time, their best ideas on this endless nomination. Encourage Hillary with votes and she will SAY ANYTHING about Obama to get herself nominated.

Keep the Democratic house divided. Place calls to local Democratic Committees asking that Hillary be treated with generosity and care.

I clear calls for our local Democratic Committee and know this is true. The calls come from out of state and a word or two indicate to me that these folks are Republicans.

Now that the Clintons are very rich, they are in a position to financially help other Democrats running for office. Just as Bill Clinton pardoned the escaped defendant, Marc Rich, for the money Rich gave him, so too the Clinton money and influence cast a long shadow over Democratic politics.

  • Lady MacBeth is Toast

[Read the article: How much will white racism hurt Obama?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hillary is self-destructing before our eyes. Her statement today regarding RFK's June assassination with respect to her continuation in the nomination race was revolting.

Yes, Obama must deal with white racism wherever he finds it. Happily a very white looking Oregon gave him an 18 point win. Be assured that Republicans in a very red state like Kentucky are following their orders to vote for Hillary. How else does one explain that she got more than 3 times the vote of John McCain there?

Every American is affected by the price of gas. The only assured way of lowering the price is to reduce demand for oil with alternatives, wind, solar, American hybrids as good as the Toyota Prius. Obama can argue that he is way ahead of John McCain here.

The Iraq debacle can be tied to George W. Bush and Bush's enablers in Congress like John McCain. Barack Obama had the foresight to see as Jim Webb did that a long occupation in Iraq would take our eye off Al Qaeda and drain our military and financial resources.

Both Webb and Obama and many Republicans supported the improved GI Bill for Iraq vets. McCain and President Bush opposed it. If we can afford to bail out Bear Stearns, we can help our own veterans. McCain will never live down this vote with racists or anyone else.

Once Hillary exits stage right to boos for her Lady MacBeth impersonation, McCain will face the united Democratic Party and the justified wrath of Americans disgusted with HIS Republican Party policies.
