  • Forget the Super-Delegates, Obama leads in delegates by 161

[Read the article: Oh, happy day -- another debate announced]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hillary Clinton would have us believe that this race is tied. No way in hell is it tied.

"Pennsylvania will decide it all", she says. My state of birth only has 158 delegates to allot. Go Pennsylvania and give Barack plenty of your support. He is smarter, kinder, more competent. and more in control of his person than Hillary.

He will win the debate with her in Philly and another in North Carolina if she can find the time to show.

Has anyone seen Hillary and Bill's 1040's ? It's tax time again.

  • 52000 Republicans Voted in Mississippi's Democratic Primary - 41000 of Them Voted for Hillary!

[Read the article: Who wants to be a Democrat?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Republicans know who they want to face SINCE McCain locked up their nomination. Her name is Hillary Clinton. In Mississippi the Republicans voted 78% (41000 votes) for Clinton and only 22% (11000 votes) for Obama.

Obama folks are signing up Democrats in Pennsylvania.

  • It's That Time of Year Again - Tax Time for Hillary

[Read the article: Who wants to be a Democrat?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Do you think Hillary Clinton will ask for an extension ?

Those 1040's that she has not shown us could begin to pile up.

Let me see now, no 1040's, no list of contributors to Bill's library, and no list of her "earmarks".

Hmmmm... I am so glad she is "fully vetted" at least in Hillaryspeak she is.

  • Memo to Posters Here - Republicans Voting for Hillary in March 2008

[Read the article: Memo to Clinton and Obama: Stop spinning]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why? She is easier to beat in their mind. Also, Republicans follow orders rather well. They line up like ducks, repeat the same phrases, and do what they are told.

In Mississippi alone, 52000 Republicans voted in the March 11 Democratic primary. 41000 went for Hillary. She might get 3% of those in November.

In Collin County, Texas, we see a county that voted over 70% for George Bush in 2004. It was the highest percent margin for Bush among all large Texas Counties in 2004. Yet on March 4, 2008 Hillary got 7500 more votes than John McCain in Collin County.

We know very well that Hillary Clinton is not loved in Collin County, Texas and in Mississippi Republican districts. We also knew that McCain had the Republican nomination locked up by March 1. So to make their vote count, Republicans voted for the Democrat they thought easiest to beat in November.

  • I'm Not Worried Until Larry Kudlow Is Worried

[Read the article: Nightmare on Wall Street]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Dick Cheney's friend, Larry, is the pseudo-guru that I turn to for advice. When Larry speaks no one else can because he has a loud voice and loves to interrupt people.

    Has anyone seen Larry Kudlow?

  • In 2000 Edward M. Gramlich, a Fed. Governor, Warned Greenspan

[Read the article: The crash in Republican economics ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Gramlich warned Greenspan about dubious practices of subprime lenders. Greenspan rejected the idea of examining the books of bank affliates.

"What alarmed Mr. Gramlich was that many subprime loans were extremely complicated and loaded with hidden risks."

"Borrowers were being qualified for loans based on low initial teaser rates, rather than the much higher rates they would have to pay after a year or two. Many of the loans came with big fees that were hidden in the overall interest rate. And many had prepayment penalties that effectively blocked people from getting cheaper loans for two years or longer."

The above quotes were taken from a December 18, 2007 NY Times article titled "Fed and Regulators Shrugged As the Subprime Crisis Spread" by Edmund L. Andrews.

Alan Greenspan should be brought up on charges of criminal negligence.

  • Joan Supports Hillary and It Shows

[Read the article: Was Obama's speech enough?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So you don't think Obama "shares Wright's worst views" ?

    Hey Walsh, Thanks a lot!

Your comment is as good as your candidate, Hillary, who when asked if she thought

Barack Obama was a Muslim, answered, "No, he is a Christian, as far as I know."

His speech was terrific. If he told you something about his grandmother, it is true.

What the hell do you know about it ? He has always loved his grandmother with good

    reason.

You know damn well that his speech was far beyond the ability of Hillary, your Ready

    On Day 1 candidate.

  • There Must Be Some Little Slip in the Gettysburg Address that Joan Can Point Out to Us

[Read the article: Moving beyond Obama and race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

First, I will have to read it in great detail. Did Lincoln, that damned slave lover, slip somewhere ?

    Now let me see...

  • I Found Lincoln's Slip in the Gettysburg Address

[Read the article: Moving beyond Obama and race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Lincoln begins by referring to 1776 (ie. four score and seven years ago). In 1776 there are a number of slaves within the American colonies who were not considered or treated as "equals".

Therefore, Lincoln's "All men are created equal" is quite wrong. Not only that Joan, old Abe left out the women !

See Joan, you can trash any speech. And you, my dear, are very good at it.

    Congratulations!

Thanks for the compliment as well. You offered Ms. Walsh advice that she likely won't take. Still, we hope.

  • Shapiro Sounds Like We Have a Tie Here - No We Don't.

[Read the article: The Democrats' anti-momentum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Forgetting about super-delegates and counting only pledged delegates by primary or caucus vote, Barack Obama has a 150+ delegate lead. Two other of Shapiro's points were troublesome.

First, Mr. Shapiro would have us believe that Governor Bill Richardson's choice to endorse Obama now is based on self-interest. Mr. Shapiro provided no proof. Yet one can go to 'youtube' and listen to the Governor's endorsement speech, as I have done, and decide on your own. I disagree with Mr. Shapiro's assessment.

Second, Shapiro alludes to "wrong-way Rev. Jeremiah Wright". We have been shown a brief clip, courtesy of Fox News, of Reverend Wright speaking negatively about our country. But after watching a much longer segment of that controversial sermon, one sees a different picture. Therefore, please go to www.youtube.com/trinitychgo and see what I saw. It is an eye-opener.

  • My God, Obama's Lead Is 171

[Read the article: The Democrats' anti-momentum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

In an earlier letter tonight I mentioned a lead of 150+ only to find out that the lead is actually 171, if super-delegates are not counted.

Since super-delegates are allowed to change their mind, one might count them only at the Convention in late August.

    You said,

"And there is no way he (Obama) can change the public's perception of him."

I disagree. The way you do it is 'one person at a time'.

So Roberta, go watch Rev. Wright's comments that lead up to the FOX clip. See

then let us hear back from you.
