Fuck you Anonymous, you chickenshit coward.

I know I should just ignore you and that you come here to discredidt this site, but never again, for anyone, anywhere and if you got a charge out of being a bad boy/girl for being so cute and outrageous, you need help. I genuinely hope you get it.

And for those who conflate Jews and the extreme right, Zionist neocon, shrunken heads, either here or in Israel, grow your brains up a little and make those synapses do their job; they're not the same thing.......how hard can this be to figure out?

Original article: Limitless wrongness

Not to be too dense, but,

who cares about the great big deal of MoveOn's phrase? We climb into the hyena's mouth when we even respond to the 'outraged' thing the propagandists on the right cultivate. Petraeus HAS betrayed the American people. Over and over again as Greenwald suggests. This is like chasing a malarial mosquito after it's already feasted on you. As soon as the left gets defensive, we're lost. That's the big, dumb secret of the right's power, to my way of thinking. The left is capable of so much more, so much more nuanced and ethical thinking but we keep saying, 'No! that's not what I meant!' This is a bully we're dealing with - the whole world is dealing with.

This isn't to say Greenwald shouldn't address this issue - he does, comprehensively and incisively. He calls it what it is; yet another successful freakshow by the propagandists for the right. The media treat the whole thing as if it's a sport; who's winning, who's losing (guess who) and yet the people recognize we are being lied to now. We have the strength, we have the numbers, BUT WE HAVE ALMOST NO LICENSED REPRESENTATIVES, politically and in the media. Buy alternative news, advertise in alternative forums, talk to your neighbours, get out on the street and say it through passive resistance. Wear flourescent orange. But act now.

one more thing,

I remember speaking with a South African ex-national bush pilot in northern Canada once, twenty some years ago. He explained that the blacks were too stupid to govern themselves, and that they only understood force. I was so young but even I recognized the cadence of a parasite, and only later discovered how ubiquitous such a sentiment is in colonialism. These guys are terrified that someday everyone in the world is going to believe that they have rights and they're gonna say, 'give it back'. Our country is a parasite. Stupid with the smell of blood. Indifferent to the death of the host.

And Iraq is just the base camp. Iran is where they really want to go.

You'll never pry it from their cold, dead hands, mr. bucheney. You want to enslave a people, maybe humanity itself, but we all say, no.

Look how hard these people try, they use their teeth and their claws, a fight to the death every time.

They'll use anything. They have no couth other than the kind they learn to use in Country Clubs.

Winning is everything. They only notice the blood when they're wiping it off, worried it might be their own.

I'm hard pressed not to think of them as monsters. But that would be the worst trick of all. This is just what happens when some people get too much power. Apparently you CAN spoil some chilren too much. More love and fear. And sometimes just fear.

Right

Americans really are now living in a totalitarian state, it's like living in a line up for bread and having the local paper being read out extolling the virtues of our new tractors which have produced our huge surplus of wheat. Chomsky said it in the 70's; Americans are more effectively propagandized than the Soviets. Citizens there were very clear that their government gave them gruel for news. Lied to them, disappeared them and tortured them. But this has now taken to the surreal, now we're somewhere between Orwell, the Nazis and Kafka. Our 'Leaders' no longer represent the majority of our citizens. Apparently they no longer work for us. It's hard to imagine it being more clear that we watch puppets for news and not the puppeteers at all, and that, apparently we are the ones who can't quite get the script right no matter how many times we point out the obvious lies and inconsistencies.

Last night

I couldn't help wondering what it is that that 29% (or whatever)of Americans are so afraid of; why are they so enraged and needing the letting of blood for their own wellbeing? Why is deliberate harming of 'the other' so necessary to this blood thirsty bunch? Only an extreme sense of defensiveness or a complete lack of ethical behavior can justify the bizarre nature of the extreme (and the right is about as extreme as you can get now) blood-thirsty-ness of this segment of Americans. The treatment of Padilla and those at Guantanamo and black sites, are about vengeance and hatred and so, obviously, fear.

Why?

Can these people be talked down from the ledge they inhabit? What will happen if the ship of state rights itself and we get resolution - Justice. How will we bring these people along with the rest of humanity?

Curse

It's not hard to see the gleefulness and nasty joy the lunatic brownshirts 'get' at the fact that the left is by nature all tied up in knots in terms of sticking to one's ethics. I picture Cheney and Rove having many good laughs over that(now there's a fascinating relationship we never, never, hear about.) A moment's hypocrisy on the left feeds the cynicism and the hate needs of the right forever....'Clinton did it!' We enjoy their travails, too, at least when it gets to the level of extreme irony. Unfortunately, there's such a great, gross quantity of animated ugliness that we can choose from that I know I feel I'm drowning in it.

We do have to be careful not to dehumanize. It's our curse.
