Original article: Show me the sexism!

Show you the Money!

I'm sure the reason for the real disparity is that when it comes to large money making industries...defense, automotive, Wallsheet, business, lumber, energy..these are all "old boy" industries that have a lot of money running through them and rife with sexist old boys attitudes and behaviors...consciously or otherwise. Very few if any women work within these real halls of power type industries in any true mid to upper management positions; where the money discrepancy is no doubt vast.

So if women where able to crack those institutional ceilings...I'm sure more money would pour out. But don't look too soon. These industries to a great degree nurture their own...and that means gender too!

Original article: The Sarah Palin pity party

Just another Republican "failing UP!"

Palin is just the poster child for the Republicans Peter Principal; def. In a Hierarchy Every Employee Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence.

Well she has in spades! and so has the complete lot of them! Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, RIce, Wolfowitz. Now we have McClan and his Veep choice which should be enough of a practical, working example of why McCain isn't using good judgement and that this is the type of reasoning he will bring to all Presidential issues.

I'm F'ing scared because I think this country is racist in it's chewy nuggetty center and the election will show us once and for all just how much!

I'm just glad I DO live on the left coast!!

Original article: I am not a hockey mom

And what if I don't even have a kid!??

Then what? Is my vote forth less or it is then harder to track therefore not worthy of discussion?

it will never be, "what is the intelligent single successful woman planning to do with her vote."

Why bother...she will study facts, listen to candidates...hear the lies and double-talk for herself and make a decision not based on what someone looks like or what they like to drink or any BS on those levels.

Too bad hockey moms aren't more like single women!

So true

As a forty year old this year and as a forty year old todays' in America, what is still this ga-ga over the Kennedy name? After all, wasn't she a Schlossberg (sp?) for almost as long as a Kennedy? Also, zero experience as well in the world of politics? And I thought only the Republican's put puppets in politics!?

The Kennedy's have had enough scandals with the primer generation and the following generations to rub off the sheen that was once the Kennedy name. Time and recorded historical behavior changes everything....except when you have to stock the pond with Dems apparently!

Nothing fresh about this move!

BEth Ditto?!

If Beth Ditto is the plus size role model to emulate in the 21 century...fat chicks don't deserve a role model...or better yet...should not be looking to Beth Ditto in the first place.

She can't sing and she doesn't make anything she wears look good...even as a biggin'..just sayin'

I have suffered with weight issues all my life and having Beth Ditto as a model of modern girth is a fat joke...every pun intended!!! Just because she is annoying and obnoxious doesn't mean she deserves to have a camera in her face and and to be quoted...moreover, to design a fashion line, oh bother!

Makes me glad I was able to lose the weight.

If this was a study in America...

80% of these freelancers probably have no health insurance with no hope of being able to get any either. Also...freelance works especially well for employers because they can have a selection of desperate talent willing to work to the bone with the hopes of being hired while the employer has no need to actually hire them. They save money by not having to provide for an actual W2 employee. This has been going on for over 15 years now in The States with no let up in site. It's perfectly good for unfettered commerce but terrible for a society as a whole.

No accountability on both sides...which reflects our society now...to a tee!

you seem to me to be a weak personality

I don't even trust your switch now. Considering you were so gullible to gravitate onto conservative ideas based on hanging out in college and you were swayed by your "compadres" post 911 PTSD, you can once again just as easily be swayed again by yet another ideology...liberal constructs being the thoughts of the day for you currently.

The only thing is at least your head is a bit less up your a*s then before. But something still stinks to me!
