First Dude

Well by dropping that "e" on the end of dude, you get a dud!

I cannot fathom Palin and dude in the oval office or even near it. I hate to sound snobbish, but someone else also noted....trailer trash...they have no class whatsoever. When I think of Condoleeza Rice, another Republican woman, I see such a contrast of gentility and excellence. Rice may have promoted Pres Bush, but if she were her own woman in office, I'm sure she would use her considerable intelligence wisely. Right now, I think she is more of a power than Cheney. Why do Americans pick

the least common, or should I say the most common denominator?

liberals?

Why is Christopher Hitchens listed among these liberals. He is always criticizing the liberals and praising the conservatives.

Republican Problems

Someone said the country club set of the Republican Party didn't have enough "balls" to slap around the religious right of the party. I think this is the case. The Republicans are so narrow in their appeal, they really have no choice but to be more inclusive..and that is hard to do when you are mostly people who are exclusive.

John Edward's Folly

I was sorry to hear all the sordid details of Edward's extramaarital affairs. However, there are two sides to this incident as there always seem to be. I was thinking that Elizabeth Edwards's illness had something to do withthe affair..Edwards' was trying to avoid pain for is wife, and in so doing, caused her more mental anguish. I feel sorry for both of them, but Edwards is like Pres. Clin ton....they both think that they are God's gift to women, and they feel they can flaunt the laws of marriage.
