Well, I hope the liberal media...

gets on that on-going 'active investigation' concerning Gov. Palin. The only 'facts' about this case I can ascertain from the liberal media is that she fired a state trooper and replaced him with the Lord Almighty.

Maybe this will fire up the Base.

bah.

ps. I am cuter than Cindy McCain... but I admit she dresses better.

What's the difference between a pit bull with lipstick and the GOP's cheerful viciousness?

Thats right, nothing. (A trick question.)

A pit bull with lipstick, eh. I don't doubt it.

Alas, I missed Palin's speech last night but caught many highlights on the Joe and Mika show this morn over cheerios. Nick nack paddy whack ... give a dog a bone.

I think it best to wait for the active, on-going investigation of Palin to wrap-up before ... in fact, I didn't know you could pick someone under investigation for the Vice President. But it don't surprise me none.

lipstick for possums too,

bah.

The current odds are 5 to 4, Obama.

I've gone down from initial 2 to 1 line, but you can still make some money if McCain brings home the bacon. *Act Now*

sick puppies. And that's just the democrats.

I caught a whiff of McCain's speech last night. I'm not a 'brain man', but surely McCain is certifiable? Between his 'maverick-march-to-a-different-drummer' And 'reach-across-the-asile-centrist' moderate rhetoric, I had a bad case of mental vertigo in the first 15 min.. ... But I don't want to dwell unnecessarily on such unpleasentries.

I say this: the herd I saw last night rooting for this bozo are driven primarily by the MEDIA. I've never seen anything like it. As far as I can tell, McCain could have picked Putin with no adverse poll effects.

As for his pick, Sarah, I'm not sure which Founder said 'one nation under Jesus' in the pledge originally? Mayber Jefferson? Madison? Adams ... I doubt my hero ol Ben said it. (i'm sure William Timberman would know ...if he were here.)

In any case, I am placing great emphasis on the upcoming debates to sort all this out. And most specifically the >moderators<</b> of the debates ... I sure hope it doesn't boil down to flag pins again!

Anchored down in Anchorage,

Glad you could make it Lateagain.

I agree, there is no call to get nasty*. There is the R-way, the D-way and by the way./

third way,

bah.

*I don';t think Glenn means to get nasty. Just that 'cheerful' viciousness should be met with 'stern' humor.

Smarter than the average moose?

I don't know how smart Sarah is. ...but imagine you're a cute little moose prancing down to the sparkling brook to have a long drink of cool water. And, then, bam!... Sarah blows you're fucking head off. 'Now, I ask you, does it matter to the cute little moose how smart Sarah is?!' No, it don't matter a hill of beans. (h/t M. Tomei(sp?))

...

re: "extremely smart -- much smarter than the average media star who will eventually be interviewing her -- and she is very politically skilled as well."

Well, that's just great Glenn. But, when is it time to get down and dirty ... i think i could be useful here.

burp,

bah.

A sack full of confidence (tm).

KB4hire. I know what you mean about Sarah sugar britches. After listening to her snarling speech the other night I rather felt like ...well, you know like after an Ice cold shower (shrinkage! wink-)_.

Anyway, Cocktailhag. It's great to see you! I get a lot of confidence reading your writings. ... I tend to see it all as some-sort of evolving creation (that might be one-word.).

I recall, one time, getting into a 350+ post-intertube-discussion on this very subject with some very bright (and well qualified) people. In terms of strict evolutionary discipline, suffice it to say I have no major problems with 'micro' evolutionary scholarship but do have some minor problems with 'macro' evolutionary scholarship.

(o/t, of course)

troubled,

bah.

That's called Slant Drilling (sysprog).

>" When oil and gas prices went up so dramatically, and the state revenues followed with that increase, I sent a large share of that revenue directly back to the people of Alaska."

A change is coming alright.

...

Sarah reminds me, for all the world, of recently de-throned Gov. Ernie Flecther (R-Ky). Ernie, an ex-fighter pilot (res.) like Pres. Bush, was (&is) a certified ordained preacher. So, natually, when State Department heads/Cabinet members failed to bow their heads in a moment of silence during bidness meetings, ol Ernie replaced them with, what he called, 'Disciples'. They even had their own Biblical-based blackberry codes for urgent bidness.

Worked like a charm til the state AG stuck his nose into it.

praise be,

bah.

Dry your eyes Glenn.

Ideally, the market-place [for ex.: of ideas] can only accrue for the benefit of both individual 'self-interest' and 'society at large' when it rests on the fundamental assumption that said market-place is free and unfettered. That's why they call it the 'free-market' place.

Unfortunately, through the marvel of technology, much of the Press today - the information which informs the people - has erected barriers to entry that are prohibitive, to say the least.

Leaving aside traditional written Press (a debate best had, perhaps, by the 'Greenwaldians' of the world.), many citizens get their information, 24/7, from broadcast television. Needless to say, the cost-of-entry in todays televised markets are astronomical. Obviously, todays televised, broadcast press, the 'news', is neither free nor unfettered. (...and personally, as a result, I wouldn't give the credibility of CBS,ABC,NBC,CNNx3,MSNBCx,FOXies the steam off my piss.)

It seems to me, as someone(?) said the other day, we (loosely speaking) need someone with some deeep pockets. ...Which reminds me, wtf has happened to George Soros?

In any case, Glenn, a writer writes.
