I'm trying to keep a civil tongue, Glenn.

But it's no use.

Why "it's bordering on illegal" i heard on mika this morning joe regarding great Scott's book. (*at least Mika's daddy would agree). Hey, we are still just 'one signature away from ending this war.'

o/t By co-incidence, most congress-creatures praise the job they did in the run-up to the war, too. Brutes.

While I've heard many today again lament and bemoan the loss of our soldiers and our fortunes because of Scott's latest revelations, nobody ever mentions all the Iraqis affected by the war. It's like they don't exist. It boggles my mind Glenn.

Lets hope force will soon become the servant of justice.

...let those who pant, pant for bliss.

@An amusing legal speculation.

>"Can we sue the news companies for false advertising or malpractice of some kind? Since they claimed to be news companies, this kind of shilling and ignorance clearly is against what they say they are?"

Not sure, but a great point. Malpractice sounds about right. I just read, and misplaced, a story on 'blogger' liability, btw. The gist was it seems bloggers are liable for the content of their blogs. ...but not, as Glenn breaths a sigh of relief, the blogs commenters.

(bah.)

ps. William. how liberal are you! ...you've always seemed rather refined to me.

Give a dog a bone William.

>"talk is cheap" (sotto voce).

I don't know how 'cheap' Scott McClellan's talk is , or if he's shedding new 'skin', or what have you, but your admonitions on the seemingly infinite ways and means of human propensity to elaborate on the obvious reminded me of the story about the dog and his owner;

~what the dog owner says: "good dog fido, you keep the wolves at bay, make a fine pillow for the fireside, a loyal companion and you don't eat much"

~what the dog hears: "blah, blah, blah, "bone", blah, blah, blah, "gravy", blah , blah, blah, "food", blah."

gravy train,

bah.

ps. My condolences to Bucky's family. I, too, liked Buckys spirit.

I don't know what a swing state is for.

Don't know what the base is doing. But I do know what a slide rule is for. And if you love me to, what a wonderful world this could be.

LIsten, nitwits, there is only one Party! There is no libertarian party, rastafarain party or DEMOCRATic party. And who, in their right minds, would call the Republicans a party. There is only one party - the human party.

bah.

Ref. concerning bop. "I am sure his mysticism will charm some readers and repel others...Therefore it is not surprising that Albert Einstein and Chuangtse agree, as agree they must, on the relativity of all standards. The only difference is that Einstein takes on the more difficult and, to a Chinese, more stupid work of mathematical proof, while Chuangtse furnishes the philosophic import of this theory of relativity, which must be sooner or later developed by Western philosophers in the next decades."

(Tao, Chuangtse (Lin Yutang tr))

ps. Where's the party?

The Swing of things.

There you are Cocktailhag. I was just viewing a rendition of Les hazards heureus de l'escarpolette. Beautiful.

(I do wish William would at least try to speak english.)

I've been wanting to tell you, cocktailhag, that you are one of my favorites writers around here. You have a real gift.

Are you close to north fork of goose creek by any chance? we could ride my jetski under the bright stars.

bah.

~william. I suppose Glenn could blunt his sharp objects a bit, but what fun would that be. You know, I used to think that Glenn was not very funny, but I've come to realize that he is a great straight-man. Good mind, too :)

Friday, June 6, 2008 09:59 PM

I've already confessed.

Don't need to confess again.

~cocktailhag. From the perspective of a The New Yorker, gooose creek is just past the little mud flat (new jersey) and before China.

Park Ave.!. dang. I just adore a penthouse view! . ...i'll be there before you know it, drinking like that.

~Jebbie. I was referring to Glenn's comedic orientation.

No. ... because you would love it.

"Should it be done in the wide sweep of history? Yes. Should it be done by us now? No." ~Sen. Rockerfeller, Chairman.

And don't take no for an answer.

It's a dandy alright.

The crux of Sena Fitzmaurice/Comcast problems with Blue America ad: Carney "... wants to pardon phone companies who broke the law and gave thousands to his campaign."

Actually, it's worse than that Shooter. It is a matter of public record the Bush Adm. conducted warrantless surveillance on American citizens, with the assistance of telcoms, contrary to U.S. (FISA) law. As far as I know, this is not a matter of contention or debate. The Bush Adm. has claimed Executive Authority, for itself and telcoms involved, in breaking the law (FISA). Carney, I believe, wants to provide retroactive immunity for telcoms involved (see: Senate FISA bill s2248) in ongoing lawsuits before a court of law can decide if the Bush Adm. has the constitutional authority (under Art. II) to break the law (FISA). Thus, Carney wants to provide retroactive immunity before a pardon could/would be comtemplated.

At least, that's the way I see it.

bah.

~William. don't sue me for defamation but people who are 'left pragmatic' ain't in their right minds -*right handed, maybe. Also, I caught a 47" muskie on a bank pole. Can you believe it!

~Che "it's just the way things are". Don't believe them.
