fog of war.

I've forgotten more about Pys-ops than they know, Glenn. (*But I keep some truth serum just in case.) And the truth is; there were no WMD or 9/11 terrorist connections in Iraq. So, by all means, please ask Brian Williams and Generals WTF we are doing there. ty. (Personally, I don't know how you put up with this kind of nonsense, Glenn)

ob (other business)

Glenn, is Jon Stewart a constitutional lawyer? No, he is not. Yet, Jon is the only one (that I know of) who reported on the more than vapid 60 min. interview with Supreme Court Judge Scalia. I think it's safe to say that whatever disease afflicts our Ex./Leg. Branches has developed a dang life-time immunity and resistance to treatment in the Judge Scalia's judicial branch.

in toto, ta ta.

The son of a preacher man.

Rev. Franklin Graham, son of Rev. Billy Graham that is.

Somebody @ the Daily Show must be reading my mind. Jon did a segment on Rev. Billy Graham - the 'official spiritual advisor' to the Presidents lo these many years - yesterday to contrast all the hoopla over the Rev. Wright's latest drama. [Jon played some tapes of President Nixon and Rev. Graham talking in ernest about how the Jews were taking over the country, circa 1960-70's?]

I had been pondering on the Rev. Grahams for the past week, Spooky enough, but what really moved me is Rev. Franklin Graham's proclamations (before/during/after Iraq invasion) that "Islam is Evil."

Since Islam has more adherents than any other world religion (last I checked) and the Rev.s Grahams are considered (by most Media anyway) to be very mainstream American Christian ministers, I thought Rev. Graham's rather prophetically Bold statement -*Islam is Evil*- to be almost as divisive as the shuck & jive Rev. Wright show.

...anyway.

...'weapons of war, symptoms of madness. Who really profits from the dying', bop? I don't know. But I do think that, though we cannot overlook mankind's 'stained record of oppression and tryanny, above them shines the devotion of countless millions who, through sacrifice, have led mankind to view more spacious vistas.' (badly paraphrased, from something I was thinking of.)

chirp,

bah.

That dog don't hunt.

If Carney is rural PA (viz-a-v Appalachia, same thing Glenn), you should go with that Blue-Tick Hound(Carney) Don't Hunt as the Ad header. When in Rome ... and all that.

In fact, as far as I'm concerned during the recent FISA (cough) debates Carney might as well have jumped a coyote (they are thick now) way out bushy-fork and, unable to resist the scent, followed his nose right off a cliff as far the Facts go (to his tragic demise). Many a fine blue-tick hunting dog has followed his nose off a cliff chasing the wily coyote, in case you didn't know Glenn.

I would add that leader Hoyer thinks, at least during the FISA debates, and probably still does, he is slick-as-snot. Yes, I would add that.

bah.

ot~ che pasa ... I saw your post addressed to me in prior thread. ty and yes, ain't that the truth (about the low-down media.). However, the comedy channel I was referring to was MSNBC, of course. :

ob~ Here, in ky., I think there is *also* a real chance at defeating Sen. Mitch *$ is free speech* McConnell. Now, that would be a real coo. coo.

Nation building.

Actually, Iraq already was a sovereign nation, recognized by the entire international community, before we invaded. Neither it's borders nor its rights/obligations as a nation has changed (afaik).

The borders of Iraq, as with most every nation in world, have been established and internationally recognized for some time now - there are even international standards for 'changing' water/wetland bounderies between nations. (*of course, there Are disputes -ex. Isreal/Tibet- but the geography of the dispute is known.)

So, as always Glenn, my question for Mr. Haitt, re; Iraq, is WTF are we doing there ... (since, we cannot logically be 'building a nation' where one already exists).?. *McCain says oil my friends .. but he don't won't to bug nobody in the u.s.a. unduly.

I think Hiatt et.elk, are... limited in the way they [can] see the world Glenn - indeed, its like a distinct 'mind-set' that is based on, imo, a completely false sense of patriotism.

Clearly, a sense of national autonomy, and the patriotism it inspires, is essential if the excessives of centralization in world affairs are to be avoided.

Still, in this day and age, 'nation building' offers no solutions to the worlds intractable problems - climate, resources, etc. I think ... 'world unity is the goal towards which a harrassed humanity is striving ...The anarchy inherent in state sovereignty is moving towards a climax. A world, growing to maturity, must abondon this fetish, recognize the oneness and wholeness of human relationships, and establish once for all the machinery that can best incarnate this fundamental principle of its life.'

bah.

ps. I'd rather bug bop.
