My momma wears army boots.

So don't feel too bad, William.

I understand your reluctance in taking too much 'comfort' in the Obama speech, too. A few posts ago I mentioned that I 'trusted' Obama, but forgot to add the 'as far as I can throw him'.

as far as it goes,

bah.

Original article: Lessons not learned

Breaking news.

McCain just declared Victory in Iraq. (he says the search for evil will last another 100 yrs, however.)

brain fart,

bah.

Ps. Please hire the overqualified and excessively diligent. Take Hitchens for example. Please.

Slaughter house 5.

Vengeance is mine sayeth the ...

>"...playing gotcha."

Accountability (justice) is not the same thing as vengeance. One would end the war ('fix it') and the other simply seeks to appease the anger of the heart.

(*it was the blue pill, John Cole.)

I don't comment anywhere else

either DCLaw1. It's down to Glenn (& a very few others) that I will even listen to about the sorry state of our union. :)

I don't know what causes racism, per say. I suspect it's like our *vapid* press Glenn keeps talking about. It's just vapid ... and ignorant.

In any case, ignorance is a terrible affliction. In my neck of the woods ,deep in the appalachian foothills, it's the number one affliction. Imo.

REading is a muscle.

But my pen swoons and faints away trying to describe what comes out of my tv that passes for news... let alone anything to do with 'the Iraq debate', Glenn! (For me, the reasons for war must always be Crystal Clear ... so I trust you understand my dilemma.)

Late last night, for example, [even] c-pan had something on called 'the future of Iraq' presented by the AEI and a few of its distinguished fellers. Kagan, our pal Pollock and couple other piss-eloquent idiots were trying to outline the future of Iraq for the common folk. I've rarely heard such big words used so poorly. Lingo dingos. The whole thing reminded my of the old saying; 'they know more and more about less and less and eventually they will know everything about nothing.' It's hard for me to imagine them fellers deciding the future of anything.:/

Bop's good celery: I support getting married. If it don't work out, you can always be a baa baa (black sheep) philosopher. (paraphrase, Socrates or Playtoes.)

baa,

bah.

If your mind dislike any thing, obey it.

(What can and cannot be said on the tv.) What I want to know is what rough beast slouches for Denver?

baa baa for now,

bah.

~aside for bop's good celery; ACT V, Scene II ..."Our indiscretion sometimes serves us well,

When our deep plots do pall*; and that should teach

us

There's a divinity that shapes our ends,

Rough-hew them how we will."

a.b.c.

a. Yes, that's what I saw coming out of my tv the other night. Scared the bejesus woo't out of me.

b. You missed some the best parts, Glenn. They, esp. Mr. Pollack, Do Have a very good command of Military ...uh, lingo. It's weirdly impressive [from my perspective] how they can 'put' the most insidious ideas forward in such official-sounding ways.

c. wrong. it could a) And b).

hi bop/baa bye bop.

spring in my steps,

bah.

psst. William. who the hell is this Mooser! He doth hath a sharp tongue, i must say. :

C.I.A., LLC.

Gen. Hayden on Meet Tim Russert Show this morning: see our new Disclaimer Policy!

Furthermore, Gen. Hayden advised that although Congress (or some other quasi-gov. org.) may actually take away water-boarding from the CIA's 'play box of tools'[sic], he reserves the right to invent/create new methods for torture as circumstances may dictate. I'm pretty sure thats what he said.

Also, in response to Tim's direct question on WMD , al-queada terrorists, etc., Gen. Hayden said 'they got that wrong.'

And that was good enough for Tim.

bah.

ps;.bop aka good celery: i drink crocodile tears for breakfast. tang for astronauts. also, i've eat a lot of crow! :&

McCain a centrist... and a Maverick to boot! (*things that make you go hummm.)

I don't know, Glenn. All i know is i am way to the Left of you. Not to mention, packyderms.

(note to self; check w/ William about this ... if he hasn't cut his-self too bad on that sharp tongue.)

Yes indeed, there needs to be a debate about the war (Iraq) and foreign policy in general, Glenn. &*uck media World, and the horse they rode in on, too.

This is why I wish Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama would do something, anything, other than beat around the bush. The sooner, the better. imo.

knock on wood,

bah.

Original article: John Yoo's war crimes

Yoo who.

John Yoo's Lawyer talk aint fooling nobody.

Lawyers ain't never fooled me, Glenn. Catfish have 'horns' (poison tipped, some say) on their heads, and lawyers don't. ...contrary to what one may read some places.

This is why I keep telling William it's so important to know some English. I believe it was Shakespeare who said 'first know thy english'.

Saw a bumper sticker yesterday (April fools day), ' Jokes over. Bring back the Constitution', and thought of you'all.:)

ex parte for now,

bah.

poo bahs.

I think Lee Hamilton is one of those Demorcatic "poo bahs" that Broccoli (prize winner) Obama says (on the Hardball 'college tour') will ultimately decide the Democratic Nomination.

I also think there is more than ample reason to impeach the President/VP and their whole incompetent/deceitful staff (& certainly not, necessarily, because of 9/11) at this moment. Everybody knows this.

The problem is there is no ...law to call to impeach the retards. Literally. The AG?... right (wrong). Congress...ain't gonna happen. Media, well lets hope so.

In the mean time, I hope those fat-wit, big-wig Democratic "poo bahs" exercise a little judgement and eat more Broccoli. I don't know how far Broccoli would push it, but he has indicated he plans to start by 'going through every single signing statement' by Bush Adm. That's a good start. imo.

poo,

bah.
