Back in the U.S.S.R.

Flew in from miami beach beach

Didn’t get to bed last night

On the way the paper bag was on my knee

Man I had a dreadful flight

I’m back in the u.s.s.r.

You don’t know how lucky you are boy

Back in the u.s.s.r.

Been away so long I hardly knew the place

Gee it’s good to be back home

Leave it till tomorrow to unpack my case

Honey disconnect the phone

I’m back in the u.s.s.r.

You don’t know how lucky you are boy

Back in the u.s., back in the u.s., back in the u.s.s.r.

Oooh show me round your smokey mountains way down south

Take me to your daddy’s farm

Let me hear your balalaika’s ringing out

Come and keep your comrade warm

I’m back in the u.s.s.r.

You don’t know how lucky you are boys

Back in the u.s.s.r.

DA,

bah.

Original article: Brand-aid

Obama ain't selling the snake-oil brand.

Wonderful, inspirational and inclusive article Jeff.

However, I wish you people would stop expressing Barack's 'underlying values' as simply a matter of 'inspiration, inclusion, iconoclasm,' transcendant charisma, the messiah or lord Buddha. That's all very nice, like icing on a cake, but I think if Barack were the Messiah or Buddha ... he would say so.

No, I'm for Barack because of his 'competence, experience, professionlism, resilience, candor, courage, earthiness, populism and humility'. Those Underlying values.

...especially his Experience value.

Original article: The "Rezko" game

I want to do right (but not right now).

I don't care what any of you'all say: I ain't going to vote for anybody who voted AYE on the dang-freaking AUMF in Iraq. They ain't qualified to be President, in my book.(*I'll go to the south-side of Sorrento and frollick all day with Timberman on the beautiful Amalfi drive, if I have to. ...i may do it anyway.)

Hillary says she would ...uh, like to have 'that vote back'. Well, there are about 4000 dead U.S. soldiers, hundreds-of-thousands of dead Iraqis and millions more Iraqis more/less permanantly displaced/located from their homes and/or country that would like Hillary to have 'that vote back' too.

You know, Hillary, invading another sovereign country (esp. in the mid-east) on False, unjustified and, thus, illegal pretenses, actively undermining international co-operation and economic stability, creating havoc with oil markets (and prices!), tarnishing U.S. global standing and good will ... is not like tripping over your feet and falling down the stairs, or even a failing bid for Universal health care. Not even close.

Pardon the mostly ot rant. (i must needs... an extention). I've got nothing 'against' Hillary. 'Whitewater' is what i like to do with a kayak. It's just that Hillary made a Huge, World-shaking MISTAKE in regards the Iraq War that would be hard for me to overlook. No offense.

i'll be back,

bah.

Yeah, you want to do right, but not right now.'

Obama was my third choice too.

Right behind the Messiah and the Sun God, Ra.

Notwithstanding Barack's obvious shortcomings, it seems to me, clearly, that Barack is no dummy, neither. (*Actually, I have him (and Glenn) scored-out around the 95th percentile, for those who are interested in such things.)

No, the real/main reason I'm for Obama is because ... uh, let me think how to put this ... uh, ...it's not exactly his intellect...uh, it's not his skin color ...uh, it's sure not his dancing... its...uh,... I Trust him. Of course, you'all will have to verify this yourselves. *And don't believe a word you hear, unless it's true. (*That's also the main reason I read Glenn. Dependable facts. Honest. ...it sure ain't his sqribblings, Glenn don't write too good, but I don't hold it against him.)

Honesty 'is the foundation of every human affair.' I'm hopeful the rest can be worked-out.

honest,

bah.

good thinking, good celery!

You almost startled me. :)

FWIW, I am kin to the Chang dynistry. too.

About exclusive capitualtion report...I suppose its a little late...

but wanted to thank sysprog the other day, and pow wow in the post below, for their efforts in trying to describe the 'problems' with FISA (original) in the modern telecommunication age (i.e. 2000 through 2008). I caught some of the ABA meeting, ref. by sysprog/pow wow, on c-span. Except for a few (uncommonly) insightful questions by the audience (and the panalist on the right(?), from camara perspective), I thought it was a pretty pititful airing of the facts concerning the "assistance" of the Telecoms in helping the Gov. with it's warrantless surveillance program.

...still, I sure would like to see the (secret?) FISA Court ruling which initiated, and evidently necessitates, all these changes in FISA 'foreign to foreign' surveillance ... and puts us at such risk?

Tongue-tied & twisted.

Bop, why does Glenn keep posting videos of John Bolton! You know, bop o, I've been trying to hold-my-tongue about this, or at least keep it in my cheek (per. William's advice), but there is ...something about Bolton that makes my brain hurt. Viscerally(sp?).

I can barely/faintly speak about. I used to listen to the Amb. Bolton at the UN during the run-up to the War and the effect on me, even then, was... You are a good speller bop, what's the word I'm looking for? All I know is, every time I see him, I have this urge to hog-tie Mr. Bolton. Then, tar, feather and ride his as* out of town on a rail, the Third rail, preferably. End of interview.

Well, bop, I've got to go brush the snow off my tulips. It's almost Spring time.

Don't forget to spring-forward tonight.

bah.

ps. On the bright side, William Timberman is progressing satisfactorly with his english studies. (I'll keep you posted.)

Einbildung ist auch eine Bildung. (Vanity is also a [form of] education.)

Yes, That's it William.

Now, in english, we call that the Big Head.

Well done.

Bah.
