'...and if I never have a dime,
I'll be rich as rockafeller,
gold dust at my feet,
on the sunny side of the street.' *willie, waylon and petey- be ___ o's fine free range chickens.
Well, I saved, scrimped and finally bought C-Span 2 (free speech ain't cheap, neither.). I watched some s-2248 debate yesterday and a fair bit today. It's good to see this in person (tv can be a two-edged sword, i think).
I shain't mince words: For immediate release. Sen.s Reid, rockyfeller and the like are lying through their teeth.
UU*U *lie
If I were a Revolutionary like Glenn, I'd take a F_____g flame thrower to that place. who ah.
stay tuned,
bah.
And you won't worry so much about the state of our union. Madame Speaker. Just don't turn your back on em' ... they'll snatch you bald-headed. (*scalp.)
Well now, what's going on with FISA? Are they doing anything worthwhile, or what, Glenn. It's about time for a update, imo. I will say, even most of those who are *against* amnesty/immunity don't seem to know what they are talking about. To wit: constant harping on how the Telcoms can-not defend themsleves in court. Maybe you, or some kindly lawyer here, could send all of them an unsolicited email explaining the facts of this matter.
update: Journalist/re-porter John King (and that Col. Boylon dude, the spokesperson for Gen. Patraeus) are about one more unsolicited email away from cutting their left frigging ear off.
i like moon pies too,
bah.
The old Ned Beatty movie. And that kid (in the movie) is my third cousin once removed. (just kidding, sort of.)
We sent him to a nuroscientist and now all he can do is say 'cheers'!
cheers,
bah.
Gordon. Truth is, I probably strum better than I hum.
Eric Weissberg is good, too, but not as good as my third cousin kitt. I like J.D. Crow, one of finest bluegrass finger-pickers around. anywhere. He used to play every sat. night at the local Holiday Inn. Wee doggies uncle Jed, smokin'.
swinging bridge,
bah.
The rest is spilt milk*. Or, as PhysioProf so eloquently puts it: why are we even talking to these bipartisan aliens?
human party,
bah.
Party Chairman and ceo
*ps. otoh Shooter, it's a tough titty said the kitty when the milk ran dry.
And his utter disdain and contempt for the Senate Judiciary Committee's oversite role ... had left me half-deaf, mute and unable to communicate. I share your friend's pain, Glenn. (*Otoh, your 'blog' on that travesty of justice was one of the best I've seen or heard.)
It seems AG Mukasey likes to quote cicero and other romans when pondering illegal wiretapping and torture.
Well I may be down to one good ear, so, my friends, romans and countrymen ...lend me one of yours? I believe it was Cassio (the crest-fallen professional soldier in Shakespeare's Othello) responding to the 'malignant Iago' reassurances that 'Reputation is an idle and most false imposition' who replied that the opinions of his close companions was esteemed beyond words:
"Reputation, reputation, reputation! O, I have lost my reputation! I have lost the immortal part of myself, and what remains if bestial."
bah.
ot/ps.'s:
~Bop, my fine feathered friend, I hope your bad leg gets well. Turtle soup is always good for all kinds of injury and distress, according to YellerHammer Hobbs. be well.
~There is only one candidate left who is Qualified to meet the most urgent and pressing needs (actually more like the fierce urgency of Now) that the next 'leader of the free world' and U.S. President will undoubtedly face. (*The other one was Kucinich, but he dropped out the same way he started; without much fanfare.)
~On a lighter note: I shall be annoucing my Endorsement for President on Wed., Feb. 6, 2008. Super Wed. Note* Glenn, I would appreciate it if you could spruce the place up a bit. Some dramatic Music and fancy graphics is what I have in mind. Thanks in advance.
Is a little shy, bop o. But it don't last long.
K-mart can sure use some free samples of turtle soup. imo.
the Count of Siam,
bah.
*At least, to hear Mukasey tell it.
I, otoh, was mute (ie. unable to speak.), Sherrie.
bah.
And one more thing, Kucinich may be a 'loon' ... but that's a fox in the back of his black cadillac. That codger must be slicker than slick william.
While Glenns out shooting dice in Vegas, a few updates on the Senate FISA goings on:
~ Reid, summoning all his superhuman powers this am., called the Sargent of Arms. The Sargent of Arms is also good at herding cats.
~ Mitch, said that things are going well. Ignore the parlimentary nuaunces.
~ The distinguished Sen. from West Virginny rose to speak. Barely, with help. (long, long pause). He said the Sen. from Timbuktoo(?) should watch his temper and always speak to his colleagues in the third person. It's a Senate Tradition, and I agree. (then he collasped in complete exhaustion!)
~ Finally, they decided all that was enough for the time being.
~ They'll be back.
oh, here they come now.
bah.
I mean, if the terrorists are just one more 'aspect' away from coming here, afterall? (Not to mention the war in Iraq that is supposed to keep them over there in the first place?)
It's most likely because the TeleCom's ain't got no immunity/amnesty, yet. That must be it.
If you need me, I will call you.
who's on first,
bah.
