The phone sex cost more than $5, Mack.

:) ... They can keep the money.

The issue in this case, for me, is whether or not the NSA warrentless surveillence program violated law (FISA).

Discovery, as I understand it, (i.e. one of the only legit 'talking points' on the distinguished Rights side yesterday I could understand, albeit, I'm not a lawyer.), is not possible in that the Telcoms cannot possibly defend themselves due to state secrecy requirments? This arguement was stated as if State Secrecy rules/law(?) prevented the Telcoms from even aknowledging any knowlege what so ever about any alleged NSA program.

Reid is slippery like alvin the chipmonk.

He'll steal your Holiday nuts, if you let him. imo. He says he agin'st anmesty for Telecoms, but it ain't true.

Also, he is a low-talker. I can't hear a fucking word he says.

(And he never looks up when speaking, so you never know who he's talking to ...very disconcerting.)

Other than that, he should be fired on the spot.

btw., Glenn, who you calling 'riff raff', you dang rabble rouser. The Greenwalds of Hazard (close to pig-turd point), now there's some riff raff.

I used to be riff raff. (I admit it)

Nowadays, I'm a sophisticated urbanite.

chow,

Speaking in tongues (deep in the Appalachian foothills).

(h/t hey, dirigo, thanks for that heads up, re; yesterdays wapo. Little doubt, Sen. Mitch $bag man$ McConnell has something to do with this billion$ piece of bacon. Should be a hoot, useless as tits on a timber man.)

Concerning Romney's pursuit of tyrannical power, literally; Glenn, son-brother*, ... as an ex. Snake Handler it took me a while to appreciated just how Mad some of these people are, or could be. IMO, closer examination of Rommeys' view, like the Iraq war itself, has it's roots in some kind-of theological under/overtones.

Not one of Ronmeys' responses startled me in the least. Not one.

Having endured [some] Republican 'debate' among the canidates this year, I think they are all mean-spirited, mad men, in one degree or another... except for Ron Paul who seems more pleasantly ...mad.

(*Even among the Democrats I note on the question; "Nat. security [*or*] human rights" {assuming such a presuppositional foundation is possible}, Mr. Dodd and Mrs. Clinton answered "Nat. secruity").

Also, I predict your not-so-veiled support for Huckabee is not going to last for long, Glenn. Please check-out Edwards or Obama ...or somebody like that, asap.

shalom,

bah.

*'son-brother' ...is a Appalachian term of endearment.

I like fluffy puppies.

Like Glenn says 'as long as they don't bugger the livestock':

Immaculate Conception, (belief in)

"I explained that what I meant by that phrase 'public opinions' was published opinions, opinions spread broadcast in print. I said I was in the common habit, in private conversation with friends, of revealing every private opinion I possessed relating to religion, politics and men, but that I should never dream of *printing* one of them, because they are individually and collectively at war with almost everybody's public opinion while at the same time they are in happy agreement with almost everybody's private opinion. As an instance, I asked her if she had ever encountered an intelligent person who privately believed in the Immaculate Conception* - which of course she hadn't; and I also asked her if she had ever seen an intelligent person who was daring enough to publicly deny his belief in that fable and print the denial. Of course she hadn't encountered any such person."

*Throughout Mark Twain's writing, he confuses the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception with that of the Virgin Birth of Christ. (DeVoto.) Mark Twain (the autobiography of).

Don't worry 'bout the Snake Handlers Che Pasa.

It's the snakes you got to watch out for. Trust me. Snake handlers, on the whole, are by nature very Serious people. Honest.

I can't comment on the 'speakers of tongue' or whether/not you should succeed from them, since I don't know what/which tongues you're referring to? No hablo espenol, although I do speak a little of the Kings english and a wee bit o' Manderian.

Re; your blog. Good opening shot of the rather young-ish looking Fidal Castro. I've seen recent pictures of Fidal clean-shaven, and he just dosen't look the same anymore.

aside~ Over the holidays, I've noticed that 'illegal immigration' is now the #1 issue (for those who've not yet succeeded from the union.).

Dang nation and Holy mother of Mary, before you'all start rounding-up all the illegal aliens, I wonder what the Iraqis would say/feel about the illegal immigration problem? Anyway, I think it would be a worthwhile subject for a Blog che (my) pasa. si.

...and the south shall rise again, due to the earths inevitable rotation.

adios,

bah.

You've come to the right place for the eytymology on "poofing", Glenn.

It's appalachian slang/ e.g. "I seen peggy sue 'poofing' on bebop's left-handed cigerette." You should've known this. imo.

(Or, pooftah, in che pasa's tongue.)

I'm going to have to break down and get C-span, Glenn. (i can't rely on a salon link, forever.)> I just can't bear watching the average American TV news no more. By average TV, I mean Pat Buchannon 24/7 on all news channels ...often at the same time. I'ts like magic.

A little thought for Bhutto. I stopped by here yesterday and appreciate all the information from commenters here. Most of it thoughtful and respectful.

...

Still,

laughing at bop's mule,

Trans(fers)-partisan savior.

yeah, well, Bloomburg can kiss my ***. Too.

I don't know about you'all, but it's 2008 (here) and we've (Americans) been fighting a War in Iraq, which Bloom is all for, for ... I forget how long, and don't have no idea why. That is poofing crazy... my fellow Americans, esp. those of you who may be living in Iowa.

It's not, as William puts it, that I'm agin fighting. But, by God, when I'm fighting I at least want to know who/what I am fighting. It just makes sense to do it that way.

I've got to go for now. Just wanted to say a word or three to all the sweet-talkers around here;

happy new year.

burp,

bah.
