Original article: How Hillary could tank

Slacky O. cut you some slack, Walter.

>"The New York senator had successfully joined the Democratic consensus against the Iraqi misadventure,..."

What are you babbling about? Sen. Clinton is *one* of the reasons we have the 'Iraqi misadventure'... btw, 'misadventure' is a gross misstatement. In case you have not heard, the Iraqi misadventure is, now, the Central Front in the Global War on Terror. (*last I heard, anyway)

Don't get me wrong, I'd take a pumpkin over the certifiable lunatics in the White House now...and Sen. Clinton is no dummy.

Imho, the Iraqi misadventure is the result of ignorance, incompetence and corruption, or a combination of the three. Which of these do you think most clearly describes Sen. Clintons' vote for the Iraqi 'misadventure' and when did she join 'the democratic consensu against it'?

I'm in no mood for odes, bop.

Given that FISA doth not mind fereign-to-foreign peeping and even giveth a 72 hour window-of-opportunity for peeping in general... I'm madder than a wet hen on the fourth of July. (*i don't even know what that means, that's how mad I am, bebop.o)

I suppose, Glenn, that the R-political operatives spreading this dung are the same 'grizzled' reporters you keep telling us/we/me about. Imo, some one needs to pull the gizzards out of them lizards. (*if you need help, call me or bop. We're probably listed in the NSA directory. ie. AT&T.)

Bebop, respectfully, you got to 'smoke' the bees first (indica, sativa or Prince Albert will do). That way, you won't get stung with your hand in the honey jar. Also, again respectfully, don't worry about the big horned 'mater worms... it's the bushy-born blossom-end rot you got to watch out for. imo.

Hafiz ode?; 'secrets are many, but strangers are myriad.'

I say,"Hi NSA"? YEP, how may we direct your call,

bah.

Live commenting.

So, where are we on this Glenn. You for or against Mukasey as AG? You seem rather uncomitted, uncharacteristically I might add, about this guy... notwithstanding the NYT's proclamation of your "unexpected support" (end quote). (*otoh, the nyt is well known for talking out of both sides of their mouth, these days.)

Muskasy's views remind of the 'state-righters' on the Supreme Court. They built their bones on State Rights (yak, yak), but when it came to the 2000 FL. election results ...a preemptive strike, right to the heart of State rights. It was all just lip-service I reckon. I get the same feeling with Judge Muskasey.

FWIW, I think the 72-hour FISA provison is excellent and can hardly think of a circumstance where it would prove inadequate? Of course, I think all Top Secret stuff should be strictly limited to a statue of limitations. I mean, what is the point of having 'classified' information if it does not result in some clear, known, public benefit at some point?

Anyway, as others have mentioned here, I figure it really does come down to fear. For some reason, when it comes to a few, isolated Islamists preaching jihad, these people lose all real confidence in the Constitution, rule of law or American values of justice and fair play, imo. I don't know why.

Objection.

>>> "like magic -- all of the pending court proceedings disappear immediately,"

Please tell me/us/&pastafarians everywhere, Glenn, that the pending lawsuits can be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court of the land to determine the... legaliness of this 'amnesty law'? No doubt, those brilliant, non-activist legal scholars on the SC will see-through this Exe./Congressional legal activism and deem this law unconstitutional?

Over ruled?

Btw, the 'system' ain't broke no more than it ever was. No system is immune to a few rotting apples...however, those noble seeds planted by the founders of our country have indeed been fruitful and multiplied... (eg. see Dodd and approx. 75% of the vineyard.)... and it only takes a few good woe-man/men to set things a-right*. (*For example, Sen. Mitch-$isfreespeech- McConnell and the Ky. legislature recently repealed the laws of gravity. Everybody was floating away to the ether-world until I convinced them to recind their decision.)

Sustained,

LBJ took the IRA down to fourth st. u.s.a., b.o.p.

(and what did he find, but the youth of America on LSD.)

otoh, GWB took LSD and gave the CIA to NSA. The NSA made the NIE, M.I.A.. Imo, the FBI is not CIA or NSA, but the NID (N.O.W., is no time for ADL...but that's beside the point.). fwiw, I think gwb should stfu, that would be a-o.k. if not for the AUMF. GWOT (global war on terror)(in Iraq) needs a AUMF.VIP.gwb.com.

BTW, The VP is like the CEO of the DOJ, imho.

OT,. I apologize for being cranky during live-blogging the other day. It was my first live-blog and, evidently, I must have arrived early (early bird gets the worm, an all). Glenn had written, maybe, a mere 3/4 paragraphs and I thought to myself, myself "this is it? After all we've been through over Judge Muskasey, this is all Glenn has to say?". I then proceeded to write a blistering (for me) comment of a few words only to return to thread and Glenn had 'live-blogged' a short novella (complete with updates) that answered most all my important questions! sigh... live-blogg and learn, I say. (I'm kinda stupid, but i ain't dubm.) toot, now I have a VG ideal exactly where GG stands on the DOJ ...and, once again, I'm happy as a pig in a poke.

lol.
