And again

We wish them well with that violent sharia inspired kleptocracy. Palestinians will find that with no Jews involved no one is paying particular attention to the mayhem. Oh you'll see the obligatory blame the Jews for everything call here and there but it starts to look silly especially when they are patently transparent lies, such as BBC's channel 4 recently that stated uncategorically that there was massive Israeli occupation of Gaza, now, in fact, all over Gaza. Uh, I guess they never heard of, the internet? But there's always someone who thinks that if they scream the earth is flat long enough, that they tend to believe that the first person who walks by reminding them the earth is round, is some kind of extremist. Anyway, the pro Palestinian blogerati will soon count for little because - the west doesn't really concern itself with Arab on Arab violence. Never has never will. Sorry - you see the antisemitic diatribes that have been the staple of Palestinian rhetoric for decades has been too successful by half. Now unless there are some Jews involved in some way no one notices. Which of course is fine, I'm sure they don't want too many people paying attention to their internal brutalities and civil uprising. I mean why would they? It's not earning them permanent victim credits.

omooex

That's a bald faced lie and you know it is. Otherwise why would there be an Erez crossing or economic development zone. Otherwise the underpinnings of the Palestinian economy wouldn't be the 175,000 day laborers per day crossing into Israel.

Shame on your lying tongue.

Unintentionally Arch?

If you read this thread of 'letters' you'll see what the problem with the new media really is. It's chatter and nonsense and people carrying on side conversations about who has the right to thump their chests and shout down everyone else. Basically it's 4th grade recess. Kudos.

What would happen if there were no immigration rules at all?

Wouldn't the labor market rapidly saturate? Wages would bottom out and then tend to slowly float up again. What if we pulled an Ellis Island and just made all comers citizens (more or less) on the spot? Give them a SS card and they start to pay taxes and use public services from day one? Then what would happen? I think Lou Dobbs would make a lot of noise and so would the White American nativists and then we'd discover a functioning America where the Libertarians are happy that wages flow like water level and social progressives are happy because everyone is 'legal'. Businesses are happy because wages fluctuate more or less naturally. And so on. People should study the history of the volumes of immigration. They they would understand that numbers peaked naturally and on their own, before the Government stepped in to limit immigration in the 1910-1920 period in response to racists and isolationists. After 1910 there simply were not that many more new opportunities for millions of immigrants to take advantage of (And certainly WW1 put a crimp in immigration, none the less, the numbers track to economic opportunity). Perhaps the solution to the immigration problem is to eliminate the distinction.

And for those of you counting

Best estimate, the body count of intra Palestinian violence in the past several weeks is about 600. A dirty little secret your moral betters at the Guardian and BBC don't want you to fret over. That's approximately the whole death count attributed to the evil Yids for the entirety of 2006. But hey as long as there are no Jews involved it's not really a story. It's just scenery. Carry on Radicals, I hear the Internationale playing somewhere.

Hamas announced today

That Christians in Gaza should seriously consider leaving under threat of physical force, that Islamic law is THE law and that women must all be covered. Now one can prattle that they're really just a bunch of loudmouth rednecks and civil biscotti munching people need not pay attention. But I tend to take seriously the official threats of heavily armed maniacs with a long documented history of acting without compunction when it comes to murdering scores of innocent men, women and children for the crime of simply existing. Of course I don't live there, am not Christian and personally believe that anyone in Gaza who's not lugging an RPG should leave by any means possible, but that's just me. Perhaps there are whole clubs of Berkeley educated 'peace activists' who will charge over there to be human shields to protest The Hamas savagery. Good luck with that. Rachel Corrie died for their 'exuberances'.
