George Bush is not interested the legality

Didn't you get the memo? I can't the life of me think that the White House looses any sleep over the 4th C. Since when has Bush looked for legal permission? Since when does it even matter that you know he knows it doesn't matter?

C'mon, dictatorships aren't all bad. You'll get used to it.

I had no idea

That we have become such a nation of pussies that someone booing at what can only be described as the first moments of the most contentious election in American history is even noteworthy.

Ohhhh the horror, the horror.

If it's not anarcho radicalist ranting

It has no role and no business here at salaamdotcom. Humor is a bourgeois distraction. We must cut the hydra heads off the capitalist colonialist globalist zionist monster.

None of things have been true since 1979

Iran used to be a semi modern forward looking country. That was two generations ago. Since then moving backwards hundreds of years.

Real disconnect or real clever

That the man who professes Jesus as his personal savior what saved him from the demon rum would also portray himself as the buddy to drink the aforementioned evil alcohol with him.

I recommend funny hats

Liberals love to wax poetic about one day vacationing in filthy faraway lands of quaint customs and interesting headgear. The kippah and the fur hat are are simply not enough. I recommend that if Israel wants to attract more tourism they adopt the Green Shmata or perhaps some yurt looking cone with brass baubles as their national dome covering. Make up some history around it and make sure the womenfolk don't speak any English in front of the cameras. Like Yemenis.

Then become a public trust

There are some newspapers, particularly that darling of the upper middle class left, The Guardian (UK) which are not public or even private or closely held corporations. They are public trusts. That's the legal definition of how they are formed and organized. Perhaps niche interests like the Indie Press should investigate it. And I don't mean some macrochaotic tiedyed cooperative either. I mean a public trust. Look it up. You still have to make money but a public trust has some tax and organizational benefits.

So then what is the good aspect of keeping that job in the US?

If you can hire a houseboat of full of Chinese scientists to do your job then what is the value input of your job? When we talk about training we're not talking about more training for the wrong job. We're talking about different training for different jobs. Here in NC a notoriously anti union and anti labor state we lost most of the entire textile and furniture making industries. What would be the benefit to anyone to invest any money in traing people to different jobs in a sector that doesn't exist? Moreover since it is so anti labor, those jobs were non union, lower in the wage scale and with few benefits. If you're losing a $10/hr textile mill job, then there are lots of replacement jobs in that pay range you could get. Me? I'd rather work in Home Depot than get Brown Lung. So the challenge is not to do an imaginary job better, it's to skill up a work force to switch into productive work that might not even exist today. I'm reasonably sure that most of you are doing jobs that didn't exist 30 years ago.

W. Churchill was referring to the civilian victims of 911 and when asked by an astonished group to clarify his point, he repeated it.

Eric Free

What world? Oh the world where people get their information from a diversity of sources, even sources you don't like. As opposed to this world where it's a echo chamber of like minded people who seek out whatever agrees with them. Moreover my world goes to sources not commentary about commentary about commentary about derivative sources. Just because, Eric you know who bloggers are it doesn't make them a primary source for something. All it means is you are familiar with all the people who stroke your personal ego.

I hope that clarifies it. thanks.

If by fringe you mean

OCD embracing chattering navel gazers like this crowd, then yeah. 40 pages of bickering. Wow.

Et Tu Tracy?

What next? The Salon antizionist cookbook? You guys can't hold a candle to real dedicated medicated race baiters and haters. But you get a B+ for effort.

Is Salon becoming irrelevant?

A managing editors column about the gender of a blogger 99.9999999999999% of the world has never heard about? The echo chamber has imploded into a black hole.

But you haven't actually demonstrated anything to the contrary

You just wave your arms over your head and pull the word 'liar' out of thin air. Is that how they teach you folks nowadays? Did you come fresh from indymedia bullet list of talking points?

If you don't like my sources find your own. And then allow me to shit all over them and call you a liar.

Feel free, boy genius.

Original article: The anti-iPhone

A few years ago

A Japanese company built a tiny hands free cell phone that was small enough to be worn like those chop stick looking things or a hair comb. What they discovered THEN is that people did not like to be seen talking to nothing, like crazy cat lady. Now of course we want to be crazy cat lady because crazy cat lady can afford a blue tooth ear bud and is clearly so important that calls can be taken while using the public restroom.

And trust me, I have no problem when I see people talk. None at all. I am not one of those insane people who go all Son of Sam when they see someone else talking on the phone. But it is kind of funny to see them force that image on us.

In today's America people wear camo to STAND OUT. Odd isn't it?

If I thought for a moment I agreed with you lemmings

It would end in a hostage situation on live TV.

Wow: barrel meet bottom here's your spatula

Maureen Dowd sounds like she needs to get her fat ass off the couch once in a while and have a real live creative original thought.

I don't care if you hate Hillary Clinton

Just the idea that if she wins Chris Matthews head will explode in a gout on live TV AND HE STILL WON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP makes me giggle.
