The 'content' as you note is rarely more than someone's comment about a news story. Or better yet the news story itself. Often it's nothing more than a link to a clip from the Colbert Report.
At any rate there's nothing wrong with blogs onlt a fool would deny that a tiny number of them are worth anything at all and virtually all of them are of pathetically low quality. They might as well be MySpace pages.
I've been online since before there was an internet, with academic wide ares networks since 1989. 99.7% of the internet is useless shit.
I don't know what writers you've been reading but SF writers and futurists have always been closet conservatives. Ever since the late 1940's the future's always been dark. Forbidden Planet, all the atomic mutant flicks, This Island Earth, The Day the Earth Stood Still, every single book by PK Dick, Brian Aldiss' Barefoot in the Head, Raymond Briggs' When the Wind Blows, Tatters, Cyberpunk.....The future is at best dirty broken, chipped, some malfunctioning DMV from hell. At worst the dead are the lucky ones. Screw the future. The future is shit.
I can imagine the hilarity when the drunken under/over medicated intolerant redneck asshole soccermoms can fly the minivan. Go up to orbit? Yeah I'm sorry what's your pin code again? Shaniqua the customer service rep will be hanging up on you shortly. Thank you.
More words have been written about the opinions of the opinions of the critique of the opinions of the opinions of the words of some 2nd rate media critic than the sum total of the works of Shakespeare.
I am blogger hear me blog.
The future is here. It's a lazy tap tapping blogging everyone must hear my opinion future. Why do something whe you can opine about it.
It only adds more hydrogen to Chris Matthews empty screaming spit flecked head.
You should do your posts earier in the day and your drinking later. But lost in the befuddlement and confooziiiion there, there's a gem of truth: There are a few blogs that would be immensely improved with a little less dross. You can help out by absconding to the Eedjitarian Rottwieler's site or the Deuce of Clubs' den (going to Instahack or A$$rocket's blog won't help; like most prominent RW blogs, they don't allow comments). It's a "win-win" situation; you'd be raising the collective IQ of both this blog and the destination.
Asshole. This ISN'T a blog. Only self absorbed tools like you think it is. That's really the core of the problem; asshole like you.
Cheers to you too & air kisses.
The State is busy insuring that businesses no longer get tax breaks to come here. Apparently the grass roots movement to make sure that homeowners get all the tax breaks has worked and companies like Google, Dell, Lenovo and others are rethinking their whole approach to putting facilities here in the Tar Heel State. See there's only a finite and constant number of dollars for State government to steal and misallocate. There's only so much to go around. Instead of giving it to businesses to create jobs, they'd rather give it back to homeowners.
It's that goddamn CPU crushing banner ad for Ask at the top of Salon.com. To bad you can't get on to Salon.com using Mozilla with banner ad blocking because it would break the ultramercial page.
Only theocratic candidates need apply. Thank you America.
Of not having ever seen a single minute of a single episode of every single show mentioned. It might as well be Ukrainian farm reports.
Tens of millions of American citizens are relegated to second class status because of the smallest of minor criminal infractions, particularly crappy 2 joint busts?
Yeah there's a GREAT GREAT plan. Super. Hey I'd leave the country, give up by citizenship then sneak back in illegally for a deal like that. Why not, if you're brown you're down.
As long we can toss the little liar in jail for her to be broomstick raped by the dykes. Works for me. After all if you want to be a martyr for the cause go all the damn way.
Iraq is permanently broken. They will never get their shit together, never. Setting benchmarks is laughable. So when we do leave that little plot of hell and it all completely falls apart then what? Not that having it fall apart is either a completely bad thing nor is it avoidable. None the less it will happen. So? I suppose we could just build a big fence around it or something. But why postpone that? We should just throw the keys to that flaming shithouse over our shoulder and leave, tomorrow. Sticking around for a week a month a year a decade isn't going to make the least difference. There are now about 2 million + Iraq expats who have left the country, mostly for western Europe. Anything that's not welded to the floor is being stolen and we could easily take all the shitty Mitsubishi Galant's in the world, send them over there for carbomb duty. Benchmark? What benchmark could that be?
And don't whine about it as you trail a wake of destruction. What's good for the goose, etc. That's fine, so stiff upper lip hit the bricks, sister.
Blah blah We are so important that we have changed exactly nothing.
