Careful what you pine for

At many NC state universities, security is the real police. The cops in whatever city or town the facility is. Oh sure you might you feel safe until they start arresting everyone under the sun for bullshit alcohol and pot busts. You really don't want to fuck with North Carolina cops either. And in NC, a crime committed on state property automatically carries a 50% stiffer penalty. Be aware also that courts in NC don't typically respect the lack of any search warrant either in such cases as a matter of the school taking an in loco parentis role. See the problem with giving people authority is they then don't ask your permission on how or whether to use it.

I blame

Liberals, homosexuals, Muslims, Feminists, lesbians, Democrats, Clinton, women, black people, illegal aliens and anyone who believes in global warming.

If I were President

I'd leave my head buzzed with #1 or 2 clipper. And I'd be eeeevul.

Giuliani wears a rug.

All I can tell you

Is that in the last 25+ years most of my bosses have been women. And most of their peers have been women. I don't know how they were paid in relation to one another but they were certainly paid more than I was. I think and again it's only my own experience that it varies greatly from industry to industry. Health Care, insurance and finance and IT services seems to have parity or near parity.

But isn't this happy liberal paradise?

I mean you've been Muslim cheerleaders for years. If they unwind the clock 500 years isn't that the happy hippy horseshit everyone's been demanding?

Who cares?

When it's a shahid who blows a bus full of Hasiddic schoolchildren we chalk it up to who gives a shit? Guy's dead, lots of people dead, clean up the street move on, blame someone. Usually the victim, at least at Salon. Who cares why, whether his mommy drank or his daddy beat him or Mullah asshole sold him on the idea? Makes no which never mind either way. Life is hard, get a helmet.

It's what Savage says every day

Big Woop. He also said that because of it we don't deserve a country and we should be wiped off the face of the earth. We as in the US. Hmmmm. Well if you say so Mike.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 04:53 AM

What's funny is that the day this happens

The Cheerleaders will be first in line screaming about the erasure of Turkey's aggressive separation of Church and State. Sometimes I think radicals just like to be unhappy and angry about something, anything.

Well if I decode this

I conclude that Kamiya would like to see terrorism in the US, to 'teach us a lesson' about what terrorism is. If what he means is what it would take specifically to make the US do 'something' (though its left as an imaginary exercize for the reader to dream up what that 'something' is..) I have to say I agree. We as a nation won't do anything practical about terrorism unless and until busloads of chubby bottle blonde soccermoms from Peoria are exploding in the streets. But be careful what you angrily wish for Gary. You're familiar with the Patriot Movement; you've written on it. Imagine what those dudes will do once your magical Martial Law is invoked.

No the callers in are even better

When the producers let through someone openly calling for ethnic concentration camps in America I start to laugh. Radio isn't the problem, we are the problem.

What he means is that

There's neither any reason to have to run the 'country' anymore nor is there anything not nailed down left to steal. It's an empty husk run by retards and rednecks fighting over who gets to kill the gays. Of course most of you blame the Jews for everything, so have fun with that. Me? Multiple citizenship and watch the fleet burn from afar when the time comes.

When I pointed out years ago

that gun toting Palestinian 'youth' wore t-shirts indistinguishable from my own kids, people laughed and called me a delusional racist. There isn't even a lexicon for that kind of brittle burnished irony.

I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.

Stop huffing paint, please

There is no known force short of actual force that would cause this gang to walk away from the administration. You need to stop imagining that lawyers on unicorns will dislodge them.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 08:18 AM

If they spent 10% of the effort of 'I told you so'

As they did on their actual intended job, we wouldn't have the slightest thing to concern ourselves with. But sadly, 2000% of the 'media' can only come out after the fact and shake their tiny fists at the TV screen shouting that everyone should have listened to them, if only they had said something in the first place. It's a wasteland and all the people in it, are in fact, in it. Don't come back later and claim your hands and hearts were pure.

Turkey is an aggressively secular state

That went so far as to close the Hagia Sofia as a mosque and turn it into a museum. They also outlawed the 'fez' hat as a class symbol. They haven't done too poorly by it which is why I'm a little alarmed that all the wishywashy well meaning liberals here don't see a problem with rolling all that back for the sake of some militant mulicultural nonsense. If you truly don't see a problem with blurring the distinction between church and state over there, then you should really complain about that over here either.

Original article: A tale of two horrors

that's silliness

There were thousands of people who died last week who went unnoticed by Gary too. Stop cherry picking and then proclaiming everyone else is insensitive.

Let's see: Sudan, Timor, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria all had violent outbursts. Why no column inches for them too? Let's face reality that your handwringing is little more than a rhetorical tool for all the other things you want to say and as far you're concerned those miserables really don't count, in and of themselves.
