If you believe you're right

You can beat a polygraph. Even if you don't you can scam it pretty good. So does it matter what she says? Of course not. She's a cut rate hack, one step above ambulance chaser who fell in George's shitpile one day and never got out. It's like asking Torquemada whether he thinks King Ferdinand of Spain is 'overreaching' or not. These craven crazy deluded dull ambitious none too smart people. What do you think she'll say?

Uh I forgot. I remember George had toast that day for breakfast. Good white American toast. Firings? Haven't a clue.

I wanted to date a pole dancer but would only marry June Cleaver.

So the long and the short of it is

You hate this crap because it's no better than blogging. Uh ok. Sometimes irony is when an anvil hits you like in a Tex Avery cartoon.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

What's wrong with a little ruthless competition? How many, since you opened the door, how many of the thousands of US colleges are this way? Because as far as I can tell the Ivies were always thus. Always. Take Dartmouth for instance, the last Ivy to admit women I believe. But they refused to reduce the number of male admissions so they went from a 16 week semester to a 9 week trimester overnight. Pressure cooker. But so? How many Darmouths are there? True it's a little easier for the legacies to get in but the advantage stops there. I guess there's one or two people who built a Library or something and their kids get a pass - but that's exceedingly rare.

In either case the competition in NC State, yes a public college or the hallowed halls of Berkeley where all the Salonocrackpots come from (or would like to have) - is fierce. How low a pressure education do you want for the people designing CAT scanners?

Isn't the competition for the Iowa Writer's Program fierce too? Isn't the competition for the Berklee College of Music fierce too?

Troubled as in DOA or Stillborn

McCain is a political zero and has been for the last 7 years. He is a nothing. He says nothing and brings nothing to the table. If you couldn't talk about POW's for one week his candidacy - his entire career would be over. McCain Feingold? How did that work out. Now all we get is billionaires who run on their own dime. Good plan there John. Maybe you thought your wife's bottling company could elect you. I wish he would give up and quit Senate too. Can Gov. Janet Napolitano appoint an interim successor? Please I hope so so John McCain can finally shut the hell up and go home.

Marion Barry

It was refreshing when he ran after being in jail to hear him say:

"Yeah I smoked some crack, fucked some 'ho's. At least with me you know what you're getting."

And that my friends is all any of us could ask.

Yeah I think that needs to face the light of scrutiny. No doubt that does occur but so does the concocted major with scattered requirements. So does the school which no longer imposes any restriction on what people may sign up for either. I see a glaring gap in guidance. Again it depends on the program. Engineering is pretty much the same everywhere.

I will say that the gap between a BS sciences degree and a BA liberal arts degree is widening so that a student who decides, even rather early on, to change to a BS program essentially has to start from scratch. Moreover and these are my complaints for decades and always will:

1)

When will you goddamn freshmen be prepared? Why is that year remedial? Why are you taking HS algebra and writing? Maybe you should have taken a semester or two at community college?

2)

And you colleges? Yeah I'm talking to you let me know when are you're done requiring everyone to take 3 semesters of Statistics, 2 of Bio or some other hard science. It's overkill. Not everyone has to know thing one about statistics let alone 9 credit hours of it. Stop overloading the core requirements.

sounds like a little sumpin sumpin

Women want a steady stolid mate for the long run and Raul the pool boy for Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, it sounds. Well I can't fault that reasoning.

They missed their recruiting goals for the last 2 months

Not by a lot but by about 500 each month.

Perhaps Bush could have them interred as security risks

I'd love to see that. If you are called to testify you might be required to divulge state secrets therefore you are an enemy combatant and must be interred in a military prison.

I guess you forget

During the Clinton impeachment debacle 2 House speakers and one House manager I believe were forced to resign when we found out they had long long running affairs and one had a child from his whore. But people I guess don't hold grudges, or, if you say you want to exterminate the people that we say we hate too, then all is eventually forgiven. After all Vitter didn't get caught licking crank off a mans ass, did he? So the Biblethumpers will eventually be ok with it. Marriage IS after all between one man and one woman, and a few other women rented for the occasion. As long as the hooker doesn't have bigger hands than thou, it's all good and Jayzus loves you. Hell he's from Louisiana, so I'm sure at least some of the women were black.

I think the bigger story will eventually be how damn cheap these guys are. I bet he beat more than a few of them out of their tips.
