I suppose one can always point to American indigenous terrorism

But therefore what? It's a little hard for most non-Saloniks to connect the dots. We are a nation of crazed lone gunmen. Whereas across the Arab-Persian world from Tunisia to The Philippines Pakistan, terrorism per se is rarely from the gun of one pissed off lunatic. Unless you think the shahid fairy comes in the night to deliver fully functional car bombs. These are tactics carried out with paramilitary precision. And they are carried out by command structures that have other people-bombs in the queue to carry out the next attack.

I'm sure everyone says the same thing

There go those Sunni car bombers again. WTF is wrong with those dudes?

Yeah those Zulus decapitated another white family last night. Is it in their genes or something?

Those fucking Serbians just mass graved another village. Damn bloodthirsty pricks. We don't do that shit.

PKK mofos. What is it with those Kurds? Do they all grow up leading to chop heads off?

I always thought he was a rather quiet Hutu. Shame he went all beserko and killed those pregnant women.

BTW no one ever said

He wasn't a craven incompetant bootlicking shithead who's only notable skill is he's a personal friend of the President. Ashcroft might have been insane but at least he was a madman with a track record in SOMETHING. Gonzales has NEVER had a job that wasn't personally connected to the whims of George Bush.

This is a waste of time

The level of craven stupidity, dullness, ideological insanity and sheer plodding incompetence is directly proportional to the blind support that person will get from the President. Gonzales is answerable to one man, one. Not the Chief of Staff, not the Senate, not the Supreme Court, not the laws of the land or the Constitution. One Man. One. His Name is George Bush. George Bush is a lame duck President who no longer even pretends to need legal justification to be an unfettered autocrat. Therefore there is no reason for him to worry about what the Congress might or might not do. The thin cover that Gonzales provided in concocting excuses to justify tyranny are no longer needed. Therefore the one man Gonzales answers to is free to allow him to keep his job no matter what the Senate says. This entire exercize is a waste of time. Even if it were to lead to an impeachment charge, the White House wouldn't bother to pay any attention to it. They left off following the law a long time ago.

Muticulturalism leads to tribalism

Which of course leads to violence. As soon as you start inculcating people with the belief that their differences are special, they tend to believe they are more special than anyone else.

A little late to shake you fist at God, isn' it?

Maybe next time don't smoke crack in the 'election' booth and turn over the country to Juan Peron II. Now, it's all just chalk outlines and fat cops mumbling to each other at the scene of the crime.

Bad Opera

It all sounds like an aria in a bad opera. It all ends in Prozac and powertools, doesn't it? Or Tarantino.

His claims are no more cogent

Than all the armchair psychologists and social workers here who seem to have voodoo insight into the dead man's soul. It's all guesswork and supposition isn't it? How do you know that he, like Charles Whitman, didn't have organic brain damage?

Again though

I want to hear a concrete non Turner Diary explantion of how you and your Glock are going to keep the world safe from the bootheels of the United States Army. Seems to me that your weapons need to match the tactics of the day. Way back in 1789 guns made sense, in the sense that shoulder fired missles and strong cryptography did not. Today, those oppressive army troops would not be walking through the woods in Red Coats waiting to get picked off. They'll probably be in a Humvee or a Bradley with air cover. Seems to me that all the superpatriots here should look instead into employing the Second Ammendment to develop IED's, landmines and such. Anyone can see that those are far more effective at suppressing an occupying army than onesies twosies on the rooftop. Plus, most troops are going to be wearing the very armor you lobbied hard to get them.

No clearly, if the Second Ammendment is to have any meaning at all it should apply to car bombs, modified armor piercing IEDs, anti personnel mines and other similar tools that are effective against the tactics that would in fact be used.

And I for one am not opposed to personal ownership of massive stockpiles of improvised explosives. If the occasional workplace accident that takes out a city block is the price of freedom, I am fine with that.

then allow people to wear a scarlet letter

A big "I" on their shirt indicating 'not innoculated'. You are free to do that and we are free to never have sex with you.

Yet armchair liberals have a direct pipeline for the exact and only cause of why suicide bombers do what they do.

See, all this post mortem psychobabble is just that. Once the person is dead, whether it's a shahid or this guy anything you have to say, with all due respect, is something you pulled out of your ass.

BTW why is it no one had anything horrible to say about Krauthammer when he worked for Saint Jimmy of Carter?

Mike from Bedford

Do you know any police? 95% of them or more NEVER draw their weapons. I've known ex NYC cops who went to retirement without once drawing their weapons, ever. The idea that guns are useful only because they get used often and early is another nonsensical argument.
