Original article: Kos gets a pass this week

Careful, you're letting your personas out

Bring up any issue, any issue at all with any sufficiently large group of self professed 'radical liberals' and you will soon discover that you have to adhere to every whackjob opinion, extremist view and obnoxious agenda item of the loudest and most strident among them. It's never enough to have an opinion or to even agree with someone 75%. You have dive headfirst into the KoolAid and emerge with an AK-47 to exterminate THE MAN. Anything else and they call you a neocon zionist turncoat fascist bushloving mysogynist such and such. Which is a shame really, and a blessing. Because when you're so ideologically angry and pure, you wind up leaving all the interesting decisions and work for other people to do. I guess that's why I love the internet so much, it's like a corral for the headcases.

ayin tachat ayin

means no more no less than

Make the punishment appropriate for the crime. In other words don't chop off hands for stealing or brand people and such. Anyone who reads the Mishpatim will understand this and anyone who insists on painting us as bloodthirsty savages will continue to believe that long after oxygen has been restored to their brains.

And Bill

It's not about demonizing elites. It's about outlawing thinking, especially critical thinking. It's about unwinding the clock, oh about 500 years.

Yeah there's a new one

Youung people screaming about the 'system' while they are part of it. Rebel for the right to be like everyone else.

Why not?

Figure the avg IQ of Americans is about 92-95. No higher. Liberals like to point to the 40% high school drop out rate and assume that social engineering is needed. Fact is, people are just dumb. We are a dumb nation.

Saturday, April 14, 2007 10:41 AM

Nah the bell curve is wrong

We are dumb. The NY Times is written at an 11th grade level and most people can't read it. I figure the US is getting about 1% more stupid each year.

Well thank god we still have the death penalty in NC

Because it only costs about a million dollars to defend yourself against wrongful prosecution.

Yeah I'm sure I'd do that

No doubt turn down that 4 million dollar a year job to coach a HS team.

Original article: Ask the pilot

In a kind of intended irony only Americans are cable of

John Wayne Airport is named after a guy (ok not his real name, his stage name) who actually spent years fighting the development and then the enlargement of that very airport. John Wayne, for all of his other warts was an old school Conservative Conservationist. So what the do the assholes in Orange country do to piss on his grave? Why name it after him of course. That's a special kind of dickheadedness that's emblematic of how airports and airlines really are run.

Same way I feel about Don Delillo

Or John Updike. Interesting enough to read the first time. But bears no special desire to reread. I guess he's like Tom Robbins that way too. Pynchon sort of bears rereading but V isn't nearly as interesting the second time. I did sort of get the sense with Vonnegut that he was both recycling material and specifically writing to a hip youth audience, as in late teens or slightly older. Like Neal Stephenson or dear god no, William Gibson.

It's hysterically funny

That the governor of NJ was critically injured in a crash rushing to a talk show emergency precipitated by a derivative of the N-Word uttered by a white boy.

Yeah, the terrorists have won. Or should have by now.

Use em or lose em

At least that's the motto down here. We had a big dust up about a proposal to limit purchases to 15 guns a month. 'Shot down' as it were. Friend of mine, drives the church bus, had his house robbed and they quote "took 17 of my favorite guns" unquote. So unless you want us to pull your card and send you back to Pussy-tania or maybe France, you better get as many guns as you can afford.

Original article: Al-Qaida's next generation

What's the downside to this

Seriously. So? Either it's true and they continue to slaughter each other 10x more often than they do 'us' in the west, or, it's bullshit. Americans don't particularly care if they live in a happy shiny police state and 'Progressives' blog and squawk and blame Israel for everything. It's a win win. We should equip al Qaeda groups and let nature take its course.

Now if we could only have

A black inner city high school football team from Baltimore, West Texas playing aboard the last starcruiser fleet fighting psychochristian space borg hegemony we could hit one outta the park.

As if this makes any difference.

You've got an administration that in reality has no intention of pretending to worry about following the law. You've got 50% of the 'electorate' who would watch George Bush rip the eyes from a swarthy child and eyesocket rape her skull live on television and call it 'fighting terrorism. You've got a media who blames Saddam for Anna Nicole's baby's fatherhood. You've got a Congress spends all its time passing nonbinding symbolic gestures. What possible difference would it make if Alberto got up there and said "Yeah I did it, I broke the law, but I'm retarded so you can kiss my Mexican ass, motherfuckers." What would happen? Nothing that's what will happen.
