The cat is just a cate

For every person on here who makes analogies between children and pets...PLEASE stop.

A cat and a child are not the same and do not, nor ever will, have the same rights as children or humans. As it should be.

To suggest that LW teach his kids not to go near poop...I don't think he is stupid and wouldn't teach the kids this. My cat buries his shit in the dirt. How would the kids see it exactly? And to suggest he tolerate a nusance cat, um, damn straight he can do something about it...the fucker is on his property, shitting!!!

I would suggest LW try the water container method and other ideas to deter the animal. Then escalate his solution as he sees fit.

The cat may be someone's property so it behooves you to check the neighborhood for the owner. If it is found out you "damaged" someone else's property, you could get sued. Plus, someone might the love the damn cat.

By the way, before anyone gets their panties in a bunch...I was the proud and fantastically in love with my dear old dog (the late lovey-dovey-doggie) owner of a silly canine that I miss terribly.

Original article: Duke women not innocent

Shaking my head.......

This sounds like elitist classism on the part of these stupid women.

Great Advice

Mr. Tennis is right on the mark.

I am the oldest of 4 and my sister just 3 years younger me has always been verbally abusive and just a plain asshole on and off thru out the years.

I contemplated just telling her to get out of my life forever but I didn't. Thank God.

I realized that she and I operated at the same way we did as kids....me as big sis treating her like little sis and vice versa....it's like we would fall into our same roles as when we were kids whenever we were together.

We did wake up in time....I have consciously tried to correct my own dumb behavior and she has done likewise. We consciously decided to treat each other like the mature adults we are....not the siblings from long ago.

It's been a year of bliss and I love her so much. We still argue but the nastiness, etc., have finally died.

Mr. Tennis writes with hope and love for family. Family is forever, unless your Michael Corleone!

Original article: Big love

Love is Love

The article is very relevant in today's media obsession with stick figured women.

Men, like women, have varied taste in a partner, but the difference is WOMEN are not given

the fair treatment by media, society, etc..

Women will follow a good man they love to the ends of the earth. The fat, budge, beer belly be damned. That's her man and back off! :)

We women are told men only like the skinny girl, so put that cookie down!! Nevermind, mom and dad have been married for decades and they are both chubsters! :)

Sometimes I wonder if it's just the usual controlling of women (like with access to birth control, etc)......

It was so nice to read about Love. This article could have easily substituted being in love with a fat woman to being in love with the same sex, different race, or different economic class.

I have witnessed similar reactions the author had with his family when my brother brought home his girlfriend (raised in the ghetto of a big city) and obviously not middle class.

I read the letters posted and the shrill sounding "fat=bad" opinions are over the top. I thought Salon readers were a bit more savvy then that....fat is not bad, it has been proven a million times over. What is wrong prejudice and pretending it's ok to smear fat people.

Please read this.....

Original article: The 9/11 deniers

WTF?

I subscribed to Salon for the alternate story to the mainstream news. For insightful investigations. Farhad Manjoo is not the answer.

EDITORS: Why are you continuing to publish articles by a Bush water-carrier??

I am flooded by the misinformation from the mainstream press and I look

to you as a news sanctuary.

I understand the "need" to present all views on a given topic, but c'mon!

Perhaps that writer should send articles to www.freerepublic.com in the future.

I think I'll read www.thenation.com today.

Original article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily

Who Cares if the Italians won...

.....the fans in Italy and the rest of Europe are packed with racist bigots who taunt the like of Thierry (france) mercilessly for being black.

The racism is not being addressed over there. God Bless America and our sports! They should be looking to us.....

Leave Dad Alone!!

LW, please stop your selfish indulgence in what is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!

Fuck, can't dad get off w/o having to worry about how HIS PORN will affect you?

Grow up!! Mom is a grown adult who can take care of herself!

Althouse publicity stunt

That's all it is....she sees Clinton in the background and boom!

Clinton-->behind-->woman-->tits= instant audience for her insipid blog.

I guess a burka would be the only suitable clothing for women with breasts?

It is this attitude that still inhibits women from simply breast-feeding

their children in public because BREASTS are sadly controversial for everyone

(but babies).
