True to form
[Read the article: "The Sopranos" goes dark]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Everyone will have an opinion about the finale -- some will love it, some will hate it, and others will be compelled to tell us why they don't care. My two cents is that the finale remained true to the core premise of the show: most of us live the lives we are born with, are shaped by the good and bad influences of our parents, make decisions and live with the consequences, and get up and go to work every day. Life goes on.

Beware the generalization
[Read the article: Somebody sent child protective services to my house!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]While I agree 100% with advice to the mother to question the operations of the agency, I'd be a little careful about demonizing the small-town aspect of this situation. As for advising the mother to move to a more cosmopolitan area, I have read many horror stories of children falling through the cracks of big-city agencies and ending up dead. Not sure why being in a small town makes it any more or less likely for mistakes to be made or operations to be questionable. I would think it would have more to do with the agency management, political environment, and other factors that can occur anywhere, regardless of the size of the jurisdiction.
