Wow. We're still arguing about whether personal and emotional issues; health & illness; religion & spirituality; parenting and poetry are matters of 'universal' (that is, including male) concern?
Really?
I understand the frustration Democrats feel at Republican hypocrisy -- but this is not our business.
This is family business, and it looks to me like the parents in this case are being appropriately supportive, whatever their politics.
I'm not going to assume the worst, when I don't know and have no way of knowing. Do I want to act like a Republican? No.
Also, just a point of accuracy, I believe that Bristol's father is at least partly Native Alaskan, and so is she.
I'm with Obama on this one; leave the family alone.
I understand the hypocrisy argument, but don't you see it goes both ways? Do we really want to act like down and dirty Rove surrogates?

To your credit, though, you seemed fairly calm. Only slip I saw was the "you'll be sorry" --
Because, of course, he won't.
From the headline, I was certain this would be the video of him stumbling.
... those were black babies. So abortable, you know.
... because he rarely did it. And I don't think that's unimportant.
Olbermann may do the same thing, as eloquently, as passionately -- but he will be easily dismissed because his opinions and biases are clear.
Cronkite's opinion mattered, because he had established credibility as a disinterested reporter beforehand. We were inclined to believe him, and to believe that it was *important* to believe him, because he was so careful to be honest, thorough, and unbiased.
Just ... wow.
