NO to "rain" and "sky"

"Honor" his desire/decision?

His desire is NOT to have a kid - his desire is to find a 'cure' for his unhappiness and feeling shitty about his life.

"Honor"? They're not buying a TV or moving to a different city. SHE has to get pregnant, probably puke for a while, gain a shitload of weight, who knows what other possible complications. SHE DOESN'T WANT TO! If he's going to leave, so be it. She shouldn't have a kid just to save the marriage if that's the case.

Again, SHE will get stuck being the primary caregiver and her husband will realize he's still unhappy.

Right on Laurel

There'd be a WHOLE LOT LESS kids in the world if men were required to be the primary caregiver as most women are.

I think the LW MIGHT (though I don't think that's the issue) be convinced to have kids if her husband guaranteed he would shoulder most of the child-rearing load.

Jesus was a loving socialist liberal

not a "sink or swim on your own conservative hater"

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 01:03 PM

@ cuchulain

Umm, let's see if I can help out and get this started

1) constantly judge/hate people for not being like you

2) only pick and choose the things you want to follow in the bible

3) refuse to even begin to acknowlege the hypocrisy in the bible

4) ignore the message of love/peace and tolerance that jesus taught.

5) DEFINITELY ignore giving up all your belongings and following Jesus

6) support slavery like the bible does

7) women need to shut up ie: not speak in assembly

8) ignore the "death to adulterers" rule

How am I doing so far?

Just name one good thing Christianity has ever done

one great thing in it's teachings given to the world that has made it a better place - rather than promote mass killing, hatred and wideapread intolerance.

@magdelyn

Teabagging is NOT a strictly gay activity. It is solidly and equally owned and performed by hetero and homo. It was even referenced by Samantha on Sex in the City as she enjoyed a nice teabagging now and then but gave the sage advice "just breathe through your nose" (or was it mouth?)

And you can NOT teabag between bathroom stalls! Jesus, if you're going to be "revolted" by something, at least know what you're talking about.

it's funny that you assumed I was a straight guy. As the other poster said - just don't be the first one to pass out!

This is one reason why gay marriage should be MARRIAGE - so it's EQUAL and POSITIVE and NORMAL

It's the parents fault, and I wish there were a way to punish the parents.

Enough with it being OK to hate gays - James Dobbs, or whoever - mostly "christians". I am sick of those hypocritical fuckers. Christianity does NOTHING good for society - they only rally around judgement, hypocrisy and hate.

We need to teach and preach that gay is EQUAL, GOOD, POSITIVE, STRONG and NORMAL.

Bullys should get suspended - only when it hits the parent's pocketbook and they have to stay home from work to watch them -then you might get some results.

Again - being gay is NORMAL and POSITIVE.

Friday, April 17, 2009 01:08 PM

Great mesage, but

While I actually applaud his message:

1) Republicans already ARE a religious party - just watch the McCain/Palin rallies.

2) they need to rally their base around SOMETHING to HATE - because their base is chock full of hateful people - again, watch McCain/Palin rallies - or any republican rally

3) are you preparing for your own coming out?? Liberals welcome you!!

@thecomrade

There's nothing wrong or abnormal about being gay. Being gay is positive, good, healthy - just like being straight!!

I guess you forgot.

@comrade

totally get your point - however, we don't try to find the genes, causes, etc that makes people straight.

The main point is we have to reach a "who cares." It doesn't matter why people are gay, just as it doesn't matter why people are straight. Neither gay nor straight is an aberration - they are both natural.

It also doesn't matter if people are born or choose to be gay -we have to reach the point of thinking that's it's ok to be with who you want to be.

I love this commercial

because it's SO bad and laughable that it will probably have the opposite effect and help the pro-gay marriage cause!

I mean - it's REALLY bad. You heard Colbert's audience laughing at it.

period.

laurel

i'm not sure why i'm bothering with you...but

1) who gives a shit what the bible says? - you live your life by your fantasy book rules and don't force your beliefs on others. the bible also condones slavery.

2) states are forcing it's citizens to gay marry?

3) YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE. it's inevitable.

oh - and really, go fuck youself with your ignorance and hate.

Who's Surprised?

Just like almost all Christians - she's judgemental, preaches hate (homophobic) and is a hypocrite.
