You will be stuck taking care of the kid most of the time. Guaranteed. You husband needs to be happy with himself BEFORE he has kids. He's looking for and EXTERNAL cure to his internal unhappiness.

No kid should be born into a family or to a dad (or mom) because he/she wants them to give him meaning he should be finding himself. "Hey, kid, I'm depressed and unhappy and I'm hoping you're an easy fix for that."

LW can count on 2 things 1) she will be the primary caregiver. 2) if she doesn't want to have kids - he will leave her for a younger baby-maker who does.
